BEFORE USING THE COOKTOP
These instructions are only valid for those
Countries where the destination abbreviations are
mentioned on the rear cover of the user
instructions and on the appliance.
Keep packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene
parts,etc) out of the reach of children as they are
potentiallydangerous.
Check whether the cooktop has been damaged
during transport.
Ensure that the installation and gas/
electrical connections are performed by a
qualified technician, following the
manufacturer's instructions and in
compliance with current local safety
regulations.
SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
1. Packing materials
All of the packing material can be recycled and is
marked with the recycling symbol that
identifies it as a type of material to be sent to local
waste-disposal centres.
1. Products
This appliance is marked according to the
European Directive 2002/96/EC, Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
By ensuring that this appliance is scrapped
suitably, you can help prevent potentially
damaging consequences for the environment
and health.
The symbol on the appliance or on the
accompanying documentation, indicates that
this product must not be treated as household
waste but should be delivered to a suitable
collection point for recycling electric and
electronic appliances. Disposal must be carried
out in accordance with local environmental
regulations for waste disposal.
For further information on the treatment,
recovery and recycling of this appliance,
contact your competent local authority, the
collection service for household waste or the
shop where you purchased the appliance.
PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL
RECOMMENDATIONS
NB: Accessible parts become very hot when
the appliance is in operation. Keep children
away from the appliance in order to avoid the
risk of scalding and burns.
Children and individuals with health
conditions should not be allowed to use the
appliance unsupervised.
Make sure that children do not play with the
appliance.
This appliance must not be used by persons
(children included) with a limited physical,
sensory or mental capacity or with inadequate
experience or expertise unless supervised or
provided with initial instructions regarding
use of the appliance by those that are
responsible for their safety.
Before any cleaning or maintenance
operation, disconnect the cooktop from
mains power supply.
The use of a gas appliance produces heat
and humidity in the room. Ensure that the
room is well ventilated, or install an
extractor hood with exhaust duct.
Prolonged use of the cooktop may
necessitate extra ventilation (opening a
window or increasing the extraction speed of
the hood).
Keep children away from the cooktop when
it is in use.
To get full satisfaction from your
cooktop, please read these instructions
carefully and keep them for future
consultation.

After use, ensure that the knobs are in the
off position and close the main gas supply
valve or the gas cylinder valve.
NB: the lid (where present) might break if
overheated. Before closing it, make sure
that all the burners are off.
Warning: The protective rubber feet beneath
the panstand grills can represent a choking
hazard for young children.
After the panstand grills have been cleaned
ensure that all of the rubber feet have been
repositioned correctly.
Declaration of Conformity
This cooktop has been designed,
constructed and marketed in compliance
with:
- the safety requirements contained in EEC
Directive “Gas” 90/369;
- Safety requirements of “Low voltage”
Directive 2006/95/EC (replacing 73/23/EEC
as amended);
- protection requirements of EEC Directive
“ECM” 89/336;
- requirements of EEC Directive 93/68.
This cooktop is suitable for contact with
food and complies with the regulation (EC)
n. 1935/2004.
This cooktop (Class 3) has been designed to
be used only for cooking. Any other use
(such as heating a room) is improper and
dangerous.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
The cooktop is equipped with burners and/or a hotplate with
different diameters. Use pots and pans with a bottom
diameter equal to that of the burners and hotplate, or slightly
larger.
Use flat bottomed pots and pans only.
The pans must not interfere with the control panel.
If possible, keep the container covered when cooking.
Cook vegetables, potatoes, etc. with a small amount of water
in order to cut down cooking time.
A pressure cooker allows you to save even more energy and
time.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Important: Do not use steam cleaners
Cleaning the cooktop surface, panstand grids and
control panel
Before cleaning the cooktop, disconnect it from mains
power supply and wait until it has cooled down.
Wipe with a cloth dampened with hot water and soap or
diluted liquid detergent.
Do not use abrasive or corrosive products, chlorine products
or steel wool.
Do not use steam cleaners.
Do not use flammable products.
Do not leave acid or alkaline substances, such as vinegar, salt
or lemon juice, etc., on the cooktop.
Stainless steel surface
Clean with a proprietary detergent.
Note: if the cooktop is used continuously, the high
temperatures produced by the flames may alter the
colour of the surface near the burners.
Cleaning the burners
1.
Raise the cap and remove it.
2.
Extract the burner from its housing by lifting it out.
3.
Soak the burner and the cap in hot water and liquid
detergent. (Do not wash in the dishwasher).
4.
Rinse and dry carefully.
5.
Ensure that none of its openings are clogged.
6.
Reposition the burner and cap.
Note: to avoid damaging the electric ignition device, do
not use it when the burners are not in their housing.
Cleaning the electric hotplate
The electric hotplate must be cleaned when it is slightly
warm to the touch.
Wipe with a cloth dampened with water and salt, and polish
using a cloth with a little oil.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. The burner fails to ignite
Is the main gas supply valve open?
Has the town gas (methane) supply been cut off?
Is the gas cylinder (liquid gas) empty?
Are the openings of the burner clogged?
Have the cap and the burner been correctly
positioned after cleaning?
(See the “Care and maintenance” paragraph.)
2. The burner fails to remain lit:
Repeat the ignition operation turning the knob to
the position with the small flame symbol.
3. The electric ignition device does not work
Is there a power failure?

