4.0 Trouble shooting (continued)
Warning: For Troubleshooting make sure Air Tractor is in a safe work area
Air Tractor only works in one direction
Check that unit has proper air supply.
Check all fittings and lines for leaks.
Check for clogging.
Check for defective regulator.
Make sure flow controls are open, try again.
If above checks pass
1. Disconnect lines 105 and 106 (see Figure 2) from either the motor or control valve.
2. Operate pendant control. Check to see which line is not getting air.
3. Reconnect the line that is working.
4. If line 105 is not working, check to make sure the pilot of the valve is working.
4a. If the pilot line 103 has air coming out when pendant control is operated and the valve is not shift-
ing, replace valve.
4b. If no air is coming out of line 103, check to make sure there is no crimped line going to or from
pendant control. Check pendant Control (Figure 3).
5. If line 106 is not working, check to make sure the pilot of the valve is working
5a. If the pilot line 102 has air coming out when pendant control is operated and the valve is not shift-
ing, replace valve.
5b. If no air is coming out of line 102, check to make sure there is no crimped line going to or from
pendant control. Check pendant Control.
Checking Pendant Control (Figure 3)
1. Remove lines 102 and 103 from Pendant. Operate the pendant control, air should come out of the
corresponding ports when the pendant control is operated.
2. If no air is coming out of the ports, remove line 1 from the pendant control.
3a. If no air is coming out of line 1, check for crimps.
3b. If air is coming out of line 1, pendant control is not operating. Check for clogs or malfunction.
