1. INT R ODUC T ION
The C larion VS 755 is a full-featured Digital Media P layer
designed s pecifically for the mobile environment. It is intended
for use with other C larion multimedia products , and can also
be integrated with many other products as part of a complete
mobile video solution. With a s et of auxiliary audio and video
inputs and a digital audio output, the V S 755 can also support
use of optional audio/video components such as camcorders,
videogames, or digital audio process ors. T heVS 755 incorporates
many different video output settings to allow the best possible
viewing experience, regardles s of what type of video monitor
you may be using.
The V S 755 plays DV D discs in NTS C or PAL formats (NT S C
is the standard North American video format), C D-Audio
discs , and C D-recordable discs with MP 3 files. F or more
details on disc types s upported, please see “Discs P layed by
the VS 755.
The remote control (included) provides access to the full set
of s tandard DVD functions, s uch as subtitle control, digital
freeze-frame viewing, viewing from multiple camera angles,
selection of various language audio s oundtracks , and digital
playback at fas t or slow speeds. The VS 755 also s upports
direct access to defined points on a DV D or C D.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Temperature and Moisture
If the player is used while the interior of the vehicle is very cold,
condensation may form on the disc or on the internal optical
pickup system and prevent proper playing of the disc. If you
suspect that condensation is an issue, eject the disc and inspect
the playing surface. If necessary, remove the condensation with
a clean soft cloth as described above. If you still experience
problems with playback, you will need to wait for approximately
one hour to allow the VS755 to warm up, and for the condensa-
tion to evaporate. If playback issues continue, please see your
authorized Clarion dealer.
Discs Compatible with VS755
This VS755 is designed and manufactured to play DVD discs
with region code 1.

from unauthorized recording on VC R s by us ing
Macrovision technology.
MP 3
Digital audio data compres sed in MP E G 1 Layer 3 format.
MP 3 files are approximately ten times smaller than the
non-compres s ed P C M data.
OS D (On S creen Dis play)
Information about the disc and player status are displayed directly
on the monitor s creen.
P arental guidance function
F requently Termed “P arental C ontrol” or “P arental Management Level”,
this function is bas ed on a movie rating ass igned by the MPAA
(Motion P icture Ass ociation of America). Depending on the DVD player
setting, this classification enables entire DV Ds to be blocked for viewing
by childrenand teenagers. Note - not all DVD.manufacturers s upport
this rating system.
C urrently, the following levels are officially
recognized by the MPAA:
G (G eneral audience): s uitable for all members of the general public
including children.
P G (P arental G uidance): allowed for general viewing but with
parental supervision.

Handling and C leaning DV Ds and C Ds
Avoid leaving fingerprints on the dis cs when handling it, never
handle a disc by its edges.
Always s tore discs in their protective cases.
Always ensure that discs are clean and dry before ins erting.
P rotect discs from heat and direct sunlight. Dirt, dust, s cratches
and warped discs will caus e unit malfunction.

Dis c C leaning
Use a dry soft cloth to wipe the surface of a disc. If a disc is
es pecially dirty use a soft cloth s lightly moistened with rubbing
alcohol. Never use solvents such as benzine, or conventional
record cleaners as they may mar the surface of the disc.

P reparing a New Dis c
New disc may have some roughness around the edge. The DV D
player may not work properly or the video/s ound reproduction
may s kip if such discs are used. Us e a ballpoint pen or pencil to
remove roughness from the edges of the disc.

S ervicing the V S 755 DVD P layer in the event a problem arises
with the V S 755, do not attempt to disassemble or repair the
monitor yourself. Opening or attempting to service the monitor will
void the warranty; instead, contact a local C larion dealer for
assistance. T he internal parts are not serviceable by the us er. The
VS 755 is a class I laser product, using a laser which could cause
hazardous radiation exposure if improperly disas s embled. All
warranty service should be performed by an authorized C larion
service center.

C hanges or modifications to this product not approved by the
manufacturer will void the warranty and will violate F C C approval.

F C C Approval
The C larion VS 755 have been tested and found to comply within the
limits of a C las s B digital device, pursuant of P art 15 of the F C C
rules . Thes e limitations are designed to provide reasonable protec-
tion against harmful interference in a res idential installation. This
equipment generates and uses radio frequency energy and if not
installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications.
There is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to a
radio or television reception, turn off the equipment and contact a
local C larion dealer for assistance. C hanges or modifications to this
product not approved by the manufacturer will void the warranty and
violate F C C Approval.

the disc.

S topping P laybac k
- B riefly press (S top) button to pre-stop the unit playback. W hen
button on the front panel or (P lay) button on the remote control is
pressed, normal playback will continue.
- P ress (S top) button twice to stop the playback and go back to the DVD.
P aus ing P lay / S tep P lay
P ressing on the remote control for the first time or press ing on the
front panel during playback will s top playback temporarily. To return to
normal playback, pres s on the remote control or on the
front panel.
If you play a DVD/VC D/S VC D, press on the remote control again to
stop at the next picture (step function). If you play a C D/MP 3/P icture C D,
pressing on the remote control again is ineffective.

After all connections are completed

to turn on the power.
When the unit is on, it will search the
disc automatically. If there is a disc in
the disc slot, the unit will s tart
playback automatically.

1) When the unit is on, pres s

the remote control to turn the unit off
temporarily, in order to stop the
playback in a s hort time and the unit
goes into s tandby state.
2) In standby state, press

again to recall playback.
And for disc playback, it can realize
memory play function.
