Evaporatordosenotfrosteven
thoughmotor-compressorruns
continually.
This defectisindicatedbythe
presenceofwateroutside
refrigeratornearthe motorcaused
byformationsof ice onthe return
tube.
This defectisindicatedby the partial
frostingof the evaporatorand by
continualdefrostingcycles
determinedbythe interruptionofthe
flow ofgas onthe evaporator.The
motorcompressorkeeps running.
Poorperformanceofthe refrigerant
systemwhichisindicated:onthe
evaporatorwith aslightfrostwhich
dosenot freezeand an excessive
overheatingof the condenserand
motor-compressor.
Becauseof the lackof circulation
Freoninthe system,thereis no
frostingof the evaporator,while a
slightoverheatingofthe first spiral
of the condenseris noted.
Thesystem dosenotwork andthe
"clixson"intervenesinterrupting
deliveryto the motor-compressor.
Nofrostformson the evaporator
evenif the motor-compressoris
apparentlyrunningregulary.
Incaseof mechanicalfailurein the
motor-compressorthere in an
excessivenoisewhen the systemis
functioning:in caseasuspension
springis unhooked,bangingwill be
heardandtherewill be especially
strong vibrationswhen the system
startsup and stops.
An emptyrefrigerantsystem
indicatesa leakageof R_2.This loss
is generallyto be lookedfor at the
solderingpointsconnectingthe
variouscomponentsor inan
eventualhole in the evaporator
made bythe user.
Ifin the refrigerantsystema quantity
of R_2is introducedwhich isgreater
thanthat indicated,the excessgas
dosenet terminateits expansionin
the evaporatorbut proceedsintothe
returntube.
The refrigerantsystemis humid
when thereis asmall percentageof
waterpresentwhich,notcompletely
retainedbythe dehydratorfilter,
enters intocirculationwiththe Freen
andfreezes atthe capillaryexitin
the evaporator.
There isair in a refrigeratingsystem
when duringthe filling phase
vacuum isnot effectedor it is not
adequatelydone.
Eventualimpuritiescontainedinthe
Freonor inthe componentsof the
refrigerationsystembefore
assemblyand not retainedbythe
filter canobstructthe capillary.
Incaseof shortcircuit,the
breakdownis dueto the electric
winding:if blocked,there isa
mechanicalfailurein the motor-
compressor.
Inthiscasethere is amechanical
failure inthe diaphramvalveswhich:
remainingcontinuallyopen, do not
permit the pistonto suckand
compressorthe which
consequentelydosenotcirculatein
the system.
The causeof the excessivenoiseis
normallyto be soughtfor in a
mechanicalbreakdown,and only
rarely inthe unhookingofone of the
suspensionsprings.
Leakagemustbe eliminatedby
resolderingthedefectivepoint or
substitutingthe damaged
evaporator.
Thesystemmust be emptiedand
