Note per lo smaltimento del prodotto valide per la Comunità Europea
Non smaltire il prodotto come riuto solido urbano ma smaltirlo negli appositi centri di raccolta.
E’ possibile smaltire il prodotto direttamente dal distributore dietro l’acquisto di uno nuovo, equivalente a
quello da smaltire. Abbandonando il prodotto nell’ambiente si potrebbero creare gravi danni all’ambiente stesso.
Nel caso il prodotto contenga delle batterie è necessario rimuoverle prima di procedere allo smaltimento.
Queste ultime debbono essere smaltite separatamente in altri contenitori in quanto contenenti sostanze altamente
tossiche.
Il simbolo rappresentato in gura rappresenta il bidone dei riuti urbani ed è tassativamente vietato riporre
l’apparecchio in questi contenitori.
L’immissione sul mercato dopo il 1° luglio 2006 di prodotti non conformi al DLgs 151 del 25-07-05 (Direttiva

Notes for the product waste disposal worthy for the european community
Don’t dispose the product as a solid urban waste but into the appropriate collecting facility.
It is possible disposing the product as waste by returning it back to the distributor and purchasing a new
product equivalent to the one returned. Abandoning waste products into the ambient may cause serious
environmental damages.
In case the product is battery fuelled, it is necessary to take the batteries off and dispose them as a waste in a
separate and appropriate container because they are highly toxic.
The symbol represents an urban trash-bin and it is seriously forbidden putting electrical appliances in these
containers.
The outlet on the market, from July 1 2006, of products not responding to the L.D. 151 of 25/07/2005 (RoHS
RAEE directive) is subject to administrative sanctions.

N’écouler pas le produit comme ordure solide urbaine mais l’écouler dans les sites spéciaux pour la récolte.
Il est possible écouler le produit directement chez le distributeur lors de l’achat d’un nouveau produit similaire
à celui à écouler. Abandonner le produit dans l’habitat peut causer des seriaux dommages au même habitat.
Dans le cas le produit contiens des batteries, il est nécessaire les enlever avant de proceder à l’écoulement.
Les batteries doivent être écoulées séparément dans autres récipients spéciaux puisque elles contennent des
composants hautement poullantes. Le symbole représenté en gure représente la boîte à ordures urbains.
Il est formellement interdit de jeter l’appareil dans ces conteneurs.
L’introduction sur le marché des produits pas conformes au DLgs 151 du 25.07.05 (Directive RoHS RAEE) après
le 1 Juillet 2006 est sanctionnée administrativement.

Preparazione all’uso
1. Inserite 3 pile AAA 1.5V nell’apparecchio. Quando inserite le pile prestate attenzione alla polarità delle stesse
altrimenti potreste danneggiare l’apparecchio. L’estremità piatta della pila (di polarità negativa -) deve essere a
contatto con la molla più grande. L’estremità della pila (di polarità positiva +) deve essere a contatto con la molla
più piccola. In alternativa alle pile potete utilizzare un cavo di alimentazione 12 V DC (non incluso) oppure
l'alimentatore da auto (richiedibile presso i centri assistenza autorizzati G3 Ferrari) e collegarlo all'apparecchio.
Rimuovete le pile dalla sede prima di collegarlo alla rete elettrica o all'accendisigari dell'auto.
2. Per assicurare un risultato sempre preciso nel tempo non sofate fumo o gas all’interno dell’etilometro.
Fumo e gas potrebbero alterare i risultati delle prove successive rendendo l’apparecchio inutile.
Tenete l’apparecchio lontano da tutti i liquidi e dopo ogni uso sistematelo in un luogo asciutto e lontano dalle fonti
di calore.
3. Prima di effettuare il test, per non contaminare il sensore, attendere almeno 15 minuti dopo l'ultima assunzione
di alcool o dopo avere fumato.
Modo d’uso
Inserite una delle cannucce protettive salva igiene sull'apposita imboccatura.
Premete l’interruttore di accensione; si accende il display ed un breve segnale acustico indica l’inizio del conto alla
rovescia che consente al sensore di precisione di riscaldarsi. Il conto alla rovescia è molto rapido se all'interno dell'eti-
lometro non sono presenti residui di alcool rimasti dal precedente utilizzo. Il segnale "Wait" è acceso; attendere la ne
del conto alla rovescia al termine del quale sentirete un nuovo segnale acustico, verrà mostrata sul display la scritta
"Blow" (sofare) e una "C" che vi invita a sofare nell’apposita imboccatura posta a lato dell'apparecchio.
Prendete ato e sofate no a quando non sentirete un segnale acustico che indica la ne del test.
Durante l'elaborazione del risultato sul display verranno visualizzati "- - -" e la scritta Test.
In pochi secondi sul display apparirà la scritta "Result" ed il risultato del test.
Se il vostro tasso alcolico supera il valore di 0.01 g/L l’etilometro vi avviserà con uno speciale segnale acustico e
verranno visualizzati sul display un'icona di un'automobile con il divieto e la scritta "Hi" (alto)
Se il vostro tasso alcolico è inferiore a 0.01 g/L verrà visualizzata sul display l'icona dell'automobile senza divieto
Il risultato resterà visualizzato sul display per circa 10 secondi, dopo di che l’etilometro si spegnerà automaticamente.
Generalmente il valore più corretto è quello misurato trascorsi 15 minuti dopo l'ultima assunzione di alcool.
Successivamente il valore tenderà a variare a seconda di vari fattori tra cui: costituzione sica, alimentazione,
concentrazione alcolica della bevanda, ecc...
Se volete effettuare un nuovo test aspettate 15 minuti (così che il sensore possa stabilizzarsi) e seguite di nuovo le
istruzioni sopra elencate.
Note
• Per evitare guasti all’etilometro o errori di misurazione evitate forti urti.
• Dopo ogni uso riponetelo al sicuro in un luogo asciutto e lontano da fonti di calore.
• Non pulite l’etilometro con alcol, solventi o sostanze che sprigionano gas in quanto i risultati del test potrebbe
esserne inuenzati.
• Se dopo un lungo periodo di non utilizzo l’etilometro segna dei valori non verosimili, sostituite le batterie ed
effettuate vari cicli di prova con aria pulita per ripristinarne la funzionalità.
• Con l’uso, il trascorrere del tempo o per impropria conservazione dell’utente (cadute, umidità, escursione
termiche, ecc..) le prestazioni del sensore potrebbero degradare riducendone la sua sensibilità.
In tal caso può essere contattata la nostra sede per richiedere un preventivo per il ripristino delle prestazioni.
Questo tipo di intervento non potrà essere effettuato in garanzia in quanto il sensore è materiale di consumo
deperibile.
• Rimuovere sempre le batterie se prevedete di non utilizzare l’apparecchio per un lungo periodo di tempo.
• Non lasciare l’apparecchio esposto ad agenti atmosferici quali pioggia, vento, neve, grandine ecc.
• Quando sul display viene visualizzata una pila signica che lo stato di carica delle batterie sta per esaurirsi.
Sostituirle.
• Nella confezione sono presenti 5 cannucce protettive salva igiene da inserire sull'imboccatura.
Le cannucce possono essere richieste presso i centri assistenza autorizzati G3 Ferrari.
• Se il display segnala FFF potrebbe esserci un problema nel sensore di rilevazione. Se il prodotto è in garanzia
seguite le istruzioni riportate in fondo al manuale di istruzioni in caso contrario contattate la nostra sede
per richiedere un preventivo per il ripristino delle funzioni.
Reminding Before your testing
Drinkontrol tester should be used only to give an indication of the possible presence of alcohol in the breath/blood.
You should not rely upon it as the sole basis to determine intoxication or whether it is safe to drive a vehicle, operate
equipment, or engage in dangerous activities. Everyone has different body responds to alcohol consumption and his
testing result only as reference, not a subject standard for consequent decision. The manufacture, importer or distri-
butor takes no responsibility whatsoever for the use of this product for any reason. This product must not be used as
a tool for determining whether a person is able to operate a motor vehicle or device legally or safely. The intake of any
alcohol will impair reexes and judgment to operate motor vehicle.Advanced NM Hot-wire alcohol sensor; quick re-

