General Safety Instructions
Keep these instructions with the car seat in case you need to refer to them again in the
future. Failure to follow these instructions may affect your child’s safety
Your car seat must be positioned and installed so that, under normal vehicle usage conditions,
no part can become jammed under or between any moveable seat or in the vehicle door.
Always replace the car seat after any accident, in case of any unseen damage.
Do not modify or add to your car seat in any way without the approval of a competent
authority or the manufacturer, as this will void any warranty.
Shade your car seat from sunlight to avoid hot items causing injury to your child.
Do not leave your child unattended while in the car seat and in the vehicle.
Make sure there is no loose luggage or other large objects that are likely to cause injuries
in the event of an accident. These may cause injury to other occupants.
Always secure loose items.
Do not use the car seat without the seat cover.
Do not replace the seat cover with any cover other than the one recommended by the
manufacturer, as it directly influences the safety performance of the car seat.
Always ensure that the vehicle adult seat belt is fastened once your seat is installed.
Secure your car seat with the vehicle seat belt at all times, even when your child is not in
the car seat. An unsecured car seat can cause injuries in the event of a collision.
Always check that there is no food debris or other such matter in the harness buckle.
This may affect the correct function of the buckle.
During cold winter conditions take care that any change of clothing has not reduced the
tension and effectiveness of the car seat harness.
If you are in any doubt about any part of the installation or proper use of your car seat,
please contact the manufacturer of the car seat..

Group 1, from 9kg to 18 kg (from approximately 9 months to 4 years).
For Group 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years), go to the section
“fitting the car seat with using the adult seat belt only”.
Important! Before installing the car seat check that the buckle of the adult seat belt is not
positioned so that it reaches under the armrest of the car seat. If this is the case, try another
seat or contact our customer service department for advice.
Before fitting your car seat in the vehicle, first check the harness is set to the size of your
child. To do this refer to “Harness Setting and Adjustment”. Check that the headrest is in
the lowest position. See “adjusting the headrest”.
Harness Tension Adjusting
Tighten the harness: Pull firmly on the loose end strap below the adjuster on the shoulder
strap; it is not necessary to press on the adjuster lock (10).
Loosen the harness: Press on the adjuster button on the lower edge shoulder strap adjuster
and pull on the lower shoulder strap simultaneously (11).
The headrest can be moved up or down through a series of stop positions. To do this hold
firmly on the top of the backrest and pull or push on the headrest until it moves into the
required stop position to suit the size of your child.
Adjusting the Headrest
The seat can be used for the younger child 9 months to 4 years securing the child with the
harness, or for the older child 3 years to 12 years securing the child with the adult seat belt.
Note that your car seat is designed to fit only with a 3 point lap and diagonal seat belt and
must not at any time be fitted using only a 2 point lap belt (1).
Installation of your Car Seat
Fitting the Car Seat when using the Harness Group 1
To remove the shoulder strap pass the metal plate on the back of the seat through the
window from back to front (6) (7). Reverse this process to refit the shoulder strap in the next
slot selected for the size of your child (8). Ensure the metal plate is through fully and lays flat
against the seat back (9).
The harness shoulder straps can fit into any one of three sets of slots in the seat back and
they must be passed through the slots over your child’s shoulders.
If your child’s shoulders are between two pairs of slots, always use the first available slots
level with or above the shoulder. Remove the height reduction cushion (J) if you find the
child’s shoulders are above the highest set of slots in the seat back.
To restore harness to the seat for Group1, Check the harness for any damage or deterioration.
Refer to the section “Harness setting and adjustment” also “Removing the Harness” and
follow the directions to set and fit the harness. If in doubt contact the manufacture for advice

