Important Notes

Running-in of your new motorcycle

The first 1.000 km check-up is very important for a motorcycle. The correct

running-in can guarantee both the longest lifecycle and the best performance of

the vehicle. Running-in ensures machined surfaces are gently smoothed to

ensure correct engagement.

Careful and patient running-in will ensure the motorcycle gives full potential to

its excellent performance. It is important not to do anything that may cause

overheating of engine components.

For specific running-in method, please refer to "Running-in of a new

vehicle".

Please carefully read this manual and strictly observe all instructions.

Special attention should be paid to the contents emphasized with the terms of

"warning" "caution" and "note"

Warning……Relates to personal safety. Ignoring it may result in an accident.

Precaution……Refers to operational methods that must be followed or

measures that should be taken, so as to prevent damage.

Note……Refers to special explanations to make maintenance or important

descriptions more explicit.

The User Manual is an important and permanent document of the motorcycle.

Foreword

Thank you for your choosing a MASH motorcycle. In design, development and

manufacturing of the motorcycle, our company applies the latest advanced

technology and equipment to provide you with a vehicle that is reliable, novel in

design and elegant in appearance. Motorcycle riding is one of the most exciting

activities. The motorcycle is an ideal means of transport but it can also give you

huge riding pleasure. Before riding your motorcycle for the first time, please

become familiar with all stipulations and requirements mentioned in this

instruction/user manual.

The instruction manual details the correct use and maintenance of the

motorcycle. Observing the details in this manual will ensure your motorcycle

will perform faultlessly for a long time. Your MASH dealer has skilled and well

User Instructions

Instructions on safe riding of your motorcycle

Always observe the traffic and licensing laws in your country and follow the five

points below.

Wear safety helmet

A high-quality safety helmet is the most important item of personal protection

in motorcycle riding. Therefore, be sure to wear one whenever you drive your

motorcycle. Also wear a pair of proper protective glasses and good gloves.

Be familiar with the vehicle

Understanding how your vehicle is built, maintained and the correct functioning

of all the key controls is vital to enjoying safe motorcycling. Be sure to keep in

mind that skill comes from practice. Train and practice in a safe traffic free

environment.

Understand what a safe speed is

Drive at all times at a speed which is consistent with the prevailing weather

conditions, road conditions and your skill level. Keep within safe parameters

when judging your speed.

Please note that on rainy days, the braking distance is two times as much as

that in fine weather. Keep away from any manhole cover, paint mark or oil

spillage to prevent skidding and always keep a safe distance with any vehicle in

front.

Wear correct clothing

As well as a crash helmet, your motorcycle outfit is important in providing you

with the safest possible experience. Always wear clothing designed for

motorcycling (your dealer can advise).

Do not wear loose or badly fitting clothing which could become entangled with

the moving parts.

Inspection before driving

Always inspect the vehicle before use off to make sure there are no obvious

faults.

The Position of serial numbers

The chassis number (or VIN code) and engine number are necessary for

registration of your motorcycle. The numbers are also needed when ordering

components or spare parts.

Controls

Key

Two keys are provided. Please use one key and put the other in a safe place for

future use.

Instrumental panel

1. Reset counter

2. Speedometer : Miles, Km/h

3. General Odometer

Indicates the total distance traveled by the motorcycle.

4. Turn signal indicators

Lights up to warn rider that indicators are flashing

Warning

If one of front and rear turning lights is defective or broken, the indicators on

the instrument panel and the turning lights may be lit constantly, or may

flash faster than normal. In this event, check indicator bulbs and/or

investigate the cause of the failure

5. Gearshift Indicator

This indicator will show the current gear selected. There are 4 gears. The 4

numbers will be lit on your dashboard. However, when the gears are in

neutral, no number will show, and only neutral indicator (N) will be lit.

6. High beam indicator lamp

When the head light is on high beam, this indicator is lit.

7. Trip mileage recorder

Indicates the distance traveled since last reset

8. Indicator neutral mode

Light comes on when gears are in neutral.

Ignition switch

There are four positions as shown in following sketches

OFF Position

All circuits are disconnected and the key can be removed.

ON Position

All ignition circuits are ON and the engine can be started. The key cannot

be removed in this position.

Handlebar Lock Position

In order to lock the handlebars, turn the bars fully to the left, then insert

the key. Rotate it clockwise to this position and remove

Parking position.

To park the motorcycle at night, turn the key to “ ” position.

In this position, the key can be removed and the tail lamp and

front side light will remain on.

Left handlebar control system

Clutch lever

To start the engine or make a gear change, pull the lever to release the clutch

system and disconnect drive.

