Installation de l'unité
CAUTION: before any intervention on the system and
before handling any intern component, cut the power of the
main circuit-breaker.
Read attentively this manual before starting the installation
The unit is in conformity with the Low Voltage
Directive (CEE/73/23) and electromagnetic
compatibility (CEE/89/336).
Confide the installation to a qualified installer.
The maintenance must be made only by qualified
personnel.
Respect safety requirements of national
standards. In particular, check that you dispose of
a connection on the ground with an adequate size.
Check that the tension and the frequency of the
power supply is like the ones necessary at the unit
which will be installed.
Eventually, take into account of others devices
connected up at the same electric circuit.
Make sure that the safety requirements of national
standards have been respected over the power
supply circuit
Use this unit only as a part of registered
applications: they do not have to be used in a
laundry room or any other local with steam
ironing.
It should be avoiding the use of Heaters in an
atmosphere that contains oil vapors or corrosive.
Do not install or use damaged devices.
The manufacturer declines any responsibility for
damage caused by the modification or mistake in
electric connections or hydraulic connections.
Failing to follow the electric security rules can
cause a risk of fire in the case of an electric short.
In case of an unusual functioning, turn off the unit,
remove the electricity supply and contact
specialized personnel.
Unless particular conditions, Aircalo gives one
year parts warranty against defects in conception
or production. Are excluded defects of installation
and use and also wearing parts and environment
condition which damage the smooth functioning of
the device that would have not be specified in the
order.
Failing to follow the manufacturer instructions
concerning the installation or the use of the unit in
conditions that exceed functioning limits indicated
in this manual can lead to the loss of the unit
warranty.

Check the conformity of goods delivered
according to the order. Read and control the
instructions given by the identification plate.
In the case of shortages or damages, it must be
done reserves on the delivery coupon of the
transporter. Then, confirm this with a registered
letter over 48 hours.
Storage the equipment in a clean, dry place,
protected from shocks, vibration and temperature
fluctuation and at a relative humidity level of less
than 90%. The period of storage should not
exceed 1 year.
Proceed with the unpacking of the device using
the protections of accident prevention which are
required. Recycle packaging in accordance with
local laws regarding waste.
It is recommended to bring the unit as close as
possible to its definitive location before to unpack
it.
Choice of the place
Avoid the following locations:
Exposure to sunbeam
Areas close by sources of heat.
Humid locations and places where water may
penetrate into the unit.
Places where curtains or furniture can disturb a
good circulation of the air.
Location advised:
A place without obstacle that can cause an
unequal distribution or return of the air.
Consider a location where the installation will be
easier.
Allow required clearances.
Look for a place into the room that will guarantee
a good distribution of the air.
Caution
• Do not set the unit near source of heat able to damage it.
• Regarding Armagnac electrical heaters facilities located in
buildings with a fire sprinkler network, it is up to the installer
to adjust the air distribution sluices so that the air jet of the
heater does not disturb the water jets of the sprinklers
(speed of heater airflow shall complies with applicable
APSAD regulations : 5m/s at 0.5 m from outlet).
INSTALLATION
PRESENTATION
SPARE PARTS
Electrical heaters « ARMAGNAC » are delivered ready for installation with a 3 phases 400V
power supply (For single phase 230V power supply an order for special unit must be placed).
As standard supply, these units are delivered with :
- Single phase fan motor 230V – 1000 RPM
- Armed electrical coil 1000 and/or 2000 W
- Power relay
- Safety thermostat (Limit)
- Automatic thermostat
- Timer thermostat
- On/Off switch and « On » light indicator
- Connection terminal
Then these units are « Plug and Play » type.
IMPORTANT
Regulation and fan motor are single phase 230V energized, consequently neutral must be
supplied in the alimentation cable.
Check that the electrical supply comply with electrical heater nominal power. Connect the
supply cable to the connection terminal.
Your electrical heater Armagnac is ready for use.
The electrical heater should not be fitted too high on the wall in order to keep a certain hot air
influence over the area to be treated. Electrical heaters Armagnac have front adjustable
louvers.
Adjust the louvers according to the height of the installation and the area to be treated.
For the same power need, the comfort (hot air repartition) will be better by using numerous
units (ex. for 96 KW need, 8 units 12KW are more comfortable than 4 units 24KW).
ARMAGNAC 1
From 6 to 12 kW – only one heating pace as standard.
Optional ARMAGNAC 1 power 9 and 12 kW can be supplied with 2
heating paces : 9 kW = 6 + 3 kW
12 kW = 6 + 6 kW
When delivered with 2 heating paces option, the electrical connection
must be done similar to the ARMAGNAC 2 wiring diagram.
ARMAGNAC 2
From 15 to 24 kW – only two heating paces as standard :
15 kW = 9 + 6 kW
18 kW = 12 + 6 kW
21 kW = 12 + 9 kW
24 kW = 12 + 12 kW
In any case of parts replacement, please use the spare list attached. Use only parts
delivered by the manufacturer.

ARRANTY
If the user wants to use a distance thermostat located in the treated area, for comfort, then
the electrical connection of this thermostat must be done on the white terminal delivered
inside the unit in this aim.
For ARMAGNAC 1 : connect the ambient thermostat (1 pace) on terminal marks 2 et
5 and take off the shunt.
For ARMAGNAC 2 : connect the ambient thermostat (1 pace) on terminal marks 2 et
7 and take off the shunt.
If the ambient thermostat is a 2 paces type, the first pace must be connected on terminal
marks 2 and 7 and the second pace must be connected on the terminal marks 5 and 6.
In any case of ambient thermostat use, the automatic thermostat on board (frontal) must be
settled at maximum temperature.
ARMAGNAC 1 - 1 pace :
Switch « ON » and then fit the temperature with the button on the front board. The electrical
heater will then self-operate.
ARMAGNAC 1 - 2 paces and ARMAGNAC 2 :
Switch « ON » and then fit the temperature with the button on the front board. The electrical
heater will then self-operate; according to the need, the pace 1 or 2 must be manually
activated with the pace switch located on the front board
CAUTION
A timer thermostat prevent the fan actuation in order to avoid cold air blowing at when the
unit start
1 - The electrical coil is supplied but the fan remains switch off.
2 - As soon as the electrical coil is warm enough, the timer thermostat switch on the
fan.
When the regulation cut off, the opposite effect occurs, the timer thermostat keep switched
on the fan until the electrical coil is cold enough (post ventilation for safety reason).
IMPORTANT
Never use ducts connected to these electrical units. The only use must be free recycling
ambient air.
The fan pressure is not compatible for any accessory or filter.
(Optional) Wall bracket allow a quick wall installation and an optimum adjustment of the
warm air flow.
The wall bracket can be adjusted horizontally and vertically.
These units have a guaranty on the different parts for a period of 12 months following the
delivery date. Any environment not specified before delivery and harmful for the correct use
of the unit will cancel the guaranty benefits.
Motors are not guaranteed against a bad connection or ineffective electrical protection.
