Welcome
Thank you for purchasing the new Electric plate SY-PE10. In order to fully benefit from
this product, please read these instructions carefully. Store the user manual in a safe
place for future reference.

to keep these instructions for future reference after you have read and understood them
and before attempting to use the product.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and/or personal injury.
CAUTION!
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
WARNING
o Before inserting the mains plug into the socket, check that the mains supply voltage
and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the model
label of the appliance.
o The product should only be placed on horizontal flat surfaces, please do not place
the product on inclined or unstable surfaces in order to prevent any injuries.
o During usage, always keep the unit away from the reach of children in order to avoid
injury as the electric plate operates at high temperatures.
o After use, some parts of the Electric plate will be extremely hot. Use the designated
handles and knobs in order to prevent burning.
o This product should only be used for domestic use.
o This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
o Do not attempt to remove any parts of the housing nor insert any metal objects into
the interior of the appliance.
o To prevent damage to the power cord, always keep it away from sharp edges or
corners.
o Do not place the power cord over or near hot surfaces.
o If the supply cord is damaged, contact Sytech Service Centre for a proper repair.
DO NOT operate the appliance if:

The appliance has been dropped.
The Electric plate is broken or shows any signs of cracks.

o Do not attempt to move the electric plate until it is completely cooled down.
o Ensure always that the pans are situated in the centre of the cooking plate and make

o Care must be taken when using oil or fat for cooking. Do ensure not to overheat by
maintaining close supervision at all time.
o Do not place the electric plate near cloth or curtains in order to prevent fire.
o Make sure the appliance is stored in a dry environment.
o Never move the appliance by pulling the cord.
o Make sure the cord is not entangle.
o Do not use this appliance outdoor.
o Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
o To protect yourself against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance
in the water or any other liquid.
o Do not use this appliance near direct heat sources.
o Do not use an extension cord or similar.
o Make sure the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table or counter.
o We advise to place a heat resistant coating between your table and the appliance.
o Do not use this appliance in the bathroom or near a sink filled with water. If the
appliance happens to fall into water, immediately pull the plug out from the socket.

o Do not switch on the Electric plate without any container on top. This will damage the
appliance.

Using the SY-PE10
Before first use:
Take the appliance and accessories out of the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic
from the appliance.
Clean the plate with a damp cloth.
Connect the power cable to the socket. (Note: make sure the voltage which is indicated on the
appliance matches the local voltage before connecting the appliance. 220-240V~50/60Hz
The heating plate is protected with a protective layer, which for the first use should be removed.
Connect the device and select the highest setting for 10 minutes. Some smoke might appear
due to the remaining of the plastic protector. Switch off the electric plate once 10 minutes have
passed. Now you can use the appliance.
Make sure there is no foreign object such as water or food on the Electric plate before turning it
on.
Always use a pot or a pan with a flat bottom in order to avoid any hazards.
Using the electric plate:
Turn on the Electric plate by turning the switch clockwise. The red control light will light up.
Select the desired temperature by turning the knob clockwise.
1 for the lowest temperature and MAX for the highest temperature level.
Select position 3 for a gentle heating. Use the 4 to MAX levels for cooking or boiling.
When the temperature reaches the setting position, the red control light will turn off.
When the temperature drops, the thermostat will turn the Electric plate back on again.
Cleaning and maintenance
Unplug the appliance before cleaning and allow the plate to cool down completely.
Do not use toxic and abrasive cleaners such as gasoline, scouring powder or solvent. A normal
kitchen cleaner or detergent is sufficient.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any liquid.
Remove the cooking residues immediately.
Beware! The Plate is HOT.
Use a soft damp cloth. For hand stains use a non-scratch cream cleanser.
It is recommendable to apply a cleaner/protector on the cooking plate once a month.
Energy saving tips:
Use only pans with a diameter equal to the Electric hot plate
Use only pots and pans with a flat bottom.
If possible, keep the lid on the pan while cooking.
Cook vegetables, potatoes, etc. with a little water to shorten the cooking time.
Use the correct temperatures for the different type of meals.
Disposal
Used electrical and electronic products must not be discarded with household waste. The
presence of this symbol on the product or its packaging serves as a reminder of this. Some
of the materials of which this product is comprised can be recycled if they are taken to an
appropriate recycling centre. By reusing the components and raw materials of used
products, you contribute significantly to protecting the environment. For further information
on collection sites for used equipment, you can enquire at your town council, the waste
treatment department, or the shop where you have purchased the product.
Do not dispose of batteries with the household waste. Return used batteries to a battery
recycling centre.
Dispose of the packing materials in accordance with local regulations.
