Velocity
PCI network interface
card (3C339 NIC). This information was not available
when the user guide supplied with the NIC was printed.
For the latest information about the 3C339 NIC, read
the README.TXT file on the
TokenDisk
®
diskette
supplied with the product.
Error in User Guide
Chapter 3 of the user guide states incorrectly that the
3C3X9.LAN driver can be used with NetWare 3.11 servers.
This driver conforms to the Novell ODI 3.3 specification;
therefore, it cannot be used with NetWare 3.11.
For details on this driver, see the next section,
“NetWare Server/Client 32 Driver.”
NetWare Server/Client 32 Driver
If you are using the 3C3X9.LAN driver with NetWare 3.12
servers, you need to apply the following software patches,
which are available from the Novell Web site,
www.novell.com:
LANDR9
312PTA.EXE
The \CLIENT32 directory on
TokenDisk
diskette #2 contains
a driver and files needed for Client 32 installations. The
CLIENT32.TXT text file located in the same directory
describes how to install Client 32 in DOS or
Windows 3.1 systems.

Windows NT Driver in Multiprocessor Systems
A directory on
TokenDisk
diskette #2 contains files
required for Windows NT driver installation in
multiprocessor systems.
If you are installing the Windows NT driver in a
multiprocessor system, enter the following path
when the installation procedure prompts for the
path to the driver:
a:/ntmp
Power Management in DEC PCs
If you are installing the 3C339 NIC in DEC PCs, you must
disable power management. For details on disabling
power management, see your PC documentation.
