This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory of mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
The surfaces of this appliance does get hot. You should consider
guarding when young children, the old or infirm are present.
In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
The appliance should be placed on a firm surface.
Do not place the power cable on top of this appliance when it is hot.
Do not install the appliance close to curtains or other combustible materials.
The appliance should be positioned so that the plug is accessible to the user.
If the flex is too short for a particular installation (the entire length and plug) should
be replaced by a competent electrician. A 13 amp fuse conforming to BS 1362 must
always be used.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
This Appliance must be earthed.

Always have the mains cable replaced if it becomes
damaged.
Do not drape anything over the appliance for drying.
Do not push anything into the appliance.
Do not cover or obstruct any of the inlets or outlets.
Do not use aerosol sprays near the appliance.
Do not operate this appliance with wet hands or allow anything wet near to it.
Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
This heater is designed to be installed using a standard 13 Amp plug. A qualified
electrician is not required.
The appliance is supplied fitted with a 2 metre cable and normalized 13 amp plug which
correspond to the load indicated on the data plate.
Before inserting the plug into an electrical outlet, (check carefully) to be certain that the
voltage indicated on the appliance, socket and main feed are of a size sufficient to power
this appliance.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is designed for space heating using a Convected Air and radiant principle
to convect warm air throughout the room.
This appliance has been designed to conform to BS EN 60335-1:2012 & BS EN 60335-2-
30:2009 +A11:2012.
This appliance is intended for domestic premises only.
This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
Once connected to the mains and switched on at the socket, the Vector is controlled via
the energy regulating control knob located on the top.

The LED lighting system will illuminate as the heater control is activated.
On initial firing, paint fumes may be apparent from the appliance.
Please ensure that the room is ventilated until all traces of fumes have
cleared.

CLEANING
Disconnect the heater from the mains and allow it to cool, before cleaning.
Use a light brush or lint free cloth to clean the appliance. Do not get the
appliance wet, or use aerosol sprays near it.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
If no part of the appliance works:
Check that it is connected to the mains supply.
Check if the socket is functioning by trying a different appliance or socket tester
in it.
If the appliance has overheated for any reason the thermal cut-off switches
inside the appliance may have tripped. To reset, unplug the heater and allow it
to cool down, before replacing the plug.
Check the fuse has not blown by replacing it with a new 13 amp fuse (repeated
fuse failure may indicate a more serious fault seek expert advice).
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR YOURSELF
There are no user serviceable parts inside the heater.
Refer to a qualified electrician or contact Esse Engineering Ltd.
At the end of the products life it should be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations.

GUARANTEE
CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE
Your ESSE is guaranteed against defects arising from faulty manufacture for 2 years when
supplied by an ESSE Specialist.
Upon registration of the warranty, ESSE will extend the guarantee period to 5 years from
purchase. Your details must be registered with us by either returning the completed
warranty card or by completing registration on-line at www.esse.com.
The appliance must be only used for normal domestic purposes and in accordance with
our instructions, be correctly installed and serviced. The warranty must be registered
within 1 month of installation to qualify for the 5 year warranty.
The guarantee does not cover:
Installation
Wear and tear
Parts deemed to be replaceable or service parts including electrical components that may
be replaced during the normal usage of the appliance.
This guarantee is personal to the original purchaser and not transferable.
Any stove or defective part replaced shall become the Company’s property
HOW TO PROCEED WITH A COMPLAINT
If you have cause for dissatisfaction with your stove, you should first contact your ESSE
dealer, who will bring your concerns to our attention. We will assess the nature of the
complaint and either send replacement parts for your dealer to fit, or arrange for an ESSE
engineer to inspect the appliance and carry out any work that may be deemed necessary.
If the fault is not actually due to faulty manufacture but some other cause i.e. misuse, or
failure to install correctly, a charge will be made to cover the cost of the visit and any new
parts required.
