Renkforce Radio Antibacterial mouse IR Splashproof: This is a 2.4 GHz wireless mouse powered by a single AA battery. It connects to your computer via the included USB receiver and is compatible with both Windows® and Mac operating systems. Thanks to its coating made of antimicrobial silver phosphate glass, the product is IP53 rated and thus protected against splash water. The product complies with EN 60601-1-2:2015 and can be used as a wireless mouse in both industrial and medical environments. The mouse has four buttons that correspond to all the functions of a conventional mouse.

b) Connected Devices

• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are

connected to the product.

c) LED light

• Attention, LED light:

- Do not look directly into the LED light!

- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!

d) Batteries

• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the battery.

• The battery should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of

time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause

acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to

handle corrupted batteries.

• Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying

around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow them.

• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into re. Never

recharge nonrechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

Operation

Although the protective rubber cover (5) is removable, always keep it on the mouse

to prevent ingress of solid particles and liquids into the mouse.

a) Insert a Battery

The mouse is powered by a 1.5 V AA battery (included).

• Find the battery door on the bottom of the mouse. Hold down and push the battery door in

the direction of the arrow until the door latch is fully visible, then remove the battery door.

• Insert the battery in the battery compartment with correct polarity indicated. Then replace

the battery door.

Intended Use

The product is a 2.4 GHz wireless mouse which is powered by a AA battery. The device connects

a computer via a supplied USB receiver, compatible with Windows

and Mac computers.

The product is spray proof according to IP53, and it is coated with antimicrobial silver phosphate

glass. The product corresponds with EN 60601-1-2:2015 and can be used as an industrial and

medical wireless mouse.

It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors.

For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use

the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In

addition, improper use can result in short circuits, res, or other hazards. Read the instructions

carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only

together with its operating instructions.

Safety Instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety

a) General Information

• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become

dangerous playing material for children.

• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high

humidity, moisture, ammable gases, steam and solvents.

• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.

• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and

protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed

if the product:

- is visibly damaged,

- is no longer working properly,

- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or

- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height

can damage the product.

• The product is spray proof, except the bottom side.

Do not place liquid containers, such as vase, near the product. Protect the bottom

side of the product from liquid spill into the product.

• Keep the mouse at least 30 cm away from medical devices to prevent radio

interference.

• Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the

appliance.

• Maintenance, modications and repairs must only be completed by a technician

or an authorised repair centre.

• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,

contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.

b) Connect the USB Receiver to Computer

Using the supplied USB receiver, you can establish the wireless connection of the mouse to

your computer. The USB receiver is preloaded inside the mouse.

• Open the battery door to access the battery compartment. See section “a). Insert a Battery”.

• You can nd the USB receiver located next to the battery compartment. Take the USB

receiver out as indicated by the arrow in the gure below, then replace the battery door.

• Connect the USB receiver to a USB port on your computer. The mouse is now ready to use.

If the USB receiver is connected to your computer for the rst time, the driver

software of the USB receiver is automatically installed on your computer.

c) Use Controls on the Mouse

• The mouse has four buttons which correspond to conventional functions of a mouse.

• Click the scroll buttons (1) and (2) for vertical scrolling.

The wireless operation range is up to 20 meters. Actual wireless range varies

with use, settings and environmental conditions, such as obstacles and radio

interference.

Care and Cleaning

The protective rubber cover allows you to clean all surfaces of the mouse (except the bottom side)

with spraying water.

The mouse is spray proof, except the bottom side. Protect the bottom part from

water or other liquids. Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.

• If needed, remove the battery from the mouse before each cleaning.

• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as

they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.

• For the parts which are wrapped with the protective rubber cover, you may clean them with

spraying water. Clean the bottom part with a dry, ber-free cloth.

• Clean the product with the supplied cleaning cloth.

Disposal

a) Product

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the

household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance

with applicable regulatory guidelines.

Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.

b) Batteries

You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used

batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.

Contaminated batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the

domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are:

Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash

icon on the left).

Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever

batteries are sold.

You thus fulll your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
