Care & Cleaning
• Beforeyouliftorrepositionyourmonitor,itisbettertodisconnectthecables
andpowercord.Followthecorrectliftingtechniqueswhenpositioningthe
monitor.Whenliftingorcarryingthemonitor,grasptheedgesofthemonitor.
Donotliftthedisplaybythestandorthecord.
• Cleaning.Turnyourmonitoroffandunplugthepowercord.Cleanthemonitor
surfacewithalint-free,non-abrasivecloth.Stubbornstainsmayberemoved
withaclothdampenedwithmildcleaner.
• Avoidusingacleanercontainingalcoholoracetone.Useacleanerintended
forusewiththeLCD.Neverspraycleanerdirectlyonthescreen,asitmaydrip
insidethemonitorandcauseanelectricshock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
• Thescreenmayickerduringtheinitialuseduetothenatureoftheuorescent
light.TurnoffthePowerSwitchandturnitonagaintomakesurethatthe
ickerdisappears.
• Youmayndslightlyunevenbrightnessonthescreendependingonthe
desktoppatternyouuse.
• Whenthesameimageisdisplayedforhours,anafterimageoftheprevious
screenmayremainafterswitchingtheimage.Thescreenwillrecoverslowlyor
youcanturnoffthePowerSwitchforhours.
• Whenthescreenbecomesblackorashes,orcannotworkanymore,contact
yourdealerorservicecentertoxit.Donotrepairthescreenbyyourself!

2.1 Assembling the monitor base
Toassemblethemonitorbase:
1. Havethefrontofthemonitorfacedownonatable.
2. Connectthebasewiththearmaccordingtothebelowdrawing.Aclickshows
thatthebasehasbeenconnectedsuccessfully.
Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent
damagetothemonitor.
2.2 Adjusting the monitor
Foroptimalviewing,werecommendthatyoulookatthefullfaceofthe
monitor,thenadjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.
Holdthestandtopreventthemonitorfromfallingwhenyouchangeitsangle.
Youcanadjustthemonitor’sanglefrom-5˚to20˚.
-5˚~20˚
Itisnormalthatthemonitorslightlyshakeswhileyouadjustthetheviewing
angle.

Todetachthearm/base:
1. Havethefrontofthemonitorfacedownonatable.
2. Removetherubbersinthefourscrewholes(Figure1).
3. Useascrewdrivertoremovethetwoscrewsonthearm(Figure1),thenslide
outthearm/basetodetachitfromthemonitor(Figure2).

To connect the audio cable:connectoneendoftheaudiocabletothe
monitor’sAudio-inport,theotherendtothecomputer'saudio-outport.
To connect the power cord:connectoneendofthepowercordsecurelyto
themonitor’sACinputport,theotherendtoapoweroutlet.
To connect the VGA/DVI/HDMI cable:
PlugtheVGA/DVI/HDMIconnectortotheLCDmonitor’sVGA/DVI/HDMI
port.
ConnecttheotherendoftheVGA/DVI/HDMIcabletoyourcomputer's
VGADVI/HDMI.
TightenthetwoscrewstosecuretheVGA/DVIconnector.
To use earphones:connecttheendwithplugtypetothemonitor’searphone
jack.
Whenthesecablesareconnected,youcanchoosethedesiredsignalfromthe
InputSelectitemoftheOSDfunctions.
2. Gatherallthecableswiththecablemanagementslot.
