GENERAL INFORMATION SAFE APPLIANCE LOCATIONS
Thisapplianceshallonlybeusedinanabove
groundopen-airsituationwithnaturalventilation,
withoutstagnantareas,wheregasleakageand
productsofcombustionarerapidlydispersedby
windandnaturalconvection.
Any enclosure in which the appliance is used
shall comply with the following:
Anenclosurewithwallsonallsides,butatleast
onepermanentopeningatgroundlevelandno
overheadcover(seeExample1).
Withinapartialenclosurethatincludesan
overheadcoverandnomorethantwowalls
(seeExample2&3).
Within a partial enclosure that includes an
overhead cover and more than two walls, the
following will apply:
atleast25%ofthetotalwallareaiscompletely
open,andatleast30%oftheremainingwallarea
isopenandunrestricted(seeExample4&5).
In the case of balconies, at least 20% of the
total wall area shall be and remain open and
unrestricted.

INSTRUCTIONS

Familiarise yourself with the appliance
before connecting it to its gas container.
Keep these instructions for future reference.
1. Removeappliancefromcartonandremove
anytransitprotectionmaterial.
2. Openthelidtotheverticalposition,foldout
thewindshieldandengagetheclipswiththe
slotsinthesideofthebody.
3. Liftthefrontedgeofthewiretrivettoremove
thehosefromitsstoragepositionandreplace
thetrivet.Checkthe“O”ringsforany
damagebeforeconnectinghose.Connectthe
hosetotheappliancebypushingthehose
fittingintotheinletconnector,thentightening
theknurlednutuntilhandtightandfirm.
4. Checkthatthecontrolvalvesfortheburners
areturnedOFF(clockwiseforoff).
5. Connectthehosetothecylinderandusea
spannertotightenfirmly.
6. Ensuretheplasticfeetareinpositionto
maintainclearancebetweentheapplianceand
thesupportsurfaceandforgoodairflowand
correctoperation.
Thisapplianceshouldonlybeoperatedona
hard,flat,levelsurface.
a. Theapplianceareamustbekeptclearand
freeofcombustiblematerials,gasolineand
otherflammablevapoursandliquids.
b. Gasorificesandburnermustbekept
clearofdirtandcobwebs.Flowof
combustionandventilationairthroughthe
perforatedportionsoftheappliancemust
notbeobstructed.
c.Anycleaningagentusedontheappliance
shouldbeofanon-combustibleand
non-corrosivenature.
7. Properclearancefromcombustiblematerials
mustbemaintainedatalltimes.Theminimum
clearancesareasfollows:

Combustiblematerialsareconsideredtobe
wood,compressedpaper,plantfibres,plastic,
plexiglasorothermaterialscapableofbeing
ignitedandburned.
Suchmaterialsshallbeconsideredcombustible
eventhoughflameproofed,fire-retardant
treatedorplastered.Additionalclearancemay
berequiredforglass,paintedsurfacesandother
materialswhichmaybedamagedbyradiantor
convectionheat.
LIGHTING & BURNER ADJUSTMENT
1. Openthecylindercontrolvalveaboutonefull
turn.
2. Eachburnercanbeoperatedindependently
byturningthecontrolvalveon(rotatingthe
knobanti-clockwiseaboutoneturn)and
applyingalightedmatchtotheburner.
Theflamecanberegulatedbyopeningor
closingthevalve.
3. IMPORTANT:Whenturningtheapplianceoffat
completionofuse,thegassupplyshouldbe
firstturnedoffatthecylinder,andallgasin
thehoseburntawaybeforeclosingthevalves
onthestove.Leavingthegasinthehosecan
causejetblockage.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Cleanthebodyofyourapplianceusingacotton
clothsoakedinsoapyhotwater.Neveruse
abrasiveorflammablecleaningproducts.Usea
softbrushtocleantheburner.
STORAGE
Whentheapplianceisnotuseditmustbe
storedinasuitableareatoprotectitfromany
riskofdeterioration.Keepitinawellventilated
areaandoutofreachofchildren.

HANDY HINTS
a.Thehoseconnections,cylindervalveoutlet
connectionandapplianceinletconnection
shouldbekeptclean.Ifgritordirtispresent
whentheconnectionsaremade,therubber
sealsateachendofthehosemaybe
damaged.
b. Toclearblockedjetswashinpetrol.Do
notusewiresorprickers.Ifwashingis
unsuccessful,fitnewjet.
c. CheckforgasleakswithSOAPYWATER.
DO NOT USE A FLAME.
d. Ensurethattheareainwhichtheapplianceis
tobeusediswellventilatedandDONOTuse
asaspaceheaterintent,caravan,etc.
e. Ensuretheapplianceiscompletely
extinguishedbeforedisconnectingfromthe
cylinder.
f. DONOTplacetheappliancecloserthan60cm
fromceilingorflammablematerial.
g. Avoidmovingtheapplianceduringuseasthis
cancauselargeflames.
h. Allowtheappliancetocooldownafteruse
beforetouchingtheburners,trivet,windshields
orfoldingupfortransportation.
