•Installthe appliancein aroom whichisprotectedfromfrost.Iftheapplianceis

damagedbecausethesafetydevicehasbeentamperedwith,itisnotcoveredby

theguarantee.

•Makesurethatthewallonwhichtheapplianceismountedcansupporttheweight

oftheappliancewhenlledwithwater.

•Iftheapplianceistobettedinaroomorlocationwheretheambienttemperature

ishigherthan35°C,ventilationmustbeprovidedintheroom.

•Wheninstalledinabathroom,donotinstalltheapplianceinvolumesV0andV1

(seeg).Iftheavailablespaceistoosmall,theycanneverthelessbeinstalledin

thevolumeV2orthehighestpositionpossibleinvolumeV1forahorizontalmodel.

•Positiontheappliancewhereitcanbeaccessed.

•Refertotheinstallationguresofthe"Installation"chapter.

theheatingelementkeep,belowtheendsofthetubesoftheboiler,afreespaceof

480mm.

Anewsafetydevicewhichconformstocurrentstandards(inEuropeEN1487),pres-

sure7bar-0,7MPa-andsize3/4"(1/2"for500L)indiametermustbetted.The

safetyvalvemustbeprotectedfromfrost.

Connectthesafetydevicetoanunpressurisedoutletpipeinafrostfreeenviron-

ment,withacontinuousslopefortheevacuationofthewaterduringheatingupor

drainingthewaterheater.

Adischargepipeconnectedtothesafetyunitmustbeinstalledinafrost-freeaera,

onacontinuousdownwardslope.

Operatesonceamonththedischargeofwatersecuritytopreventscalingandverify

thatitisnotblocked.

Apressurereducer(notsupplied)isrequiredwhenthewatersupplypressureex-

ceeds5bar-0,5MPa.

Connectthesafetydevicetoanunpressurisedoutletpipeinafrostfreeenviron-

ment,withacontinuousslopefortheevacuationofthewaterduringheatingupor

drainingthewaterheater.

DRAIN:Turnoffthepowerandthesupplyofcoldwater,openthehotwaterfaucets

andmanipulatethesafetyvalvebeforeperformingtheseoperations.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Beforeremovingthecover,switchoffthepower.

Theinstallationmustbeequipped,upstreamoftheappliance,withabipolarcut-out

device(fuse,breakerswitch.)(30mAearth-leakagebreaker)

Ifthepowercableisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythemanufacturer,theafter-

salesserviceorsimilarlyqualiedpersonsinordertoavoidanydanger.

3. La commande nomade

3.1 Vérifications préalables

Charge de l’accumulateur

Le chauffe-eau doit être mis sous tension pendant au moins seize heures

en continu pour pouvoir recharger l'accumulateur assurant la transmis-

sion vers la commande nomade.

Dans le cas d'une double tarification (heures creuses / heures pleines),

utiliser le contacteur du chauffe-eau pour le mettre en marche forcée.

Si l'accumulateur n'est pas suffisamment chargé, la communication radio

peut connaître des coupures

Installation des piles sur la commande nomade

S'assurer que les piles sont bien installées dans la commande nomade.

Voir le paragraphe Mise en place des piles, page 40.

Réglage date et heure

Vérifier le réglage du jour et de l'heure en appuyant sur la touche

Voir le paragraphe Réglage du jour et de l’heure, page 42.

Un mauvais réglage du jour et de l'heure peut engendrer un

dysfonctionnement du chauffe-eau.

Une fois ces vérifications réalisées, vous pouvez procéder à la mise en

place de la commande nomade.

• Putthewaterheaterwhereitisprotectedfromfrost(4to5°Cminimum).

• Positionitascloseaspossibletothemostfrequentlyusedtaps.

• Ifitisinstalledinanuninhabitedroom(store-room,cellar,garage)thepipesand

safetydevicesshouldbeinsulated.

• Thecontinuousambienttemperaturearoundthewaterheatermustnotexceed

40°C,soprovideventilationifnecessary.

• Makesurethatthewall-bracketisstrongenoughtocarrytheweightofthewater

heaterwhenfullofwater.

