1 Choose a Location
• Mark a place on thedoororwindowfor
youralarm.
• Markaplaceonthedoorframeor
windowframeforthemagnet,aligning
themagnet’sarrowwiththeengraved
lineonthealarm.
• Keepthemagnetedgelessthan5/16
inch(8mm)fromthealarm.

2 Mount the Alarm
Usethesuppliedadhesivestripsorscrews.
With Screws
1. Usethesupplieddrillingtemplateto
markthemountingscrewlocation.
2. Drilltwo1/16inch(2mm)holes.
3. Insertthetopscrew,leavingabout1/8
inch(3mm)toattachthealarm.
4. Installthealarmoverthetopscrew.
5. Removethescrewonthebottomof
youralarmandslideoffthebattery
compartmentcover.
6. Insertthelowerscrewthroughthehole
insidethebatterycompartment.

3 Mount the Magnet
Usethesuppliedadhesivestripsorscrews.
Donotusebothstripandscrews.

1. Useaatheadscrewdrivertoremove
themountingplatefromthemagnet.
2. Usethesuppliedscrewstosecurethe
mountingplatetotheselectedsurface.
3. Connectthemagnettothemounting
plate.

4 Install Batteries
InserttwoAAAbatteries(notsupplied)
intothecompartmentasindicatedbythe
polaritysymbols(+and–)markedinside.
Notes:
• Replacethebatteriesifthe
alarm sound weakens or
the LED flashes red.
• Disposeofoldbatteries
promptly and properly. Do
not burn or bury batteries.
• Donotmixoldandnew
batteries, different types
of batteries (standard,
alkaline, or rechargeable),
or rechargeable batteries
of different capacities.
• Ifyoudonotplanto
use the alarm for a month or longer,
remove the batteries. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can destroy electronic
parts.

5 Use the Alarm
Instant Activation
1. SlidetheINSTANT/DELAYswitchto
INSTANT.
2. InsertthekeyandrotatetoON.
3. Onceactivated,thealarmwillsound
anytimeifitismovedawayfromthe
magnet.Afterabout90seconds,the
alarmturnsoffandtheLEDashes
green.TurnthekeytoOFFtosilence
thealarmimmediately.

2. InsertthekeyandrotatetoON.The
LEDlightsgreenandyouhave15
secondstoclosethedoor.After15

turnsoff.
Deactivation
• Whenyouopenthedoor,theLED
lightsred.RotatethekeytoOFF
within10-15secondsofopeningthe
door.
• Ifyoudonotdisarmthealarm,the
LEDashesgreenafterthealarmhas
soundedfor90seconds.

bypersonswhoarenotaRadioShackAuthorizedServiceFacility;(c)
consumablessuchasfusesorbatteries;(d)ordinarywearandtearor
cosmeticdamage;(e)transportation,shippingorinsurancecosts;(f)costs
ofproductremoval,installation,set-upservice,adjustmentorreinstallation;
and(g)claimsbypersonsotherthantheoriginalpurchaser.
Shouldaproblemoccurthatiscoveredbythiswarranty,taketheproduct
andtheRadioShacksalesreceiptasproofofpurchasedatetoany
RadioShackstoreintheU.S.RadioShackwill,atitsoption,unlessotherwise
providedbylaw:(a)repairtheproductwithoutchargeforpartsandlabor;
(b)replacetheproductwiththesameoracomparableproduct;or(c)
refundthepurchaseprice.Allreplacedpartsandproducts,andproducts

onwhicharefundismade,becomethepropertyofRadioShack.New
orreconditionedpartsandproductsmaybeusedintheperformanceof
warrantyservice.Repairedorreplacedpartsandproductsarewarrantedfor
