#5 Filler Kit, Wooden Support (Vented

Installation only)

• Hardware Package

6) #10 - 1 1/4" Wood Screws

* Extra hardware may be included

Tools required:

• Power Screwdriver with #2 Phillips Bit

If any wood pieces are missing or dam-

aged, contact the dealer where you

purchased this mantel for replacement. If

WARNING: Only use 1¼"

screws to assemble mantel. Dam-

age to mantel will result if other

screws are used for this purpose.

For use with (V)DVF36TPN Direct Vent Series

FGPN and FBPS Vent Free Fireboxes Only

VENT FREE INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: More than one

person is required for lifting

rebox and mantel pieces.

Use the following illustrations to assemble

mantel. Use only screws provided.

1. Thoroughlyreviewreboxowner's

manual for installation require-

ments, clearances and firebox

planning.

2. Place mantel base in predetermined

location. Back of mantel base will be

ushwiththewall.

3. Center firebox over base before

lowering. Use caution to avoid

scratching mantel base.

4. Attach rebox to wall studs using

nails or wood screws through holes

innailingange.

5. Placemanteltopontorebox.Back

ofmanteltopwillbeushwiththe

wall. Center top left to right on

rebox.

NOTE: Filler kit and screws included

with mantel will not be used in vent free

installations.

DIRECT VENT INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: Mantel installa-

tion must be completed during

framing and venting of replace.

1. Thoroughlyreviewreplaceowner's

manual before installing mantel and

replace.

2. Place mantel base close to instal-

lation location. See Pre-Installation

Preparation in fireplace owner's

manual to determine proper location

ofreplace.

3. Position mantel on top of mantel

base, placing fireplace towards

front of mantel base to allow for ap-

proximately½''gapatrearofbase.

IMPORTANT: Use caution when

positionreplace.Basemayscratch

easily.

NOTE: Two or more people are

required for lifting replace and

mantel pieces.

4. Assemble llerkit.Attach wooden

supporttollerkitsidesusingsup-

plied #10 screws through pre-drilled

holes. See Figure 2, page 4.

5. Place ller kit assembly onto rear

base as shown in Figure 2, page 4.

Kitwillbeushwithbackofbase.

Attach assembly to base using #10

screws through pre-drilled holes

6. Place mantel top onto fireplace.

Backofmanteltopwillbeushwith

backofllerkit.

7. Attachmanteltoptollerkitusing

two #10 screws through pre-drilled

45° holes as shown in Figure 2,

page 4.

8. Ventreplaceaccordingtoreplace

owner'smanual.

Note: Dimensions called out in

manual will vary due to height of

mantel base

9. Install gas line. See Gas Line Hook-

upinreplaceowner'smanual

NOTE: If any wood pieces are missing or