• Allow550mminfrontofeachelectricalelementforperiodicmaintenanceofthe

heatingelement.

• Adriptraymustbeinstalledunderthewaterheaterifitispositionedinafalse

1.1 Installing a vertical wall-mounted water heater (VM)

Theheateriseasilymovedbyliftinghandlesbuiltintotheends.Thereareseveral

waysofxingit,dependingonthenatureofthewalls.

Thin walls (plasterboard partitions):

Ø10mmthreadedrodstraversingthewall,connectedbyprolesorbackplates.

Hard, thick walls (concrete, stone or brick):

GroutinØ10mmbolts,ordrilltotakeØ10mmplugs.

Forbothtypesofwalls,usethedrillingtemplateprintedonthecartonandcheckthe

measurementsbeforedrilling.

Walls not able to bear signicant weight

Theverticalwall-mountedwaterheaterscanbeplacedon a pedestal if the wall

cannotsupporttheweightoftheappliance.Thetopbracketmusthoweverbexed.

Usethepedestalrecommendedbythemanufacturer.

2.Connectingthewater

Thewaterheatermustbeconnectedtothewatersupplyinaccordancewith

standardsandwiththeregulationsinforceinthecountrywhereitwillbeinstalled

(forFrance,D.T.U.60.1).

2.1 Identication of piping on the appliance

• EachtubeisaØ20/27(50Lto300L)steelpipewithgaspitchthreadedend.

• Thecoldwaterinletismarkedbyabluecollar,andthehotwateroutletismarked

byaredcollar.

2.2 Connections to tubing

• Thenatureoftheconnectingtubesmayberigid,usuallycopper(blacksteelis

prohibited)orexible(standardexiblestainlesssteelbraid).

• Ifcopperpipingisused,itmustbeconnectedtothehotwateroutletusingthe

suppliedinsulatedttingoracastironsleevetopreventcorrosionofthepipe(di-

rectcontactiron/copper).Brassttingsareprohibitedatthislevel(NFC15-100

forFrance).

• Theconnectingtubesmustbesealedwhileinstallingthewaterheater(axbre,

etc.),evenifcrosslinkedPEpipesareused.

• Anewsafetydevice(notsupplied)mustbeinstalledonthewaterheaterinput

andmustcomplywiththestandardsinforce(inEurope:EN1487),pressure7

bar-0.7MPa-andsize3/4’’(1’’forthe500l).Connectthesafetyunittoadrain

pipe,kept intheopenair, inafrost-free areaandonacontinuousdownward

slopetodrainanyexpandedheatedwaterortodrainthewaterheater.

• Adischargepipeconnectedtothe safetyunitmust beinstalledin afrost-free

area,onacontinuousdownwardslope.

• Ifpipesmadeofsyntheticmaterial(suchasPER)areused,acontrolthermostat

mustalwaysbeplacedonthewaterheateroutlet.Itshouldbesetappropriately

forthematerialused.

• Thepipesusedmustwithstand100°Cand10bar-1MPa.

toreducetheriskofburns:

• Inbathroomsandwashrooms,themaximumhotwatertemperatureis50°Cat

drawoffpoints.

• Inotherrooms,themaximumhotwatertemperatureis60°Catdrawoffpoints.

Inareaswithveryhardwater(Th>20°f),youareadvisedtotreatthewater.With

awatersoftener,thehardnessofthewatermustremainabove15°f.Thesoftener

doesnotchangeourguarantee,provideditisCSTB-certiedinFrance,issetap-

propriatelyandisregularlycheckedandmaintained.

TheelectricalconnectionsmustcomplywithinstallationstandardNFC15-100and

withtheprovisionsinforceinthecountrywherethewaterheaterwillbeinstalled

(label,etc...).

Theinstallationconsistsof::

en continu pour pouvoir recharger l'accumulateur assurant la transmis-

sion vers la commande nomade.

Dans le cas d'une double tarification (heures creuses / heures pleines),

utiliser le contacteur du chauffe-eau pour le mettre en marche forcée.

Si l'accumulateur n'est pas suffisamment chargé, la communication radio

peut connaître des coupures