Now you are ready to fit the car seat in the vehicle.
Place the car seat against the backrest of the vehicle seat (12) facing forwards and in the
direction of travel.
Check the vehicle seat headrest position and that it does not obstruct the car seat. If this
should be the case then adjust or remove the vehicle headrest.
Before fitting the adult seat belt familiarize yourself with the routing and features required to
fit the seat belt properly. You will find windows (N) in the car seat backrest indicated with
red arrows.
The diagonal portion of the seat belt also uses the red seat belt guides (D) found on the
front of the backrest side wings.
Now extract the adult seat belt as much as possible. Holding the seat belt connector tongue,
divide the adult seat belt and pass the lap section under the armrest of the car seat with the
diagonal section of the adult belt going up the front of the backrest, passing between the
headrest and over the top of the backrest side wing (13).
Pass the adult belt connector tongue through the window in the backrest from front to back.
Then pass the seat belt behind and across the backrest and through the window on the
opposite side (14).
Pass the connector tongue of the seat belt through the window from back to front (14).
Before connecting to the seat belt buckle, divide the lap section from the diagonal section so
the lap section can pass under the armrest and the diagonal section over the armrest and
engage it with the red belt guide (D) on the side wing (15).
Note that this only applies on the adult belt buckle side of the car seat.
Now check the belt for twists along its path and take out any slack by pulling first the lap
section and then on the diagonal section. Check the seat feels secure and stable (16).
Ensure the head rest does not obstruct the child’s shoulders.
Also make sure that the top of the child’s head does not exceed the top of the headrest.
Open the harness buckle by pressing firmly on the red button in the centre of the buckle.
Spread apart the shoulder straps to enable the child to be installed.
Install your child in the car seat, ensuring that they are seated upright against the backrest.
Pass the child’s arm through each of the shoulder straps whilst bringing together the
connectors, align them together and insert into the buckle until you hear a click (17).
Check that the lap section and shoulder section are not twisted and the connectors can fit
together correctly before inserting the connectors into the buckle. If the connectors will
not reach the buckle then release the harness tension by pressing the adjuster lock buttons
located on each shoulder strap and by pulling on the lower part of the shoulder straps.

Group. 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years).
Fitting the Car Seat when using the Adult Seat Belt Only Group 2-3
Important! Before installing the car seat check that the buckle of the adult seat belt is not
positioned so that it reaches under the armrest of the car seat. If this is the case, try another
seat or contact our customer service department for advice.
Before installing the car seat in the vehicle, first remove the harness from the car seat.
Refer to the section “removing the harness”. Raise the headrest to its highest position.
Your car seat is fitted with an adjustable headrest that has been designed to support your
child throughout growth by providing maximum lateral head protection. Never remove the
backrest of your car seat.
The headrest can be moved up or down through a series of stop positions. To do this hold
firmly on the top of the backrest and pull or push on the headrest until it moves into the
required stop position to suit the size of your child.
Place the car seat against the backrest of the vehicle seat (22).
Check that the headrest of the vehicle seat does not obstruct the car seat. If this should be
the case then adjust or remove the vehicle headrest.
With your child sitting upright and back in the seat, extract the adult seat belt and pass it
across the front of the child.
Installation of your Car Seat
Adjusting the Headrest
Securing the Car Seat and your Child
Check the head rest is fitted in its lower position.
Check the car seat is facing forwards in the vehicle and in the direction of travel (12).
Check the seat belt is fitted correctly using the adult seat belt (13) (14) (15) (16).
Check the vehicle seat belt is not twisted and tight around your car seat.
Is the harness set correctly and to the correct shoulder height (6) (7) (8) (9).
Ensure the harness straps are not twisted.
Check the harness is set for the clothing and not loose (10).
Check the harness is secure with the buckle and shoulder strap connectors latched
together and harness tension is correct (17) (18).
Once connected then pull on the tension straps (I) until the harness is snug to the child’s
body and that no more than two fingers can be passed behind the shoulder straps and the

Locate the upper portion of the diagonal section of the adult belt into the belt guide (M)
found on the underside of the headrest side wings (23). Pass the lap section of the adult
belt over the child’s lap and under the armrest on both sides of the seat. Ensure the lap belt
is low down on the child’s lap and firmly engaging with the pelvis. Connect the adult belt
connector tongue to the seat belt buckle (24).
Ensure that on the buckle side both the lap and diagonal sections of the adult seat belt pass
under the armrest (24). Now adjust the headrest so that the diagonal belt section passes
over the shoulder midway between the neck and the end of the shoulder. The headrest belt
guide should be near level with the child’s shoulder (25) (26). To remove your child from
the car seat, simply unbuckle the seat belt and place it at the side of the car seat.
The belt will remain suspended from the headrest belt guide.
However safe a child seat is, however well built it is, your child’s safety depends on you
carrying out the following checks before every journey.
Final Checklist
A cup holder is provided and can be secured to the side of the seat base behind the armrest.
A fixing point is accessible through a small opening in the cover (30).

then raise the back up vertically (37) as the tabs insert into the openings.
When raising the backrest to vertical, ensure that no parts of the harness, cover, etc can be
trapped between the backrest and the seat base.
Once the back rest is fully vertical, pull the backrest forward whilst at the same time pressing
firmly downwards by pushing on the top of the backrest until you hear and feel a click, make
sure the tabs are full inserted into the openings and the back rest feels secure and stable (38).
Dismantle the harness before beginning operations to remove the cover (see ‘removing the
