2 Material supplied
- Packet with pre-assembled sections
- Packet with the tracks, springs and shafts.
- Box with the hardware fittings
2.1 Tools required
The tools needed to assembly the door are
not supplied by NORPA.
- Drill
- Bits
- Socket spanner set
- Set of Allen keys
- Different types of screwdrivers
(slotted and Philips)
- Hacksaw
- Different types of pliers
- Vice grips
- Ladder or scaffolding
- Level and water hose level
- Tape measure
All necessary personal protection items
should also be worn.
3. Checking the
measurements
It is essential to take each and every
measurement indicated in the diagram.
The door will be manufactured to
the measurements indicated on
the order, making it custom-built
to suit that particular doorway.
Warning!
Before installing the door, re-check all the
measurements. The precise levelling of the
vertical tracks is the most important step in
the installation process.
Any errors at this stage cannot be corrected
later, and will cause the door to malfunction.
4. Installation of the
vertical tracks
For correct levelling, on one side of the door
opening, use a tape measure to measure
one metre up from the finished floor or,
by default, from the exact height at which
the floor is to be finished.
Once the 1 metre mark has been made,
transfer this measurement to the other

side of the opening using a hose level.
Once transferred, the measurement of this
side of the opening should have a
minimum height of 1 m. If this is not so,
then measure a height of 1 m. for this side
and transfer to the other side, as explained
above.
The tracks can also be levelled using a laser
level.
4.1 Mounting the side
seals
The next step is to mount the side seals in
the vertical sections, ensuring that the
seals have been inserted perfectly.
4.2 Mounting the vertical
tracks
Make a 1 metre mark on the vertical tracks,
on the right and the left sides. When
mounting the tracks on the wall, you should
ensure that the marks made on the wall
coincide with those made on the tracks.
4.3 Centring the door,
width wise
Take the X measurement at either
side of the door opening.

Use vice grips to clamp the track
to the wall
Do the same on the other side.
Use a bricklayer's level to level the tracks in
all directions as indicated in the diagram.
Level in all
directions.
If required, use
a shim to level
the tracks.
If the tracks are not perpendicular to
the wall frame, shims should be
used to correct this.
WARNING!
All these levelling
steps are
exceedingly
important if the door
is to function
correctly.

Once levelled, you can begin to secure
the track to the wall, starting from
the bottom.
IMPORTANT!
Mount all items as indicated in the
diagram: Plug, washer, screw.
Fit screws in all the holes provided in
the track.
Do the same at the top of the track.
Then perform the same steps on
the track on the other side.

5. Installing the horizontal tracks
Warning!
The horizontal tracks must be supported until they are completely secured to the
ceiling, to prevent the tracks from falling and being damaged.
Warning!
The horizontal tracks must be
perfectly aligned and levelled in
order to guarantee perfect door
operation.
5.1 Mounting the
horizontal tracks
Screw the horizontal tracks to the
vertical tracks, using the holes
provided.
Do the same on the other side.

7.1 Mounting the spring
Trace a line along the strut, for the full
width of the door, to get a reference
point for mounting all the hangers
and the position of the holes for the
spring breakage supports.
Make the centre of the Shaft bracket
coincide with the door centre,
width wise, and the sliding metal
plate for the shaft bracket must
coincide with the Reference line.
