Attaching to a wall
[Note]
The wall or pillar on which the speakers are to be attached should be capable of supporting 10 kg (22 Ib.) per screw.
Consult a qualied building contractor when attaching the speakers to wall. Improper attachment may result in damage to the wall and
speakers.
When mounting the front and surround speakers to a wall, we recommend using a string (not included) to prevent it from a fall (below).
Use of optional speaker cables are recommended for wall mounted front speakers. (You can also remove the speaker cables from the pipes
supplied with this system).
Two screws are needed per speaker when attaching the speakers
to the wall.

Preventing the speakers from falling over
Preparation
Attach screw eyes (not included) to secure the speakers to a wall
(diagram on the right).
You will need to obtain the appropriate screw eyes to match the walls
and pillars to which the screw eyes are going to be fastened.
Consult a qualied housing contractor concerning the appropriate
procedure when attaching to a concrete wall or a surface that may not
have strong enough support. Improper attachment may result in damage
to the wall or speakers.

Preparation
Check to make sure the washer screws on the bottom of the front
speaker bases are not loose.
Place the front, center, and surround speakers at approximately
the same distance from the seating position.
The angles in the diagram are approximate.
Positioning for best effect
How you set up your speakers can affect the bass and the sound eld.
Note the following points.
Place speakers on at secure bases.
Placing speakers too close to oors, walls, and corners can result in
excessive bass. Cover walls and windows with a thick curtain.
[Note]
The left and right speaker pairs are the same with respect to the front
and surround speakers. Place each of the speakers in accordance with
the stickers you just attached.
Before moving the main unit, ensure the disc tray is empty.
Failure to do so will risk severely damaging the disc and the main unit.
Subwoofer
Place to the right or left of the television
on the oor so that it won’t cause
vibration.
Leave 10 cm (4q) at the rear for
ventilation.

If irregular coloring occurs on your television
The supplied speakers are designed to be used close to a television,
but the picture may be affected with some televisions and setup
combinations.
If this occurs, turn the television off for about 30 minutes.

Notes on speaker use
You can damage your speakers and shorten their useful life if you play
sound at high levels over extended periods.
Reduce the volume in the following cases to avoid damage.
–When playing distorted sound.
When the speakers are receiving howling from a record player, noise
from FM broadcasts, or continuous signals from an oscillator, test disc,
or electronic instrument.
–When adjusting the sound quality.
–When turning the unit on or off.
Do not stand on the base and shake the speaker. Be cautious when
children are near.
Be sure to connect only positive (copper) wires to positive (i) terminals and negative (silver) wires to negative
