Your Weber
ยฎ
gas grill is a portable outdoor cooking
appliance. With the Weber
ยฎ

ยฎ
gas grill is designed for use with
propane gas only. Do not use with natural
(piped in city) gas. The valve and regulator is for
Propane gas only.
โ€ข Do not use with charcoal fuel.
โ€ข This Weber
ยฎ
gas grill is not intended for
commercial use.
โ€ข The use of alcohol, prescription or
non-prescription drugs may impair the
consumers ability to properly assemble or safely
operate the appliance.
โ€ข This Weber
ยฎ
gas grill is not intended for and
should never be used as a heater.
โ€ข Do not leave the Weber
ยฎ
gas grill unattended.
Keep children and pets away from the Weber
ยฎ
gas grill at all times.

Attach Propane Cylinder
Use propane cylinders with a capacity of 14.1 oz or less. Use propane cylinders
that are approximately 3โ€ inches in diameter and 11โ€ inches in length. The
propane cylinder must ๏ฌt through the cylinder support ring (1).
You can ๏ฌnd this tank in the camping, hardware, plumbing section of the store
you are shoppping at.
m CAUTION: Use cylinders that are marked โ€œPropane fuelโ€ only.
Note: Your Weber
ยฎ
gas grill is equipped with a cylinder supply system designed
for vapor withdrawal.
Slide propane cylinder through support ring (1). While holding carrying handle
closest to propane cylinder with one hand, push propane cylinder into regulator
and turn clockwise until tight.
m WARNING: Do not use a wrench to tighten the connection.
Using a wrench could damage the regulator coupling and
could cause a leak.
Check for gas leaks:
1) Regulator to propane cylinder connection.
m WARNING: If there is a leak at connection (1), remove
propane cylinder. Do not operate grill. Use a different
propane cylinder and recheck for leaks with soap and water
solution. If a leak persists after retightening the propane
cylinder, turn OFF the gas. DO NOT OPERATE THE GRILL.

contact information on our web site. Log onto www.weber.com
ยฎ
.
When leak checks are complete, turn gas supply OFF at the source and rinse
connections with water.
m DANGER
Do not use an open ๏ฌ‚ame to check for gas leaks. Be
sure there are no sparks or open ๏ฌ‚ames in the area
while you check for leaks. Sparks or ๏ฌ‚ames will result
in a ๏ฌre or explosion which can cause serious bodily
injury or death, and damage to property.
m DANGER
Do not store a spare LP-gas cylinder under or near this
appliance. Never ๏ฌll the cylinder beyond 80 percent
full. If the instructions are not followed exactly, a ๏ฌre
causing death or serious injury may occur.
Check for gas leaks
After a period of nonuse, we recommend that you perform the following
maintenance procedures for your safety.
โ€ข Inspect the burner for correct ๏ฌ‚ame pattern. Clean if necessary, following the
procedures outlined in the โ€œGeneral Maintenanceโ€ section of this manual.
โ€ข Check all gas ๏ฌttings for leaks.
m WARNING: You should check for gas leaks every time you
disconnect and reconnect a gas ๏ฌtting. Note: All factory-made
connections have been thoroughly checked for gas leaks. The burners have
been ๏ฌ‚ame tested. As a safety precaution however, you should recheck all
๏ฌttings for leaks before using your Weber
ยฎ
gas grill. Shipping and handling
may have loosened or damaged a gas ๏ฌtting.
m WARNING: Perform these leak checks even if your grill was
dealer- or store-assembled.
You will need a soap and water solution and a rag or brush to apply it. To
perform leak checks make sure the Burner is in the off position and turn on gas
supply.
m WARNING: Do not ignite burner while leak checking.
Check for leaks by wetting the connections with the soap and water solution
and watching for bubbles. If bubbles form, or if a bubble grows, there is a leak.
Note: Since some leak test solutions, including soap and water, may be slightly
corrosive, all connections should be rinsed with water after checking for leaks.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Inspection and cleaning of the spider/insect screen
To inspect the spider/insect screen, remove the control knob bracket. If there is
dust or dirt on the screen, remove the burner for cleaning the screen. Brush the
spider/inspect screen, lightly, with a soft bristle brush (i.e. an old toothbrush).
m CAUTION: Do not clean the spider/insect screen with hard
or sharp tools. Do not dislodge the spider/insect screen or
enlarge the screen openings.
Lightly tap the burner to get debris and dirt out of the burner tube. Once the
spider/insect screen and burner is clean replace the burner. If the spider/insect
screen becomes damaged or cannot be cleaned, call Weber-Stephen Products
Customer Service for replacement parts.
Main Burner Cleaning Procedure
Turn off the gas supply. Remove the burner. (See Replacing Burner Tube.)
Look inside the burner with a ๏ฌ‚ashlight.

