The Instructions for Use apply to several versions of this appliance. Accordingly, you
may find descriptions of individual features that do not apply to your specific appli-
ance.
INSTALLATION
• Themanufacturerwillnotbeheldliableforanydamagesresultingfromincor-rector
improper installation.
• Theminimumsafetydistancebetweenthecookertopandtheextractorhoodis650mm
(some models can be installed at a lower height, please refer to the paragraphs on work-
ing dimensions and installation).
• Checkthatthemainsvoltagecorrespondstothatindicatedontheratingplatefixedto
the inside of the hood.
• ForClassIappliances,checkthatthedomesticpowersupplyguaranteesadequateearth-
ing.
Connecttheextractortotheexhaustfluethroughapipeofminimumdiameter120mm.
The route of the flue must be as short as possible.
• Donotconnecttheextractorhoodtoexhaustductscarryingcombustionfumes(boilers,
fireplaces, etc.).
• Iftheextractorisusedinconjunctionwithnon-electricalappliances(e.g.gasburning
appliances), a sufficient degree of aeration must be guaranteed in the room in order to
prevent the backflow of exhaust gas. The kitchen must have an opening communicating
directly with the open air in order to guarantee the entry of clean air.
USE
• Theextractorhoodhasbeendesignedexclusivelyfordomesticusetoeliminatekitchen
smells.
• Neverusethehoodforpurposesotherthanforwhichithasbendesigned.
• Neverleavehighnakedflamesunderthehoodwhenitisinoperation.
• Adjusttheflameintensitytodirectitontothebottomofthepanonly,makingsurethat
it does not engulf the sides.
• Deepfatfryersmustbecontinuouslymonitoredduringuse:overheatedoilcanburstinto
flames.
• Donotflambèundertherangehood;riskoffire
• Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons(includingchildren)withreducedphysi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person re-
sponsible for their safety.
• Childrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethattheydonotplaywiththeappliance.
MAINTENANCE
• Switchofforunplugtheappliancefromthemainssupplybeforecarryingoutanymain-
tenance work.
• Cleanand/orreplacetheFiltersafterthespecifiedtimeperiod(Firehazard)
• Cleanthehoodusingadampclothandaneutralliquiddetergent.

INSTALLATION
Drilling the Ceiling/shelf and fixing the frame
• Useaplumblinetomarkthecentreofthehobontheceiling/supportshelf.
• Placethedrillingtemplate21 provided on the ceiling/support shelf, making sure that the tem-
plate is in the correct position by lining up the axes of the template with those of the hob.
• Markthecentresoftheholesinthetemplate.
• Drilltheholesatthepointsmarked:
• Forconcreteceilings,drillforplugsappropriatetothescrewsize.
• Forhollowbrickceilingswithwallthicknessof20mm:drillø10mm(immediatelyinsertthe
Dowels 11 supplied).
• Forwoodenbeamceilings,drillaccordingtothewoodscrewsused.
• Forwoodenshelf,drillø7mm.
• Forthepowersupplycablefeed,drillø10mm.
• Fortheairoutlet(DuctedVersion),drillaccordingtothediameteroftheexternalairexhaust
duct connection.
• Inserttwoscrewsofthefollowingtype,crossingthemandleaving4-5mmfromtheceiling:
• Forconcreteceilings,usetheappropriateplugsforthescrewsize(notprovided).
• forCavityceilingwithinnerspace,withwallthicknessofapprox.20mm,Screws12h, sup-
plied.
• Forwoodenbeamceilings,use4woodscrews(notprovided).
• Forwoodenshelf,use4screws12g with washers 22 and nuts 23, provided.

FIXING THE FRAME
• Loosenthetwoscrewsfasteningthelowerchim-
ney and remove this from the lower frame.
• Loosenthetwoscrewsfasteningtheupperchim-
ney and remove this from the upper frame.
Ifyouwishtoadjusttheheightoftheframe,proceed
as follows:
• Unfasten the metric screwsjoining the two col-
umns, located at the sides of the frame.
• Adjusttheframetotheheightrequired,thenre-
place all the screws removed as above.
• Insert the upper chimney stack fromabove, and
leave it running free on the frame.
• Lift up the frame, fit the frame slots onto the
screws up to the slot end positions.
• Tightenthetwoscrewsandfastentheothertwo
screws provi-ded with the hood.
Before tightening the screws completely it is possible
toadjusttheframebyturningit.Makesurethatthe
screws do not come out of their seats in the slotted
holes.
• Theframemountingsmustbesecuretowithstand
the weight of the hood and any stresses caused by
the occasional side thrust applied to the device.
On completion, check that the base is stable, even
iftheframeissubjectedtobending.
• Inallcaseswheretheceilingisnotstrongenough
at the suspension point, the installer must provide
strengthening using suitable plates and backing
pieces anchored to the structurally sound parts.

CONNECTION IN DUCTING VERSION
When installing the ducting version, connect the
hood to the chimney using either a flexible or rigid
pipe ø 150 or 120 mm, the choice of which is left
to the installer.
To install a ø 150
• Toinstallthedumper10.
• Fixthepipeinpositionusingsufficientpipeclamps
(not supplied).
To install a ø 120
• Toinstallaø120mmairexhaustconnection,insert
the reducer flange 9 on the dumper 10.
• Fixthepipeinpositionusingsufficientpipeclamps
(not supplied).
• Removeanyactivatedcharcoalfilters.
CONNECTION IN RECYCLING VERSION
• InserttheConnectorextensions14.1intothesideof
the Connector 15.
• InserttheConnector15intotheSupportbracket7.3
and fix it with the screws.
• FastentheSupportbracket7.3,fixingittotheupper
part with the Screws.
• Make sure that the Connector extensions outlet
14.1 is in correspondence with the Chimney open-
ings both horizontally and vertically.
• Join the Connector15totheHoodcanopyoutlet
usingarigidorflexiblepipeø¸150mm,selectionof
which is at the discretion of the installation techni-
cian.
• MakesurethattheActivatedcharcoalodourfilter
has been fitted.