Before you call the AfterSales Service
1.
Consult the “Troubleshooting Guide” above to
see if you can solve the problem yourself.
2.
Switch the cooktop back on again to check
whether correct operation has been restored.
3.
If the malfunction persists, call the After-Sales
Service.
Give the following information:
type of malfunction;
model of cooktop;
service number (i.e., the number that follows
the word SERVICE on the rating plate under
the cooktop and on the guarantee paper);
your complete address;
Your phone number and area code.
If any repairs are necessary please contact
an
authorised service centre
as indicated in the
warranty.
In the unlikely event that any work or repairs are
carried out by an
unauthorised technician,
always request a certification of work carried out
and insist on the use of
original spare parts
.
Failure to comply with these instructions may
compromise the safety and quality of the
product.

INSTALLATION
Electrical Connection
Electrical connections must be in conformity with local
regulations.
The data relevant to the voltage and power absorption are
indicated on the rating plate.
Regulations require that the appliance is earthed. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any injury
to persons or animals or damage to property resulting
from failure to observe the regulations indicated above.
An all-pole circuit breaker with a contact gap of at least
3mm must be provided at the time of installation.
If the power cable must be replaced, use a cable having
identical characteristics to that originally supplied by
the manufacturer and have it replaced by the After-
Sales Service or a qualified technician.
Gas connections
The gas supply system must be in conformity with the
local regulations in force (see chapter “Relevant National
regulations".
The connection to the mains gas network or cylinder must be
made by means of a rigid copper or steel pipe with relative
fittings complying with the local regulations, or by means of a
continuous surface stainless steel hose complying with the local
regulations. Insert gasket (
B
) in the elbow connection.
The maximum length of the hose is m. 2.
NB: If a stainless steel hose is used, it must be installed so
as not to touch any mobile part of the furniture. It must
pass through an area free of obstructions and the entire
length of the hose must be accessible for inspection.
ADJUSTMENT TO DIFFERENT TYPES OF
GAS
If a different type of gas from the one indicated on the rating
plate is used, the cooktop must be adjusted to it.

Please contact the After-Sales Service or a qualified
technician to have the gas nozzles changed .
Nozzles not supplied with the appliance must be ordered
from After-Sales Service.
2.
Connect the cooktop to the gas shut-off valve by means of a
pipe suitable for the type of gas used, in compliance with
current local regulations.
3.
Adjust the minimum setting of the taps.
Note:
With liquid gas G30/G31, fully tighten the minimum flame
screws.

Room ventilation regulations
Note: If If the appliance is not equipped with safety
deivces (thermocouples) on the burners, air vents
must be increased by 100% with a minimum of 200
cm
2
in conformity with the M.D. of April 21st 1993
Gas supply connections
Before connecting the appliance, ensure that the
supply system complies with standards UNI 7129
and UNI 7131.
Gas connection
When connecting the appliance to the mains gas
supply or gas cylinder, use a rigid copper or steel
pipe with relative fittings complying with standards
UNI 7129 or a continuous surface stainless steel
hose complying with UNI 9891. The maximum
length of metallic hoses is 2 m.
Nozzle replacement (see table on Product Card
attached)

Remove the panstand grids

Using a 7mm socket wrench (

), unscrew the nozzle to be
replaced.

Replace it with the nozzle suitable for the new type of gas.

Reassemble the nozzle in

After having unscrewed the two screws (

) and removed the

) replace both of the nozzles (

Replace the top (

) ensuring that the gasket is in good order
before switching on the cooktop.

Before installing the cooktop, remember to affix the gas
calibration plate supplied with the nozzles so that it covers
the existing information relating to calibration.
Adjusting minimum flame setting of taps
To check the correct minimum adjustment, remove the knob
(
E
) and proceed with the adjustments:
Tighten (-) to reduce the height of the flame.
Loosen (+) to increase the height of the flame.
Adjustments must be carried out with the tap in the minimum
small flame position.
