Enter 4 Port FireWire to a computer through a PCI Express slot. The
4 ports FireWire 1394a PCI Express card allows you to convert a PCI
Express slot into four 6-pin 1394a ports, three external and one
internal, enabling you to connect portable drives, digital video
camcorders, etc.. to a desktop computer. The adapter card supports
hot-swapping, so you can connect, disconnect and exchange your
FireWire peripherals easily without stopping the normal operation of
the system.
