DUAL POWER AMPLIFIERS
DESCRIPTION
FEATURES
P-120D/P-120DH
The P-120D and P-120DH dual power amplifiers feature
high durability, quality sound, and high power output
(P-120D : 200 W when a 4 ohms load is connected,
P-120DH : 120 W when an 83 ohms load is connected
to the high-impedance 100 V line terminal). Input/output
levels and other functions can be remotely controlled or
monitored from external equipment. (An interface unit is
required.) Although the input is of balanced type, it can
be converted into the transformer-baranced input by
installing the optional matching transformer LT-101.
The amplifiers are ideal for sound system applications
including store and permanently installed sound
systems. The following different output modes can be
selected with the mode selector switch: Stereo, BTL
(P-120D only) and parallel outputs. In parallel mode, the
input level of each channel can be set independently.
Both amplifiers are designed for easy installation in
standard 19" equipment racks (2-unit size), and feature
rugged steel chassis construction, and a solid black
finish. LED indicators provide instant recognizable
readout of such operating conditions as signal, signal
clipping, protection circuit activation and level control
bypass. Front panel-mounted carrying handles can be
easily detached for installation in door-equipped racks.
Small in size (2-unit size) and light in weight.
The amplifiers ensure a high degree of safety by
largely reducing the rush current which flows when the
power is switched on.
The amplifiers employ a heat sink with large capacity
for natural air-cooling.
Different output modes are made available for
selection with the mode selector switch : Stereo, BTL
(P-120D only) and parallel outputs. In parallel mode,
the input level of each channel can be set
independently.
An internal limiter, provides current limiting during
overload, and a protection circuit disconnects the
output when it is short-circuited by detecting both
voltage and current levels. The protection circuit also
disconnects the output during an abnormal
temperature rise.
Large output screw terminals (10 mm in width) allow
connection of solderless terminals with diameter of 9.5
mm. Two positive (+) and negative (–) terminals are
provided, allowing four-core speaker cables to be
connected.
Control I/O terminal is provided. Input and output
levels can be remotely controlled or monitored with
external equipment. (An interface unit is required.)
Optional matching transformer LT-101 converts the
input into the transformer-balanced type.
Detachable handles can be easily removed from the
unit's front with a screwdriver.
AC inlet simplifies system maintenance after
installation.
Security cover prevents accidental changing set-up
after installation.
