14. INFORMATION FOR THE
CORRECT DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL
AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES
At the end of its working life, the
product must not be disposed
of as urban waste. It must be
taken to a special local authority
differentiated waste collection
centre or to a dealer providing this
service. Disposing of a household
appliance separately avoids possible negative
consequences for the environment and health
deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables
the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain
significant savings in energy and resources.
To remind you that you must collaborate with a
selective collection scheme, the symbol shown
appears on the product warning you not to
dispose of it in traditional refuse containers.
For further information, contact your local authority
or the shop where you bought the product.
11. UPRIGHT STEAM
The upright steam function allows you
to use your iron as a clothes steamer.
Suggestion: For upright steam, hang the
items on a coat hanger for better results.

sufficiently.
Keep the iron in an upright position at
a distance of approximately 15 to 20
centimetres from the fabric.
Press the extra steam button (5) at 5-
second intervals as you move the iron
over the creased area.
WARNING: Do not steam garments being
worn, as there is a danger of burns.
12. ANTI-DRIP SYSTEM
The anti-drip system comes into operation
when the iron is too cold to iron, preventing
water from leaking out of the sole. The
anti-drip system allows you to iron delicate
garments at low temperatures without
having to worry about marks caused by
drops of water. When this function comes
into operation it is likely that the iron will
make a few crackling sounds.
13. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the iron and wait until it cools down
before cleaning it.
Clean the outside and the sole of the iron with a
damp cloth. Do not use detergents or abrasive
products to clean it. In order to prevent the sole
from being scratched, avoid ironing hook and
eye fasteners, zips, metal buttons, etc.
After each use, empty the tank and allow the
iron to cool down before removing it.
Do not immerse the iron in water or run it
under the tap.
