Ԝ Filter Mounting Screws
By mounting another optional filter instead of the infrared cut filter when infrared cut
filter is not used (fluorescent agent (ICG, etc.) is used to observe fluorescence image),
clearer images can be obtained.
* Shooting images without the infrared cut filter or the optional filter may result in an
incomplete focus. It may also result in unexpected phenomena due to incidental
light.
* Removing them unnecessarily may lead to the loss of screws, infrared cut filter or
the optional filter. It may also cause damage to the optical filter during attachment.
Please notify our sales representative if you wish to remove the infrared cut filter.

This is the switch to set up the automatic/fixed/manual option for the iris. Whether the
aperture for auto iris lens or microscope adapter capable of iris control is adjusted
automatically or manually is selected. It is normally used on its automatic setting.
When it is set to fixed, the automatic/manual iris value at the time is fixed. It is used to
shoot dark (bright) objects in a bright (dark) environment or when the user does not
wish rapid iris changes.

Ԛ Brightness Adjustment Control Knob
This is the control knob used to adjust the brightness.
It functions as a fine adjustment when the electronic shutter and automatic speed
settings are enabled.
When the microscope adapter and the lens for auto iris mode are used, it functions as a
fine adjustment only when ԙ IRIS mode switch is set to automatic.
It can also adjust the iris from closed to open under the manual setting.
ԛ Image Level Indicator
Indicates the image output level.
The image level indicator LED lights up red when the image output signal level has
exceeded 100%.
Ԝ White Balance Button
This button executes automatic white balancing. It is used when the camera has not
been used for a while, when the color balance is unsatisfactory, or when the light source
has changed.
It is to be set by shooting a white subject and changing the brightness adjustment level
to the setting instantly before the image level indicator LED lights up red. When the
white balance button is pressed, “Auto White Balance” is displayed on the monitor
screen and white balance is executed. “= OK =” will be displayed on the screen several
seconds later and auto white balance will be completed.
If an auto iris lens or microscope adapter capable of iris control is used, the iris will be in
the optimal condition automatically.
ԝ Color Bar Button
Outputs the built-in color bar signal for the camera to output the image. The brightness,
contrast and so forth on the color monitor can be adjusted using this color bar signal.
Ԟ Slow Shutter Button
When the subject is rather dark, the shutter speed can be properly adjusted and the
subject can be shot with an ideal level of brightness by setting the shutter speed to
work slower than normal at 1/60 sec. However, this setting is not suited to rapidly
moving objects or objects whose movements need to be captured in real time because
image updating depends on the shutter speed. The maximum shutter speed value can
be changed using this setting.

Ԥ Blue Correction Control Knob
The knob used to make fine adjustments to the blue color level of the image.
ԥ Shutter Button
Maintains the output level on image signals to a certain level by controlling the shutter
speed automatically. Automatic switching is possible from 1/60 second to 1/10000
second. By combining this button with the Gain Button Ԧ, an optimal image can be
output regardless of the brightness of the subject.
MKC-307 0710 VOL1(U)(E)
9
Ԧ Gain Button
Maintains the output level of the image signals to a certain level by controlling the
internal sensitivity setting for the camera automatically when shooting a dark scene
after a bright scene. It is possible to select whether sensitivity is increased to +6dB
(2-fold) or to +12dB (4-fold) in the menu. The optimal image can be output regardless of
the subject brightness by combining this button with the Shutter Button ԥ.
ԧ Outline Enhancement Button
Mainly enhances the outline correction for flesh color. It also has an enhanced function
allowing it to be possible to enhance the outline near the color selected in the menu.
There are 8 colors that can be selected; “flesh,” “red,” “orange,” “yellow,” “green,”
“cyan,” “blue” and “magenta.”
Ԩ Function Buttons
Functions (still screen, still image saving, moving image recording start/stop,
