NOTICE
This is a “Universal” child restraint. It is approved to
Regulation No. 44, 04 series of amendments, for
general use in vehicles and it will fit most, but not all,
car seats.
A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has
declared in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is
capable of accepting a “Universal” child restraint for
this age group.
The child restraint has been classified as a “Universal
under more stringent conditions than those which
applied to earlier designs which do not carry this notice.
If in doubt, consult wither the child restraint
manufacturer or the retailer.
Only suitable if the approved vehicles are fitted with 3
point safety belts, approved to UN/ECE Regulation No.
16 or other equivalent standards.

WARNING
IMPORTANT! Please read all instructions in this
manual and in the vehicle owner’s manual related
to child safety seats carefully and understand them.
Install and use the child safety seat as described
in the instruction manual. Failure to do this could
result in serious injury or death of your child. Keep
the instruction manual with the child safety seat for
future use.
DO NOT modify the child safety seat in any way.
DO NOT take apart or attempt to take apart the
child safety seat except as instructed in this manual.
DO NOT use the child safety seat with damaged or
missing parts.
DO NOT use damaged or frayed harness straps or
vehicle belt.
NEVER use this child safety seat without the car
seat cover.
DO NOT replace the child seat cover or harness
with any other than what is recommended by the
manufacturer as these parts are integral to the child
safety seat’s performance.
NEVER use this child restraint with any other base
except ones that the manufacturer permits.
DO NOT use a child safety seat that has been in a

crash. A crash can cause unseen damage to the
child safety seat.
DO NOT use a second-hand child seat or child seat
whose history you do not know.
ALWAYS check the tightness of the restraint and
the harness before each use.
ALWAYS make sure all vehicle belts and harness
straps are not twisted before each use.
NEVER leave the child in the child seat when the
harness straps are loose or undone.
NEVER leave your child unattended.
DO NOT leave your child in this restraint for an
extended period of time.
DO NOT use this child seat in seating
positions where an active frontal airbag
installed. Death or serious injury can occur.
ALWAYS install the child safety seat in a rear-facing
position.
The rigid items and plastic parts car seat must be
locate and install the car seat so that it is not liable
to become trapped by a moveable seat or in a door
of the vehicle.
NEVER use the child safety seat with a shopping
cart.

DO NOT use on the vehicle seats that face the
sides or rear of the vehicle (1a, 1b). Use the child
safety seat only on the vehicle seats that face
forward. According to accident statistics, children
are safer when properly restrained in the rear
seating positions than in the front seating positions
(1c, 1d).
NEVER use this child safety seat with 2 point vehicle
belts.
DO NOT use in any configuration not shown in the
instructions.
DO NOT use alternative routings not shown in
these instructions.
MAKE sure that the child safety seat does not
become trapped by folding or moveable passenger
seat or in the door of your car.
MAKE sure all folding passenger seats are properly
latched.
DO make sure to properly secure any loose objects,
such as luggage or books, in your car as they may

cause injuries in the event of an crash.
This child restraint should be securely belted in the
vehicle even when not in use. In a crash or sudden
stop, an unsecured child safety seat may injure
other occupants.
DO NOT allow children to play with or adjust the
child safety seat.
ALWAYS make sure the handle is properly locked
in the upright carrying position before carrying a
child in the child seat.
NEVER take a child out of the child safety seat
when the vehicle is moving.
HOT! Cover the child safety seat when left in direct
sunlight. Parts of a child safety seat may become
too hot for the childs skin. Always check surfaces
before placing a child in the child seat. Seat cover

1 There are 4 positions:
A - In vehicle/carry position
B/C - Middle positions
D - Stationary position
2 To adjust, squeeze handle release buttons on
both sides, then rotate the handle. The handle
will lock into position.
3 You should hear a click when the handle
button is engaged and handle is locked into
the upright carrying position.
WARNING:Always make sure the handle
is securely locked in the upright carrying
position before carrying.

4 Adjust the shoulder straps height so they
are level with, or just below, the childs
shoulders.
5 To adjust the height of the shoulder straps,
remove the straps from the splitter plate
located in the rear of the seat.

6 Pull both straps through the shell and seat
cover.
7 Thread the harness straps through the
proper harness slot. Make sure both straps
are even and not twisted. From the rear of
the seat, secure the harness strap onto the
splitter plate. Pull to make sure the harness
straps are firmly secured onto the splitter
plate.
The crotch strap adjusts to 2 positions to fit the
childs size. Only move crotch strap position to
outer position when the child weighs more than
7 kg.
8 To move crotch strap, locate the metal plate
attached to crotch strap under the child
restraint. Rotate the metal plate and push it
through the shell and seat cover.
9 Locate the appropriate crotch strap slot and
insert the metal plate and crotch strap through
seat cover and shell. Pull on harness buckle to
make sure crotch strap is securely installed.

10 Press the adjuster button on the front center
of the seat and pull on both shoulder straps
to loosen the harness.
11 Press the red button on the buckle to release
the shoulder straps and move them to the
side.
12 Place child in seat with childs bottom on base
and back flat against the back of the seat.
Slide shoulder straps over childs shoulders.
Make sure harness is at or below top of
childs shoulders.

13 Align the top and bottom buckle tongues to
form one tongue.
14 Insert into the buckle until you hear a click.
Make sure the shoulder straps are not twisted.
Adjust the shoulder pads over center of childs
shoulders.

15 Pull harness adjustment strap until shoulder
straps are tight against the child.
16 For proper tightness, one finger should fit
between the harness straps and the childs
shoulders.

WARNING
DO NOT route the vehicle belt using any
other path when using this child seat.
DO NOT use 2 point vehicle belt to
install this child seat.
ONLY install this child restraint rear-facing
on forward-facing vehicle seats.
17 Place the child restraint rear-facing on the
vehicle seat and make sure the handle is in
specified position. The child will face the rear
of the vehicle.
18 Insert into the buckle until you hear a click.
Make sure the vehicle seat belt and the buckle
are in line with each other. Contact the Baby
Jogger if in doubt about this point.
19 Route the vehicle shoulder belt around the
back of the child restraint and through the
shoulder belt guide.
Note: If vehicle shoulder belt is too short, move
vehicle seat as far back as possible and
lower the seat belt height. If the vehicle belt
is still too short, try another seating position.

20 Pull on shoulder portion toward the retractor
while pressing down on the center of the
carrier to tighten carrier to vehicle seat.
Note: Check to make sure carrier tight. Grab the
sides of the seat and slide the carrier side to
side and front to back. If the carrier moves
less than 1.5 cm, it is tight enough.

21 On the side of the canopy, pull the tab and
detach the canopy frame.
22 Remove the seat cover by lifting around the
side edges and pulling o from the front foot
area.

pad in the groove in the seat.
Periodically inspect your child seat for worn or
damaged parts. If damaged parts are found,
replace the child seat. Keep the child seat

The fabric parts can be cleaned according to
the instructions on the washing label.

CLEANING THE BUCKLE
Food, drink, or other debris may collect inside
the harness buckle which can aect proper
function. Wash in warm water until clean. Be
sure you can hear an audible click to make
sure the buckle is working properly.
CLEANING THE HARNESS AND SHELL
Sponge clean using warm water and mild soap.
Do not use any other cleaning agents.
STORAGE
Store in a safe, dry place and away from heat
and direct sunlight. Avoid placing heavy objects
on top of the seat.
