Read all Instructions.
Primo is intended for countertop use only.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not use Primo for anything other than its intended use.
Do not use near explosive or flammable materials.
Do not touch hot surfaces.
Close supervision is necessary when Primo is used by or near children.
To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord or plug into the water or any
other liquid.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on
or taking off parts.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorised service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
The use of accessory attachments are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
as these may cause injuries.
Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
To disconnect Primo, turn any control to off, then remove plug from wall outlet.
Use food safe bags which are approved for sous vide cooking.
Keep Primo away from hot surfaces, steam and water.
Do not immerse Primo in water. If any part of Primo’s parts become wet or submerged,
disconnect from the power source and contact Creative Cuisine immediately.
Do not use Primo for anything other than its intended purpose.
Ensure the cable does not touch any hot surface.
Take care when removing the lid when Primo is hot.
Do not leave water in Primo after use. Wait for the water to cool and dispose of accordingly.
Cooking frozen food will slightly increase Primo heat up time. Ensure all cooking times are adjusted
accordingly before cooking with Primo.

Important Safeguards
This appliance must not be supplied through an external switch device such as a timer.
Never use with an extension cord.
Primo is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced mental, physical, sensory
capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of Primo by a person responsible for their safety.
Do no use appliance for other than its intended use.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Carefully remove Primo from the packaging (retain packaging for storage). Ensure instructions
and safety warnings are fully understood.
2. Primo's lid is made in two parts, ensure both parts are fitted before using Primo.
3. Before using Primo for the first time, wipe out the tank with a cloth and wash the rack and both
parts of the lid in warm soapy water.
4. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to wipe Primo. Rinse the parts under running
water and dry them thoroughly before using Primo.
5. Place Primo onto a stable countertop. Fill Primo with water. For optimal heat transfer, fill 2/3
full with water. Do not overfill Primo as you will need to leave room for food to cook.
6. Primo must be at least half full in order to work correctly.
7. Place the tray and rack into the tank and fit both parts of the lid. It is important the tray is used.
Do not place food directly onto the base of the bath.
8. Plug Primo into a suitable mains outlet.
9. The display will illuminate and briefly display the software release number, followed by the tank
size (10L) and then display 4 dashes (-----). Primo is now ready to set the cooking temperature.
10. Once Primo has reached the set temperature, place your vacuum sealed food into the water,
ensuring vacuum pouches are separated using the rack provided. Replace the lid and cook for
the time dictated by your recipe.
11. Primo has a standby mode. With the temperature set, press and hold the Time Mode/Set button
for 3 seconds. The display will show ‘Off’. Press the Time Mode/Set button again and the display
will show a single point. Primo is now in standby. To activate Primo, press either the Time Mode/
Set button or the Temperature Mode/Set button.

Set Temperature Scale
The temperature scale can be selected to display the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
When the display is flashing 4 dashes, hold down the Temperature Mode/Set button for 3
seconds. The display will show the current temperature scale (°C or °F).
Use the adjustment wheel to change to °C or °F as required.
Press Temperature Mode/Set button again to accept your chosen temperature scale.
Set Cooking Temperature
Press the Temperature Mode/Set button.
The display will show the last saved temperature.
Use the adjustment wheel to set the desired temperature and press the Temperature Mode/Set
button again to save the temperature.
The display will show the actual water temperature value, the orange heater symbol will illuminate
and the water in the tank will start to heat.
To view the set temperature at any time, press the Temperature Mode/Set button.

Setting the timer
Primo has a countdown timer function which will countdown from the set time. When the time
has elapsed, Primo will hold the temperature at the set point so food does not become cold.
Once Primo has achieved its set cooking temperature, the heater light will begin to flash as it
maintains the temperature.
Press the Time Mode/Set button (see page 4), the display will show ‘00:00’ with the hours flashing.
Turn the adjustment wheel to the desired number of hours.
Press Time Mode/Set again and set the minutes. Press the Time Set/Mode button again and it will
display ‘Set’.
The display will alternate between the actual water temperature and the time remaining.
When the time has elapsed the display will show ‘End’ and Primo will maintain its set cooking
temperature. The ‘End’ message can be cleared by pressing any button.
The time can be adjusted whilst in cooking mode.
To cancel the timer set the time to '00:00'.
Note: If large pieces of food are added, additional heating time may be required before Primo
reaches the set cooking temperature.
Note: If you wish to set a time of less than 1 hour the time display will show minutes & seconds.

Troubleshooting
My Primo display is showing ‘DRY’
You have started Primo without filling it with water or it has boiled dry during operation. To
reset Primo:
1. Unplug Primo and allow the unit to cool down for 10 minutes.
2. Fill with water and follow the setup instructions on page 7 of this manual.
My Primo display is showing ‘TRIP'
The over temperature protection has tripped because Primo has overheated:
1. Unplug Primo and allow the unit to cool down for 10 minutes.
2. Fill with water and follow the setup instructions on page 7 of this manual.
My Primo display is showing ‘POST’
Primo is still too hot to operate:
1. Unplug Primo and allow it to cool for a further 20 minutes.
2. If the display continues to show ‘POST’ then the unit has been damaged and should be returned
for repair/replacement.
I wish to change the temperature scale
1. Follow the instructions on page 8, titled ‘‘Setting the temperature’’.