FLUE ASSEMBLY - MOUNTING THE HOOD BODY
• Position the upper chimney section and fix the
upper part to the frame using the 2 screws 12c
(2,9 x 6,5) provided.
• Similarly,positionthelowerchimneysectionand
fix the lower part to the frame using the 2 screws
12c (2,9 x 6,5) provided.
Before fixing the hood body to the frame:
• Screwthe2screws12f half way into the holes
provided in the sides of the bottom of the frame.
• Removethegreasefiltersfromthehoodcanopy.
• Removeanyactivatedcharcoalfilters.
• Liftthehoodcanopyandengagethescrews12f
in the slots (A) as far as they will go.
• Workingfrombelow,fixthehoodcanopytothe
frame (B), using the 4 screws 12q and 4 washers
22 provided, then tighten all the screws securely.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
• Connect the hood to the mainsthrougha two-
pole switch ha-ving a contact gap of at least 3
mm.
• Removethegreasefilters(seeparagraphMainte-
nance) being sure that the connector of the feed-
ing cable is correctly inserted in the socket placed
on the side of the fan.
• ConnectthecontrolconnectorCmd.
• ConnectthelightsconnectorLux.
• Placetheconnectorsinthejunctionbox24 and
close it using the 2 screws 12e (2,9 x 9,5) pro-
vided.
• Fixthejunctionboxtothehoodbodyusingthe2
screws 12c (2,9 x 6,5) provided.
• Fortherecirculationversion,fittheactivatedcar-
bon odour fil-ter.
• Replacethegreasefilters.











BUTTON DISPLAY FUNCTIONS
A Displays the set speed Turns the suction motor on and off
B Displays the set speed Decreases the speed of the motor V3 V2 V1
C Displays the set speed Increases the speed of the motor V1 V2 V3
D Displays HI The spot flashes Starts maximum suction speed. After 5 minutes the speed will return
automatically to the one set before. This function can be deactivated
by pressing the button again (the decimal point at the centre of the
display will flash).
E Displays the time remaining before
the hood turns off (countdown)
and the Set speed. The spot at the
bottom right flashes
Enables automatic delayed shutdown of the appliance (Delay), with a
delay that depends on the working speed set.

Speed 2 delay 15 minutes
Speed3 delay10minutes
The proposed delay time can be changed by pressing the button succes-
sively and selecting one of the options available (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and
30minutes).Attheendofthetimeselectedtheappliancewillturnoff
automatically. To deactivate this function, simply press the button until
theoption selectedis 0 or turn the motor off.
F Turns the hob lighting system on and off
Displays F Indicates the need to wash the metal grease filters. The alarm is triggered
aftertheHoodhasbeeninoperationfor100workinghours.Thisindication
is only visible when the motor is turned off. To reset the alarm:
Turn the motor off and press button D for approximately 3 seconds,
until the display turns off.
Displays C Indicates the need to change the activated charcoal filters, and also to
wash the metal grease filters. The alarm is triggered after the Hood has
been in operation for 200 working hours. This indication is only visible
when the motor is turned off. This indication must be activated following
the procedure described in the section on maintenance of the activated
charcoal filter. To reset the alarm:
Turn the motor off and press button D for approximately 3 seconds,
until the display turns off.

MAINTENANCE
Metasletal grease filters
Filters can be washed in the dish machine. They need to
be washed when F-sign appears on the display or in any
case every 2 months, or even more frequently in case of
particularly intensive use of the hood.
Alarm reset
• Switch off the hood and thelights.
• Pressthe D-key till the display is unlit.
Cleaning the filters
• Removethefiltersonebyonepushingthemtowardsthe
back side of the hood unit and simultaneously pulling
downwards.
• Any kind of bending of the filters has to be avoided
when washing them. Before fitting them again into
the hood make sure that they are completely dry. (The
colour of the filter surface may change through-out the
time but this has no influence to the filter efficiency).
• When fitting the filters into the hood pay attention
that they are mounted in correct position the handle
facing outwards.

Charcoal filter (recycling version)
This filter cannot be washed or regenerated. It must be replaced when the C appears on the display or
at least once every 4 months. The filter saturation alarm has to be activated already before.
Activation of the alarm signal
• In RecirculationVersionHoods,theFilterSaturationAlarmmust be activated oninstallation or at a
later date.
• Pressandhold button E (Delay) for 5 seconds, until confirmation appears on the display:
 • Cflashestwice– Activated CharcoalFiltersaturation alarmACTIVATED.
 • Cflashesonce– Activated CharcoalFiltersaturation alarmDEACTIVATED.
Replacing the charcoal filter
Reset of the alarm signal
• Switch off the hood andthelighting.
• PresstheD-key until the display is unlit.
Replacing of the filter
• Remove the metal greasefilters.
• Remove the saturatedcharcoal filterbyreleasing the
fixing hooks
• Fit the new filter andfastenitin its correctposition.
• Put the metal greasefiltersintheir seats.
Lighting
LIGHT REPLACEMENT
20 W halogen light.
• Remove the 2 screwsfixing the Lighting support, and
pull it out of from the Hood.
• Extractthelamp from theSuppor.
• Replace with another of thesametype,making sure
that the two pins are properly inserted in the lamp
holder socket holes.
• Refit the Support, fixing itinplacewith the two
screws removed as above.
