why should you clean your wheels

• depending on environmental conditions

and frequency of use - a wheels’

lubrication can dry up

• wheels without the proper lubrication

can create more friction in exercises

• having your wheels well maintained will

insure that you work out just as intended

These instructions will show

you how to disassemble, clean

and apply new grease to the

four guide wheels found on

the bottom of your Reformer

Carriage.

• (1) 5/32 Allen Key

• (1) small amount of Lithium Grease

• (1) small Wire Brush

• (1) rag

step 1 removing carriage

• unhook springs from bar connecting to

Reformer Carriage

• move handles and straps from

Carriage

• lift Carriage up and away from

Reformer frame

step 2 set up work station

• place Carriage from Reformer top face

down onto a at clean surface

• make sure you have all items needed

• identify which wheels are the four

guide wheels to work on

the four guide wheels to

identify and maintain.

step 3 removing the guide wheels

• take the 5/32 Allen Key and place it in

the top of the shoulder bolt located on

the center point of the wheel

• unscrew the shoulder bolt and remove

the wheel assembly

• repeat this step for all for wheels on

the carriage

• after removing all four wheels, wipe

clean with the rag the 4 black blocks

that the wheels attach to

• you will nd that each wheel has a

large washer, small spring washer and a

shoulder bolt

• do not lose any of these parts because

you will need them to assemble the

carriage later

step 4 wiping assembly clean

• after removing all four wheels, wipe

them clean with the rag along with the 4

black blocks that the wheels attach to

• then take the rag and wipe off all the

grease from the wheels, large washers,

small spring washers, and shoulder bolts

step 5 applying the lithium grease

• once all the parts are clean. Take

the small wire brush and place it in the

lithium grease and apply it to the center

of the wheel

• when you insert the Wire Brush move

your hand in a circular motion to apply

the grease all around

step 6 reassembling guide wheels

• after applying the grease to the wheel

place the large washer over the center

of the wheel, then take the small spring

washer and place it on top of the large

washer. When both washers are in

place, put the shoulder bolt through the

two washers and wheel

• repeat this step for all four wheels

• next place the complete wheel

assembly back on top of the black box

and hand tighten the shoulder bolt to the

black box

• then take the 5/32 allen key and

tighten the shoulder bolts to the frame

• apply this to all four assemblies
