Update instructions for Zyxel P-660HN-T1A v2 modem (for Sonera subscribers)
This update fixes a vulnerability found in TR-064/TR-069 remote management protocols,
which is a potential security risk and might cause the internet connection to become
slow. During this update procedure, any user made changes to the settings will be
removed. This, for example, includes the wireless network name (SSID) and the wireless
password. This update and these instructions are only for devices used under Sonera
subscriptions.
Note: The pictures in these instructions might differ from your device.
Update procedure:
1. Connect a PC to the modem either wirelessly or by using an Ethernet cable.
2. Download the update to the PC from the following link:
http://support.zyxel.fi/P-660HN-T1Av2/200AAFW4D0.bin
(Alternative link: goo.gl/pDScmC)
The download location/folder does not matter.
3. Unplug the telephone cable (RJ-11) from the modem (DSL-port)
4. Turn off the modem by pressing the on/off button. Wait for 5 seconds and turn the
power back on by pressing the on/off button again. Wait for the modem to start.
If any issues occur during the update, please contact Zyxel Support: Tel. +358 9 4780 8411 2 / 4

5. Reset the modem back to factory default settings by pressing the reset-button on
the back panel of the device. The button is in a small hole, you will need a small
sharp object to press it, for example a paperclip or a toothpick.
Press the reset button until the lights on the front panel flash together briefly. This
will take about 10 seconds. Release the button and wait for the modem to start.
Note: If you had previously changed the wireless network name and/or
password, they will be set back to default settings at this point. This might break
the PCs connection to the modem. Reconnect the PC to the modem either by
using an Ethernet cable, or by joining the default wireless network in the modem.
The default wireless network name (SSID) and the password (Wi-Fi key) are written
on the bottom of the device.
6. When the modem has restarted, open a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer,
Chrome or Firefox) and go to address 192.168.1.1
7. Login to the management interface with the following credentials:
Username: admin
Password: 1234
Click Login
