Caution on the removable storage
Use the optional removable storages for recording and playback on the R-1000.
Information about added and discontinued options is available at the following Roland
website.
http://www.rolandsystemsgroup.net/
It is necessary to re-format the removable storage that has been formatted on a device
other than R-1000 (like Edirol F-1) prior to recording. When the removable storage that
requires re-formatting is inserted, the [REMOVABLE STORAGE is not formatted] message
appears. Touch [Format] on the screen to execute re-formatting.
While recording or playback, the [ACCESS] lamp next to the REMOVABLE STORAGE bay
flashes.
When you remove the removable storage, make sure the [ACCESS] lamp is
dark.
Removing the device while the [ACCESS] lamp is flashing can cause corruption of
recording data.
Caution on the external storage
If you connect or disconnect a USB cable for the external storage during recording or
playback, it can cause corruption of recording data in the removable storage.
When you
connect or disconnect the external storage, make sure the recording or playback is
stopped and the [ACCESS] lamp is dark.
If the power consumption of the device connected to the EXTERNAL STORAGE connector
exceeds the maximum capability (2.5 W) of the R-1000’s USB bus power supply, the
message of [Cannot operate the EXTERNAL STORAGE. It exceeds the power capability.]
appears. In this case, connect the external storage to the R-1000 using the USB cable that
comes with optional removable storage and ordinary available USB AC adaptor as below.
Caution on cables
If you disconnect any cables connected to the R-1000 unit prior to complete stop of
recording or playback, it can cause corruption of recording data. It also stops the monitor
output.
When you disconnect any cables from the R-1000 unit, make sure the
recording or playback is stopped and the [ACCESS] lamp is dark.
