1 Foreword
Purpose of this manual
This manual describes the possible settings and the use of the configuration
menu on the machine's display screen. This manual also contains the factory-set
PIN data of your machine.
This manual is only intended for the operator of the machine, not for the user.
Store this manual where it will be safe from unauthorized access.
Follow operator's manual
This manual is a supplement to the operator's manual, and contains only notes
on the use of the configuration menu.
Also observe the information contained in the operating instructions of the
machine.

2.1 Means of representation for this operator's manual

3 Using the configuration menu
The machine has a machine configuration system, with which you can adjust
certain of the machine's settings to meet your requirements:
Settings options in the configuration menu
In the configuration menu on the display screen, you can adjust the following
machine settings:
Change setup PIN.
Modify/activate/deactivate machine PIN.
Set machine turn-off time.
Select display language (German, English, French, Spanish, numerical code
display).
Set how the machine reacts to overload (overload sensor).
Operator's controls
Use the ON/OFF switch on the machine to switch between the menu items of the
configuration menu.
The levers on the remote control can be used to change the settings.

3.1 Opening the configuration menu and changing settings
Opening the configuration menu
Note: Access to the configuration menu is secured by the setup PIN.
1. Activate machine.
2. Turn on remote control.
3. Hold the ON/OFF switch on the machine at the same time as the Stand
vibration button on the remote control for at least 3 seconds.
The following text appears on the display:
CAUTION
Unintentional changing of settings.
If you select Setup Exit, the changed settings are always saved.
f If you accidentally changed settings and you do not want to save them,
switch off the machine with the emergency stop switch.

After approx. 2 seconds the following text appears on the display:
4. If the following text appears on the display, enter the setup PIN using the
remote control and then press the ON/OFF switch on the machine.
Push the left control lever on the remote control forward or backward to select
the position.
Push the right control lever on the remote control forward or backward to
select the number.
Note: If you entered the setup PIN incorrectly, an error message will appear
on the display.
If it does, press the ON/OFF switch to be able to reenter the PIN.
5. If, having entered the setup PIN correctly, the following text appears on the
display, press the ON/OFF switch on the machine.
You are now in the configuration menu.
You can change settings using the control levers of the remote control or just run
through the configuration menu using the ON/OFF switch on the machine, to
check the settings.

Changing the setup PIN
The setup PIN secures access to the configuration menu.
You can change the factory default setup PIN.
Note: Never deactivate the setup PIN because otherwise the configuration
menu is not protected against unauthorized changes.
1. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display:
2. After approx. 2 seconds the following text appears on the display and you can
change the setup PIN:
Push the left control lever on the remote control forward or backward to select
the position.
Push the right control lever on the remote control forward or backward to
select the number.

Changing the PIN
You can set a PIN that will protect the machine from unauthorized operation.
After activating the machine, the user must enter the PIN with the remote control.
1. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display:

change the PIN:
Push the left control lever on the remote control forward or backward to select
the position.
Push the right control lever on the remote control forward or backward to

Setting the turn-off time
You can select the amount of time after which the machine automatically
deactivates if it does not receive any more commands from the remote control.
1. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display:

change the turn-off time:

Setting the language
You can choose the language in which information will be shown on the display
screen.
1. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display screen:
2. After approx. 2 seconds the following text appears on the display and you can
set the language:
Push the right control lever on the remote control forward or backward to
select the number.

Language-neutral display solely using numerical code. Use
this setting if the user does not understand the languages

Setting the overload sensor
The machine's overload sensor detects when you are operating the machine on
hard ground that cannot be further compressed. You can determine how the
machine should react to overload in order to protect it from damage.
1. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display:
2. After approx. 2 seconds the following text appears on the display screen and
you can set how the machine is to react in the event of overload.
Push the right control lever on the remote control forward or backward to
select the number.

The receiver units briefly flash red.
After more than 10 seconds of overload, an entry is made in
the error memory (error code 13).
The machine can be operated despite overload.

If overloaded, the machine immediately reduces compaction
performance.

After more than 10 seconds of overload, an entry is made in
the error memory (error code 12).
If overloaded for longer than 10 seconds, the engine is
switched off.

No entry is made in the machine's error memory.
If overloaded, the machine immediately switches to slow
operation (engine in idling mode), and reduces compaction
performance.

Exiting the configuration menu and saving your settings
1. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display screen:
After approx. 2 seconds the changed settings are saved and the configuration
menu is exited.
Note:
If you are uncertain and wish to check the changed settings again, before the
2 seconds have elapsed, press the ON/OFF switch on the machine to run
through the configuration menu again.
2. Deactivate the machine.
Note:
For the changed settings to become effective, the machine must be deactivated
once and then reactivated.

3.2 Changing from numerical code display to language display
Note: The meaning of the numerical codes is given in the appendix of the
operator's manual.
The following steps are necessary to switch from numerical code display back to
language display:
1. Activate machine.
2. Turn on remote control.
3. Hold the ON/OFF switch on the machine at the same time as the Stand
vibration button on the remote control for at least 3 seconds.
4. If the following text appears on the display screen, enter the setup PIN using
the remote control and then confirm with the ON/OFF switch:
Push the left control lever on the remote control forward or backward to select
the position.
Push the right control lever on the remote control forward or backward to
select the number.
5. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display screen:
6. After approx. 2 seconds the following text appears on the display and you can
set the language:

7. Press the ON/OFF switch on the machine until the following text appears on
the display:
When the selected language appears on the display screen, the setting is
complete.

Potential faults, their causes and remedies can be found in the following table.

setup PIN.
However, if you have forgotten both the PIN and the setup PIN, it will
no longer be possible to unlock the machine; in this case, seek the
assistance of the Wacker Neuson representative.