result in a ๏ฌre, which can cause serious bodily injury
or death, and cause damage to property.
Weber
ยฎ
Spider/Insect screens
Your Weber
ยฎ
gas grill, as well as any outdoor gas appliance, is a target for
spiders and other insects. They can nest in the venturi section(1) of the burner
tube. This blocks the normal gas ๏ฌ‚ow, and can cause the gas to ๏ฌ‚ow back out of
the air shutter. This could result in a ๏ฌre in and around the air shutter, causing
serious damage to your grill.
The burner tube air shutter is ๏ฌtted with a stainless steel screen(1) to prevent
spiders and other insects access to the burner tube through the air shutter
openings. We recommend that you inspect the Spider/Insect screen at least
once a year. Also inspect and clean the the Spider/Insect screen if any of the
following symptoms should ever occur:
1) The smell of gas in conjunction with the burner ๏ฌ‚ames appearing yellow
and lazy.
2) Grill does not reach temperature.
3) Grill heats unevenly.
4) Burner does not ignite.
Main Burner Flame Pattern
The Weber
ยฎ
gas grill burner has been factory set for the correct air and gas
mixture. The correct ๏ฌ‚ame pattern is shown.
1) Burner tube
2) Tips occasionally ๏ฌ‚icker yellow
3) Light blue
4) Dark blue
If the ๏ฌ‚ames do not appear to be uniform throughout the burner tube, follow the
burner cleaning procedures.

TROUBLESHOOTING โ€ข RESOLUCIร“N DE PROBLEMAS โ€ข Dร‰PANNAGE
Problem Check Cure
Burners burn with a yellow or orange ๏ฌ‚ame, in
conjunction with the smell of gas.
Inspect Weber
ยฎ
Insect/Spider screen for possible
obstructions. (Blockage of holes.)
Clean Weber
ยฎ
Insect / Spider screen. (See Section
โ€œAnnual Maintenanceโ€)
Burner does not light, or ๏ฌ‚ame is low in
HIGH position.
Is LP cylinder fuel low or empty? Does the burner light with
a match?
Replace propane cylinder. If you can light the burner with a
match, then check the ignition system.
Experiencing ๏ฌ‚are-ups:
m CAUTION: Do not line the bottom tray
with aluminum foil.
Are you preheating grill in the prescribed manner? Is the
cooking grate heavily coated with burned-on grease?
Burner on high for 10 minutes for preheating.Clean thoroughly.
(See Section โ€œCleaningโ€) Clean bottom tray.
Burner ๏ฌ‚ame pattern is erratic. Flame is low
when burner is on HIGH. Flames do not run
the whole length of the burner tube.
Is the bottom tray โ€œdirtyโ€ and not allowing grease to ๏ฌ‚ow into
catch pan? Is the burner clean?
Clean burner. (See Section โ€œAnnual Maintenanceโ€.)
Inside of lid appears to be โ€œpeeling.โ€
(Resembles paint peeling.)
The lid is cast aluminum, not paint. It cannot โ€œpeelโ€. What
you are seeing is baked on grease that has turned to carbon
and is ๏ฌ‚aking off. THIS IS NOT A DEFECT.
Clean thoroughly. (See Section โ€œCleaningโ€.)
Burner does not light when igniter button is
pushed.
Is burner tube positioned too far away from the igniter box? Check that the burner tube is positioned correctly over the
ignition box. (See Maintenance - โ€œReplacing the Burner Tubeโ€)
Burner ๏ฌ‚ame does not ignite completely
around the burner tube.
Are the burner ports clean and fully open? Clean burner. (See Section โ€œAnnual Maintenanceโ€.) Use a
small paper clip to unclog any dirty ports.