Dimmer switch

When the dimmer switch is turned up to " " position, the head light is in high

beam and the high beam indicator lamp on the instrument panel is lit. When it is

turned down to " " position, the low beam is lit.

3.

Turn signal switch

When the switch is turned to left " " position, the left turning signal lamps are

lit and the indicator lamp on instrument panel flashes. When the switch is

turned to right " " position, the right turning signal lamps are lit.

Push to return to the normal position.

Before leaving your motorcycle unattended, make sure that the side or

center stand are positioned on firm ground that will not give way.

If the handlebar is locked, the motorcycle should not be pushed otherwise

there is a high chance of losing balance

Choke

To assist cold starting, the vehicle is equipped with a choke.

To start a cold engine, use the choke lever fully. After starting, allow the choke

lever to return to the halfway position until to the engine has warmed

sufficiently. At this point, release the lever in its initial position.

Note

The choke must be returned to the off position while driving, otherwise poor

running and increased fuel consumption will be the result.

Whenever you are going to change lane or make a turn use the indicators to

alert other road users to your intentions

When the choke is no longer needed return it to the off position quickly to

avoid overheating and engine damage.

Horn Button

Press « » button and the horn will sound..

Right handlebar control system

1.

Engine shutdown switch

The switch is a rocker switch, located on the tip of right handlebar control panel,

with the rockshaft at the center of the rocker. When it is pressed in " " start

position, the switch is turned and the engine can be started. It is an emergency

switch.

If the switch is pressed in " " position, the starting circuit is completely cut off

and the starter motor cannot be started. Do not put the switch in this position

during driving.

Front brake grip

To apply front brake, slowly pull the brake lever on the right handlebar.

When the brake lever is pulled, the brake light will be lit automatically.

Electric start button

Press " " button to turn on the start motor circuit. During starting, put in

neutral gear position to cut off transmission and guarantee safety.

Lighting switch

» ON Position

When the switch is turned to this position, the head light, front position light,

instrument panel light and rear tail light will be lit.

« » Parking light position

When the switch is turned to this position, the front position light, instrument

panel light and rear tail light will be lit.

« » OFF position

All the head light, front position light, instrument panel light and rear tail light

go OFF.

Accelerator grip

Accelerator grip is used to control the engine speed. To accelerate, turn the grip

towards yourself. To decelerate, turn the grip away from yourself.

Fuel tank cap

To open the fuel tank cap, insert the key and turn it clockwise. Then, the fuel

tank cap can be removed together with the key. To replace the cap, align the

arrow on the cap and press the cap, together with the key, into the fuel tank cap

hole until a click sound is heard. Then, remove the key.

The starter motor should not be operated for more than 5 seconds.

Overheating of the starter motor and battery discharge will occur if this

warning is ignored. If starting fails after several attempts, stop to check the

fuel supply system and starting circuit (refer to "Troubleshooting").

Gear Lever

The motorcycle is provided with a 4-speed gear transmission. The gear lever

connects to a ratchet mechanism in the transmission. After selecting a gear, the

gear lever returns to the rest position, so that the next gear can be selected. The

neutral gear is between the first gear and second gear. From the neutral

position, press down the gear lever to engage first gear. Raise the gear lever one

step to move up a gear. Because of the ratchet mechanism you cannot move

two or more gears in one operation. To shift from second gear to first gear, or

from first gear to second gear, it passes the neutral position and does not stay

there. To engage to neutral a gentle movement up from first gear, or down from

second gear is needed. Practice this before your first ride.

Do not overfill the fuel tank. Never splash fuel onto a hot engine. Overfilling the

tank can cause fuel to spill out if the tank is exposed to sunlight, due to fuel

expansion.

During fuel refilling, shutdown the engine and turn the key to the OFF position.

Smoking is strictly forbidden during fuel refilling.

Warning

When the transmission is in neutral position, the neutral indicator lamp is

lit on the instrument board. Be careful to release the clutch lever slowly to make

sure the transmission really is in neutral.

When engaging into a lower gear during high speed driving, when you

release the clutch there will be a sudden increase in engine speed. Before

engaging a low gear, slow down the motorcycle to prevent unnecessary wear of

components in the transmission system.

Rear brake pedal

Press down the pedal to apply rear wheel brake. The rear brake indicator lamp

will illuminate.

Side stand

The vehicle is equipped with a side stand 1.

Fuel cock

Warning: Your bike is equipped with 2 fuel cocks: one on the carburetor and one

under the fuel tank.

Warning

If you park the vehicle on sloped ground, always point the motorcycle in an

uphill direction and engage first gear to prevent it from sliding down.

Always check that the side stand is folded up correctly before setting off
