Quick Functions Overview
A. POWERING ON / OFF
Opening the LCD screen cover will power the camcorder on automatically.
Closing the LCD screen cover will power off the camcorder automatically.
Once the LCD screen cover is open, you may press the [POWER] key for 3 seconds to power the camcorder on or off.
B. RECORDING VIDEO
Once the camcorder is powered on, it will default to VIDEO mode. To begin recording video, press the [RECORD] button.
Once recording begins, you may press the [OK] button to pause recording. Once paused, pressing the [OK] button again will resume recording.
Pressing the [RECORD] button during a recording will stop the recording.
To shoot a quick photo while recording a video, press [PHOTO] button. Please refer to page 7 for more detail.
C. SHOOTING PHOTOGRAPHS
While in VIDEO mode, press the Press the [MODE] button to cycle to the PHOTO mode.
Once in PHOTO mode, half-press the [PHOTO] button while the camcorder focuses on the intended subject.
Once the camcorder's view is in focus, the on-screen focus frame will shift to green. Once the focus frame shifts to green, you may now fully press the
[PHOTO] button to shoot a photograph.
D. DATE & TIME SETUP
Press the [ ] menu on the touchscreen display and select [ ] to enter the system settings menu.
Press [BASIC SETTINGS] and then select [TIME SETTINGS].
On the ttime settings screen, adjust the time and date by pressing the [LEFT] / [RIGHT] / [UP] / [DOWN] keys set until the desired date and time is set.
E. TIME / DATE STAMP
Press the [ ] menu on the touchscreen display and select [ ] to enter the system settings menu.
Press [DATE STAMP] and then select [ON] or [OFF]. Please note that selecting [ON] will print the date and time onto your recorded video and
photographs.

A. BATTERY INSTALLATION
1) To install the battery, remove the battery compartment cover from the side of the camcorder.
2) Insert the battery into the battery slot. Take note of the direction and correct polarity before inserting
the battery.
3) Replace the battery cover.
B. BATTERY CHARGING
1) Power the camcorder off. Insert the included power adapter or USB cable directly into the USB interface. Once plugged in, the charging indicator light
illuminates red to denote a depleted battery.
2) The charging indicator light will illuminate green once charging has completed.
Note: Charge the battery for at least 4 hours for a new battery.
C. EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
1) Power the camcorder on and connect the included power adaptor or USB cable into the USB interface.
2) Once powered on, boot into the selection screen or touch the power supply icon [ ] to enable power supply.

MicroSDHC Memory Card Installation
1. Power the camcorder off.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the MicroSD card as shown in the illustration.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Note: It is recommended to use a MicroSD memory card above class 4.
Powering On and Off
Opening the LCD screen cover will power the camcorder on automatically.
Closing the LCD screen cover will power off the camcorder automatically.
Once the LCD screen cover is open, you may press the [POWER] key to power the camcorder on or off.
MicroSDHC Memory Card Installation
1) Power the camcorder on.
2) Press the [MODE] button to cycle between video and photo modes.
3) Press the [i] button to cycle between smart and normal modes.
Note: Smart mode automatically sets all parameters for the best and optimal image/video. Menu functions are disabled when smart mode is enabled.

Shooting Photographs

Fun Photos
A. TIMED SHOOTING
There are 3 different timed shooting modes available.
In camera mode, press the [LEFT] key to enable single shot mode (default shooting).
Press the [LEFT] key again, and the [ ] icon appears on-screen. Once this mode is enabled, press the [camera] key, and the camcorder will

automatically shoot a photo after 10 seconds.
Press the [LEFT] key again, and the [ ] icon appears. Once this mode is enabled, the camcorder will shoot 3 continuous shots once the shutter is
pressed.
B. SELF-SHOTS
To take a self-portrait, you can rotate the LCD screen counterclockwise by 180 degrees. Aim the lens at yourself, adjust the camera angle and focus,
shoot a photo as desired.
C. FUN PHOTOS WITH EMOTICONS AND FRAMES
While in camera mode, you may choose a photo frame and emoticons for fun photo shots.
Playback Mode
While in video mode, press the [ ] playback button to switch to video playback
preview; in camera mode, press the [ ] playback button to switch to photo playback
preview.
While in playback, press either the [ ] or [ ] keys to select the playback of
video or shoot photos.

Video Playback Preview Mode
Press the [UP] / [DOWN] / [ LEFT] / [RIGHT] buttons to select a
video file for playback, and press the [OK] button to enter the single
segment playback window.
Press the [OK] button to play / pause the video file.
Press the [DOWN] button to delete the current file.
Toggle the [ZOOM] buttons to increase or decrease playback volume.
During video playback, press the [RIGHT] on-screen button to fast
forward video, and press the [LEFT] button to rewind video.

Video Playback Preview Mode
Press the [UP] / [DOWN] / [ LEFT] / [RIGHT] buttons to select a photo file
for playback, and press the [OK] button to enter full screen display interface.
Press the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] buttons to the previous or next photo.
Press the [OK] button to enter slideshow mode.
Press the [DOWN] button to delete the current file.
Toggle the [ZOOM] buttons to zoom in and out of a photo.
Once zoomed in, press the [UP] / [DOWN] / [LEFT] / [RIGHT] buttons to
move around within the zoomed image.

Playback Edit Mode
To enter playback edit mode, press the on-screen [ ] edit
icon while in preview mode.
Press the [UP] / [DOWN] / [ LEFT] / [RIGHT] buttons to select a
file for playback, and press the [OK] button to enter full screen display
interface.
Once a file(s) is selected, a set of touch icons will appear below the
bottom row of images.
Press the on-screen [ ] icon to delete the selected file(s).
Press the on-screen [ ] / [ ] icons to protect or unprotect the
selected file(s). This feature is to protect against accidental deletion of a
file.
Note: After locking, the file cannot be deleted or rotated.
Connecting to a Computer and Transferring/Copying Media
Using the included USB cable, plug the smaller end into the camcorder's USB interface, and plug the larger plug into an available USB port on your
computer. Power the camcorder on and press the on-screen [ ] USB icon.
Once the on-screen USB icon is selected, your computer will prompt you. Please wait a moment while your computer automatically installs the correct
drivers for your camcorder.

a. Go into My Computer from the Start menu.
b. Look under the Removable Disk or Devices with Removable Storage group, or the name of your memory card present there.
c. Double click on Removable Disk or the name of your memory card, and continue through the categorized folders until you see your media.
You may now highlight and or all the files you wish to transfer to your computer. Once highlighted, go to the EDIT menu in the window, and select
COPY. Now you can navigate to your target location and select PASTE for the EDIT menu. Your media may take a few seconds for the transfer
to complete.
Connecting to an HD TV
HD TV Connectivity
Using the included HDMI cable, plug the smaller end into the camcorder's HDMI interface, and plug the larger end of the plug into an available HDMI
port on your TV. Set your TV to the correct input. Power the camcorder on to operate with your TV.
Note: The image on your TV's display and the camcorder's LCD may appear differently.
