WARNING: ELECTRICAL GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This
appliance is equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug for your
protection against shock hazard and should be plugged directly
into a properly grounded three-prong receptacle.

IMPORTANT: Read entire instruction
sheet before installing blower kit.
This blower kit is approved for use with
models listed above. Do not use blower
kit in any other replace models.
If any of these parts are missing or
damaged, contact dealer where you
purchased this kit. If they cannot supply
original replacement parts, either contact
your nearest Parts Central or call FMI
PRODUCTS, LLC at 1-866-328-4537
for information.
Note: This installation requires the gas
supply line to be disconnected before
removing log assembly. Call a qualied
service person to disconnect gas supply
from replace.
WARNING: Turn off, unplug,
and let replace cool before
installing blower kit. Only a
qualied service person should
service and repair replace.
NOTICE: Perimeter brick kit, log
set/burner and hearth refractories,
must be removed before install-
ing blower kit. Refer to owner's
manual for specic applications
and additional instructions.
WARNING: A qualied ser-
vice person must connect and
disconnect replace with gas
supply. Follow all local codes.

WARNING: If there is a du-
plex electrical outlet installed
in the right side of the bottom
of the replace base area, be
sure that the electrical power
to the outlet is turned off before
proceeding with blower instal-
lation. Failure to do this may
result in serious injury.
The blower kit utilizes two rotary squirrel

ment and variable speed control.

ACCESSING FIREPLACE
CAUTION: Wear gloves and
safety glasses while handling
or removing parts from your
rebox. Some metal edges may
be sharp. Use caution with log
sets as logs are fragile.
1. Remove perimeter brick kit if in-
stalled, see Figures 1 and 1A de-
pending on model installed

2. Remove screen assembly by push-
ing rod either left or right, then down
and forward to remove screen/rod
assembly from rebox.
3. Remove access door as shown in
Figures 2 and 2A depending on
model installed.

4. Unlock 2 door latches on bottom
of rebox (see Figure 3).
5. Tilt open glass door 45° from the bot-
tom of rebox and lift up to release
door from rebox top retainer (see
Figure 3).
6. Remove grate from slots in burner.
7. Carefully lift and remove 3 hearth
refractories from replace.
NOTE: Rear and side refractories do
not need to be removed.
8. For 36" models only: Remove 3
loose logs from log set (see Figure 4).
9. Remove 3 spacers and one back
ange from rebox bottom
by remov-
ing 13 screws from front, sides and back
of rebox burner base to disengage
from rebox bottom. Lift up entire base
from unit (see Figure 5).

Note: The LPDBK blower kit, is for application into direct-vent models listed on the
front page only and is already factory pre-wired. When installing the LPDBK blower
kit, you must rst check that all wiring connections are secure from the speed control
to the blower (See Figure 6).
1. For 36'' models only, place the
blowers thru the opening of the
burner base already removed and
against the rear wall of the rebox
outer wrapper with the exhaust ports
directed upward (see Figures 7, page
4 and Figure 8, page 5).
2. For 42'' models only, the blowers
have to be installed against the
rear wall and towards the sides
making sure that the air ports are not
blocked by the rebox rear plenum
(see Figures 7, page 4 and Figure
9, page 5).
3. Be certain that all the terminals are
securely attached to terminals on
blower and that the screws retaining
the green ground wires are tight (See
Figure 6).

4. Mount speed control box by placing
it in the front lower corner, where it
can be easily accessed. We recom-
mend the front right side of the re-
place bottom (See Figure 9, page 5).

5. Install the optional remote control kit
(WRC) if desired, this remote control
kit is for turning on/off the blower kit
only. The speed has to be set manu-
ally before using the remote control.
Follow the instructions included with
this kit.
6. Reinstall log set/burner module.
If needed, replace burner gasket
before reinstalling log set/burner
module.
NOTE: Use two hands to place burner
base/logs.
7. Reinstall 3 spacers and the rear
ange to bottom rebox (see Fig-
ure 5).
8. Reinstall 3 hearth refractories
9. Reinstall grate, glass door, mesh
access door, screen assembly and
perimeter brick surround if included.

1. Check to make sure that the power
cord is completely clear of the
blower wheel and that there are
no other foreign objects in blower
wheel. Also double check all wire
leads and make sure wire routing
is not pinched or in a precarious
position. Correct accordingly.
2. Turn on power to duplex outlet if
previously turn off per the warning
on page 2.
3. Plug in blower power cord to duplex
outlet.
CAUTION: Never touch the
blower wheel while in operation.
CONNECTING POWER AND OPERATING BLOWER
4. Turn blower on and check for op-
eration. Turn blower off by turning
knob fully counterclockwise before
continuing.
5. The blower will only run when the
speed control knob is in the ON
position. The blower speed can
be adjusted by rotating the control
knob. To turn off, turn knob fully
counterclockwise until it clicks off.
6. Peel off the backing paper and stick
the supplied wiring diagram decal
on the left replace bottom approxi-
mately 1.5'' in front of the replace
lower face (see Figure 10).
7. Replace all panels and/or acces-
sories if previously removed.

New Products
Standard Warranty: FMI PRODUCTS, LLC warrants this new product and any parts thereof to be free from defects
in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of rst purchase from an authorized dealer
provided the product has been installed, maintained and operated in accordance with FMI PRODUCTS, LLC’s
warnings and instructions.
For products purchased for commercial, industrial or rental usage, this warranty is limited to 90 days from the date
of rst purchase.
Factory Reconditioned Products
Limited Warranty: FMI PRODUCTS, LLC warrants factory reconditioned products and any parts thereof to be
free from defects in material and workmanship for 30 days from the date of rst purchase from an authorized dealer
provided the product has been installed, maintained and operated in accordance with FMI PRODUCTS, LLC’s
warnings and instructions.
Terms Common to All Warranties
The following terms apply to all of the above warranties:
Always specify model number and serial number when contacting the manufacturer. To make a claim under this
warranty the bill of sale or other proof of purchase must be presented.
This warranty is extended only to the original retail purchaser when purchased from an authorized dealer, and only
when installed by a qualied installer in accordance with all local codes and instructions furnished with this product.
This warranty covers the cost of part(s) required to restore this product to proper operating condition. Warranty parts
must be obtained through authorized dealers of this product and/or FMI PRODUCTS, LLC who will provide original
factory replacement parts. Failure to use original factory replacement parts voids this warranty.
Travel, handling, transportation, diagnostic, material, labor and incidental costs associated with warranty repairs, unless
expressly covered by this warranty, are not reimbursable under this warranty and are the responsibility of the owner.
Excluded from this warranty are products or parts that fail or become damaged due to misuse, accidents, improper
installation, lack of proper maintenance, tampering, or alteration(s).
This is FMI PRODUCTS, LLC’s exclusive warranty, and to the full extent allowed by law; this express warranty ex-
cludes any and all other warranties, express or implied, written or verbal and limits the duration of any and all implied
warranties, including warranties of merchantability and tness for a particular purpose to one (1) year on new products
and 30 days on factory reconditioned products from the date of rst purchase. FMI PRODUCTS, LLC makes no
other warranties regarding this product.
FMI PRODUCTS, LLC’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the product, and FMI PRODUCTS, LLC shall not
be liable for any other damages whatsoever under any circumstances including indirect, incidental, or consequential
damages.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental
or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
