To guarantee an optimum playback reliability, a Dirty Head Warning system will
automatically detect when the use of a cleaning tape is necessary and display a
message.This comes in addition to the Automatic Head Cleaning which has
equipped the Philips’Turbo Drive decks over the past years.
• Intelligence
The Tape Position Indicator, in wind and re-wind situations, displays the accurate
position of the tape on the TV screen and indicates progress by means of a
moving/blinking arrow.At any time, you can follow the tape movement on the
TV screen.
• Easy Link
Easy Link offers maximum convenience when it comes to installing a VCR.There’s no
need to wait endlessly for the tuning of all channels or to spend time re-sorting the
presets in the right order.You just connect both VCR and TV with a Scart cable and
plug the mains.That’s all! Moreover, features like Automatic On/Off switching of the
TV when the VCR is used, Direct Record and automatic 16x9 switching make the
daily life of the VCR user much easier.
• Digital Set Top Box Control
This feature offers the possibility to programme the VCR to record a programme
from a Satellite receiver
When the Timer becomes active, the VCR switches the Set Top Box „On“ by means
of a small device (that we affectionately call a „Sat Mouse“) put on the Satellite
receiver.The correct channel is automatically selected and the recording starts.When
the recording is over, both Set Top Box and VCR are automatically switched back to
Stand-By.
• Turbo Timer
Is Timer programming complicated? No!
Is Timer programming time consuming? No!
Just press the Turbo Timer button on the remote control, select the TV channel
you want to record, set the start and the end time.That’s it.All it takes is only a few
seconds.