This manual is an integral part of the product, it should therefore be kept in an easily accessible and familiar place and
consulted when in doubt.
Our product has been projected respecting the scientic metrology based on the physical - mathematical
principals, regularly recognized by the International Organization of Legal Metrology, but insufcient to satisfy the
formal requirements of the Legal Metrology itself. For this reason the results of this appliance cannot be used as
proves to be presented to Public Ofcials.

Power: 3×AAA batteries or 12V DC (not included) or with 12V power cord with car cigarette lighter adapter
(not included) on sale by G3 FERRARI’s authorized service shops.
The sensor warns the user of the various values exceeding 0.01 g/L.
G3 Ferrari is favourable to the total safety and suggests to drive in case alcohol tester results are different than 0.00.
Before Operation
1. Slide down to open the battery compartment, insert the batteries (3xAAA) and close it carefully, please note the
correct polarity direction in the battery compartment, otherwise, you may damage the unit.
Instead of using cells, you can connect the alcohol testers to the main with 12V DC power cords (not included)
or a power cord with car cigarette lighter adapter (this last can be found by G3 FERRARI’s authorized service
shops). Take off cells before connecting the alcohol tester to the main socket or to the car cigarette lighter.
2. To ensure an accurate testing result. Do not blow smoke or noise gas to gas entry. Keep the unit away from all
liquids and store in a safe environment. If noise gas exists, the normal testing would be disturbed.
3. To ensure the testing result, please wait 10 mins to take the testing after your alcohol drinking or smoking.
Operation
The Drinkontrol alcohol tester can be for quick detection of alcohol in the breath.
Press the "switch" button, the display will be turned on and a buzzer brief ringing can be heard, the display blinks
"Wait" and the warm-up countdown begins. Wait till the end of the warm-up countdown when you hear a brief ringing
signal; the display shows "Blow" and a blinking "C" invites you to blow into the appropriate side spout. Inspire deeply
then blow into the "Gas Entry" hose till a long acoustic signal is heard which indicates the end of the test. The display
will show for 4 seconds "- - -" and the word "Test". In a few seconds the display will show "Result" and the readout
of test result. If your alcoholic rate exceeds 0.01 g/L the alcohol tester will warn you besides with a special acoustic
signal, on the display it will be showed the symbol of a car, the symbol of "forbidden" and "Hi" which stands for
"high level".
If the alcohol rate in your blood is inferior to 0.01 g/L, the symbol of the car will be showed
The result of the test will be showed on the display for 10 seconds, after which the alcohol tester will turn off
automatically. If a new testing is needed, please wait for further 10 seconds (in order to let the sensor reset) then
repeat the above instructions. When the display show the symbol of a battery, it means that the battery charge is
exhausting. If the display shows "FFF" it is necessary you submit the alcohol tester to the nearest G3 FERRARI repair
centre for control/repair.
Due to usage, time passing and incorrect conservation of the appliance (accidental falls, humidity, temperature
ranges, etc…) the performances of the sensor could degrade and reduce its sensibility.
In that case, it is recommended to contact our ofces and ask for a fee for the restoration of the performances.
