Group 1, from 9kg to 18 kg (from approximately 9 months to 4 years).
For Group 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years), go to the section
“fitting the car seat with using the adult seat belt only”.
Important! Before installing the car seat check that the buckle of the adult seat belt is not
positioned so that it reaches under the armrest of the car seat. If this is the case, try another
seat or contact our customer service department for advice.
Before fitting your car seat in the vehicle, first check the harness is set to the size of your
child. To do this refer to “Harness Setting and Adjustment”. Check that the headrest is in
the lowest position. See “adjusting the headrest”.
Harness Tension Adjusting
Tighten the harness: Pull firmly on the loose end strap below the adjuster on the shoulder
strap; it is not necessary to press on the adjuster lock (10).
Loosen the harness: Press on the adjuster button on the lower edge shoulder strap adjuster
and pull on the lower shoulder strap simultaneously (11).
The headrest can be moved up or down through a series of stop positions. To do this hold
firmly on the top of the backrest and pull or push on the headrest until it moves into the
required stop position to suit the size of your child.
Adjusting the Headrest
The seat can be used for the younger child 9 months to 4 years securing the child with the
harness, or for the older child 3 years to 12 years securing the child with the adult seat belt.
Note that your car seat is designed to fit only with a 3 point lap and diagonal seat belt and
must not at any time be fitted using only a 2 point lap belt (1).
Installation of your Car Seat
Fitting the Car Seat when using the Harness Group 1
To remove the shoulder strap pass the metal plate on the back of the seat through the
window from back to front (6) (7). Reverse this process to refit the shoulder strap in the next
slot selected for the size of your child (8). Ensure the metal plate is through fully and lays flat
against the seat back (9).
The harness shoulder straps can fit into any one of three sets of slots in the seat back and
they must be passed through the slots over your child’s shoulders.
If your child’s shoulders are between two pairs of slots, always use the first available slots
level with or above the shoulder. Remove the height reduction cushion (J) if you find the
child’s shoulders are above the highest set of slots in the seat back.
To restore harness to the seat for Group1, Check the harness for any damage or deterioration.
Refer to the section “Harness setting and adjustment” also “Removing the Harness” and
follow the directions to set and fit the harness. If in doubt contact the manufacture for advice
or replacement.
