Infrared Quartz Heater with Thermostat
Important Instructions
When switching on the appliance for the first time, allow it to run at full power for about two hours to get rid
of the odour. Make sure that the room in which the appliance is located is well ventilated during this
procedure. It is normal for the appliance to emit small crackling sounds when you turn it on for the first time.
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible
materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3'/1 m from the front
and top of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear. Keep the rear grille away from walls
or drapes so as not to block the air intake.
3. Always unplug heater when not in use.
4. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions or has been
dropped or damaged in any manner.
5. Do not use outdoors. This product is intended for normal household use only.
6. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never
locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water containers.
7. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs or runners. Arrange cord away
or pinched by furniture.
8. To disconnect the heater, turn control to "OFF", then remove the plug from outlet.
9. This appliance has a polarized plug. This plug is intended to fit a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, consult a qualified electrician.
Do not connect the heater to an extension cord, surge protector, timer, direct breaker or an outlet with
other appliances connected to the same outlet. Risk of fire, overheating, malfunctioning, property
damage, injury or even death may result if not adhered to.
10. Connect to properly polarized outlets only.
11. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock, fire, or damage to the heater.
12. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces,
like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
13. The heater has hot or arcing or sparking pads inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or
flammable liquids are used or stored. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding,
papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet / 1 m from the front of the heater and keep them away from
the sides and rear. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not
use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Do not place the heater near a
insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric
shock, fire, or damage the heater.
