INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
MoonRing OnePointFive
MR1.5 | Suspended, Ceiling
When installing or using this xtures basic safety precautions must be
followed. Read all instructions before installing xture. Always follow
applicable building codes when installing any light xture. Due to product
variations and congurations, these instructions serve only as a general guide. Refer to
factory provided submittals for details.
This xture is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electric Code
and Local and State Codes and must be installed by a licensed electrical contractor.
• Do not install this xture in damp locations.
• Do not install less than four (4) inches from the ceiling (not including ceiling mount).
• This xture is for installation in non insulated ceilings only.
• To prevent electrical shock, turn off electricity at fuse box before installing the xture.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
A1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker before
proceeding.
A2. Remove remote driver enclosure, lenses and
suspension kit parts from the packaging and set
aside for next steps.
A3. Install remote driver enclosure and connect
building power using U.L. approved conduit, ttings,
and wire connectors. Make connections to house
AC conduit as shown in the wire diagrams on the
submittal drawing. If using J-Box (by others), run
wiring from the remote driver box to the J-Box.
The J-Box mounted to the structure must be rated
for 50lbs or more. The suspension bullets can be
mounted on ceiling by means of toggle screws or
all-threads (by installer).
A4. Install remaining cable suspension hardware to
the surface using mounting cordinates specied on
the submittal drawings. (also see draw 4 on the next
page)
A5. While supporting the xture, lift the entire xture
up to the suspension cables and insert cables into
cable grippers. The cable grippers will automatically
hold the inserted cable. Re-adjust the suspension
cable as specied at the cable gripper to shorten
and level the xture. IMPORTANT: cut excess
suspension cable slack at the gripper after adjusted
to the desired height.
A6. Feed the power cord through the nial on the
canopy near the J-Box. Connect and complete
wiring per submittal drawings referring to labels on
the wires. If there are multiple power cords, connect
them to the respective driver box per the labels
attached to cords and drivers.
A7. Push the excess wire into J-Box and secure
the canopy with the nial. Do not pinch the wires
between the canopy rim, ceiling surface, or J-Box
surface.
A8. Turn on power. (continued on next page)

B5.
A10.A9. Install the downlight lenses (white with rabbets)
by inserting them inside the xture in such a way
that the rabbets overlap.
A10. Install the uplight lenses, if the uplight option
was selected for the xture, by screwing them on
the suspension brackets with the provided 6-32
screws.

Join two sections
B1 to B4. Follow Steps A1 to A4. NOTE: There are
no CAS, CCS or ceiling mount option available for
multi-section rings.
B5. Join the two sections together by screwing the
connector bracket and securing it between the
sections with the two 8-32 x 1-1/8” screws and lock
nuts (provided). The sections should be properly
aligned at the joint for stability and to avoid light
leak.
B6. Connect all of the sections of the ring together
as in step B-5. Each of these sections receives
power from a power cable drop at the center of
the section, and is electrically separate from other
sections.
B7. After all the sections have been assembled,
proceed with suspension as per steps A5 to A10 for
standard suspensions.

C1 to C3. Follow steps A1 to A3.
C4. Install the round wedge plate onto the J-Box
with #8 screws, nuts and washers (by G.C.). The
J-Box mounts to the structure and must be rated for
50lbs or more.
C5. For CAS and CCS, the canopy and the collar
ring is pre-installed on the ring at the factory.
While Supporting the xture, lift the entire xture
up to the J-Box, connect and complete wiring per
wiring diagrams in the submittal drawings. If there
are multiple power cords, connect them to the
respective driver box per the labels attached to
cords and drivers.
C6. Push the excess wires inside the J-Box and
secure the canopy on the wedge plate by
tightening the set screws along the outer rim of the
canopy around the wedge plate. Do not pinch
wires between the J-Box, canopy, or the ceiling
surface.
C7. Readjust the suspension cables as specied at
the gripper to shorten and level the xture. Cut the
excess suspension cable slack at the gripper after
adjusting the xture to desired height,
C8. Turn on power.
C9. Install lenses per steps A9 and A10.

D1 to D3. Follow Steps A1 to A3.
D4. The three cleat boss assemblies must be
mounted to the ceiling per submittal drawing
cordinates. Pre-drill 5/8” holes in the ceiling at the
mounting positions. All cleat bosses can be installed
either with a 1/4-20 all thread, a 1/4-20 toggle
bolt, or a 1/4-20 screw with blocking (all mounting
hardware by installer).
D5. One of the cleat bosses will have a power
feed. Make another 5/8” hole two inches from one
of the boss holes for the wiring in a way that it is
not visible after the xture is installed. The power
feed cleat boss will be installed with the wire cover
plate, while the other two non-power feed bosses
will be installed with a washer (0.5” ID, 0.05 - 0.069”
thickness).
D6. Hold the xture close to the ceiling and align the
ceiling mount brackets to the xture with the cleat
bosses on the ceiling. The position of the ceiling
mount brackets can be located by the location tab
stuck on them. Pass the xture power cable through
the grommet on the cover plate and connect it
to remote driver boxes in the ceiling per submittal
wiring diagram and labeling on each wire.
D7. Insert the retaining pins so they ‘click’ into place
around the boss and sit in the gap between the
mount bracket and the collar of the boss. Do not
pinch the wires during this process.
D8. You may rotate the pin around to hide it.
D9. Install the bottom lenses per step A-9.

E1. If Enlighted Remote Sensors are included with
the xture, they connect with a 30' wire connected
to the driver box.
E2. The sensors can be mounted in the ceiling by
threading the spring arms around the sensor and
inserting them through a 15/16” hole. These sensors
may be unplugged for mounting purposes and re-
plugged after installation.
F1. For Emergency Circuit specied xtures, a part
of the xture’s downlight lamping is powered by the
driver designated to be connected to the house
emergency circuit.
F2. The labels on the driver boxes indicate which
driver is on the designated emergency circuit.

G1. For EMB is specications, one of the driver boxes
will house an emergency driver with a built-in battery
backup and will be indicated by the labeling on the
driver box. This EMB driver powers one portion of the
xture in case of power loss.
G2. See wire labels and wiring diagrams on submittal
drawings for connections.
INSTALLATION CONNECTION POINT
ATTENTION: Do not mate unit connector until
installation is complete and AC power is Supplied.
1. Test accessory leads-observe proper polarity
wiring.
2. No polarity on WHT/BLK leads. Use either Lead
for connection to building common (Switched or
unswitched) and other for connection to AC driver.
3. Connect unswitched power. If a single building
common is present, connect the white wire to the
common. If a separate unswitched conductor feed
is present, connect the white lead to the common
from the unswitched feed.
4. Mate unit connector after installation is complete
and AC power is supplied.
