We named it “Carl’s Table” after our innovative Swedish partner who designed it to be more
than just adjustable in the way it tilts and elevates. Carl’s Table also has integrated lighting
that reads the density of your screen images and then automatically adapts for you.
Basic Carl's Table.
A. Carl’s Table was designed to make you as
comfortable as possible for as long as your day
lasts. But more importantly, it was designed to
reduce the risk of musculoskeletal stress like
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and neck strain.
B. With Carl’s Table you can even completely
recline while looking at your monitors . . . perfect
for after lunch or late in the day. The main work
surface, monitors, lights and privacy panel can
be electrically tilted from 0° to 15°.
C, D. It’s vital to vary your position as much as
possible throughout the day. So Carl’s Table has
a motorized height adjustment from 28.5" to
48.5" so you can work sitting or standing with
just the touch of a button.
E, F, G. Carl’s Table’s integrated
lighting system makes it independent
of existing light in the room. It has a
sophisticated sensor on the control
panel that automatically increases
or dims the lights to maintain an
appropriate contrast ratio between
the image on the monitor and the
surrounding light. This dramatically
reduces eyestrain and fatigue. You
can also control the lighting yourself
by turning it to the manual setting.
H. A 28" tall panel shields you from
distractions behind and to the side of
your monitors so you can concentrate
better. Its curved shape and interior
fabric cover also absorbs sound and
reduces glare.
I. Carl’s Table is also ideal for non-medical
applications like video editing. In addition to all
the ergonomic comforts, Greg likes the ability

Coffee Surface
As a non-tilting surface, the
Coffee Surface is a great home
for things you don’t want tilting
with the rest of the table – like
coffee cups or telephones. It
can be mounted left or right.
CPU Holder
The CPU Holder keeps your hard
drive out of the way and off the
floor. And it can be mounted
left or right. An optional second
CPU holder can be added to the
opposite side.
Power Strips
There are nine power outlets
in the back for CPUs, monitors
and other equipment. In the
front there are four power
outlets that you can easily
access for equipment like
PDAs and cell phone chargers.
Task Lights
In addition to the back light,
there are two LED task lights
on flexible goosenecks that
can be moved to where you
need light the most.

Meet the Power Supply Cart, the Cart for retail, warehouse and inventory
management. It’s a mobile battery solution that gives your hand-held
scanners, printers and other equipment plenty of juice.
A. Charge your Power Supply Cart quickly. Roll the
Cart to your backroom or near an outlet and get
charged overnight. Draws up to 5 amps of power
from the outlet.
B. Marcus moves his label printer around the ware-
house with a Power Supply Cart. The shelves below

Rack System

Now that’s convenience!
Building Your Rack
Before you place an order, you’ll need
to identify the specific equipment,
by manufacturer, that will go in your
Rack System. If you are unfamiliar
with rack systems, here are some
simple steps in configuring ours:
Step One: The Basic Frame
You begin with the Basic Frame. First decide how many Units of rack you’ll need. Your rack
mountable equipment is measured in Units (a Rack Unit is 1.75" high). Figure out how many
Units of equipment you have. You also might want extra Units to grow. Add all those Units up,
and that will determine which Anthro Basic Frame to consider. Anthro offers 12 Unit, 16 Unit,
24 Unit and 36 Unit models.
Step Two: Adding Tapped Rails to the Front (Required)
Equipment is mounted to the Basic Frame using Tapped Rails. You attach the rails to the
Frame, and then your equipment is attached to the rails. The industry uses two standards of
rack mountable equipment: those that use threaded rail mounts which have standard 10-32
screw holes; and Dell/HP style mounts that have larger square holes instead of screw holes.
You can use both standards on an Anthro Rack System. Choose Tapped Rails that are specific
to your equipment from our accessory list starting on page 103.
Step Three: Choosing Tapped Rails for the Back
Some rack mountable equipment requires support in the rear. Anthro’s floating panels, which
come standard on the sides of the Basic Frame, mount on the front or the back of the frame
so that you can support equipment of different depths. Choose Tapped Rails for the rear of
your equipment from our Tapped Rail offerings. Some Anthro Rack accessories require back
Tapped Rails for sturdy mounting (see page 102).
Step Four: Add Accessories to Complete your Rack System

B. Keyboard Drawer 20"
Pull your keyboard out when you want to use it, hide it
away when you’re done. Slides on smooth ball bearing
glides. Can be assembled to fit 3" to 4" below your large
shelf surface so there is plenty of room for your knees. The
20" wide Drawer measures 20"w x 11"d x 3.5"h. Extends
10" out from the surface you are mounting it to. Shown

The height-adjustable, retractable caddy tilts 20° negative

handy kit. First, attach an adhesive-backed
buckle to one side of your equipment and
another to the shelf, then feed the included
strap through the buckles to secure. Kit

alcohol pads for cleaning equipment

I remember when Jared in our Customer Service department took a call from a cranky elderly woman who lived
in a remote part of California. She had just opened her new AnthroCart, and was unable to put it together. She
demanded that she be able to return it.
We knew she really wanted it, so Jared asked if she had any relatives we could call who could help walk her
through the assembly. The answer was no. Jared then called the local fire department in the hope they might
go out to help her. On hearing who the gal was, they immediately said no (small community, big reputation).
Finally, Jared contacted the local Boy Scout Troop to see if they wanted to give it a shot. They agreed,
and the story ended happily for all.
