This fall, we’re launching a new speaker line
that has the potential to grow our speaker sales
and elevate the brand’s quality audio and design
reputation.
The speaker market is expected to grow as much as
25% globally in 2016 and is currently a top 5
growth category in consumer electronics, so
there’s big upside in this category. Given the
business potential, our typical headphone
competition (Sony, Beats, Bose) also exist in the
wireless speaker category, but some lesser known
brands (Ultimate Ears, Marley, Fugoo) have also
found success.
The Barricade speaker launch introduces three
products into some of the best-selling wireless
speaker price bands:

- Barricade XL (MSRP $169.99)

The current marketplace presents specialist
products: they’re either clearly designated for life
on the road or limited in outdoor features and
should stay indoors. Few are capable of doing both
well, and none are explicitly marketed that way.
If we were to anecdotally assume consumers only make
one Bluetooth speaker every once in awhile, why
would they compromise by purchasing current products
when the new Barricade can do both?
Thanks to great design and durability, Barricade
speakers can crossover from the outdoors to home and
music can sound great and look good anywhere.
