The 682 Shower Head can be installed in two different ways:

Tools needed: Wrench (to remove old shower arm) and
Plumber tape.

Overhead Shower Arm
Shower Down Extendable Shower Arm
Wrap plumber tape around all the threads and hand tighten shower head clockwise.

extendable shower arm, pull the existing shower arm up and
down to ensure the plumbing behind the wall is sturdy and can
hold the weight of the new shower unit - about 4 lbs. when filled
with water (i.e. plastic pipes will NOT hold the weight of the
