Proson PA-150 is a versatile amplifier with a wide range of applications, both for HiFi and Home Theatre setups. It can be used as a subwoofer amplifier, a full-range amplifier, or in a bi-wiring configuration.

As a subwoofer amplifier, the PA-150 can be connected to a receiver using either RCA cables or speaker cables. It features a low-pass filter that can be adjusted to match the crossover frequency of your subwoofer.

Volume
The volume-knob controls how much power the amplifier will give
through the ”Speaker Output”. The normal level is about half.
Crossover
This knob controls the crossover. It works only when the amplifier is in
”Low Pass”-mode. The normal level is about half or less.
Cleaning
When you clean the amplifier, use a moist cloth. Be sure that the
power is turned Off.
Low Pass - Full
Choose between using the amplifier as a full range amplifier or a
sub amplifier.
Fuse
If you play to loud to long, or you connect something wrong the
fuse might brake. One extra fuse is enclosed and is easy to change.
You can find the fuse beneath ”Fuse” on the backside.

This amplifier has a wide field of application, we describe the most com-
mon ways to use it.
Using the amplifier as a subwoofer amplifier in Bi-Wiring:
1. Make sure that the amplifier is turned off.
2. Remove the metal tin-plates that are placed on the terminal on the
speaker.
3. Tweeter/midrange terminal is connected to the receiver.
4. Use a speaker cable to connect the tweeter/midrange terminal on
the speaker to “Speaker Level Input” L and R on the amplifier.
5. Use a speaker cable between the bass terminal on the speaker to
“Speaker Output” on the amplifier.
6. Make sure that the phase is correct, that you have connected + to
+ and – to -.
7. Turn on the amplifier and the receiver.
Using the amplifier as a subwoofer amplifier:
(Using a RCA cable)
1. Make sure that the amplifier and the receiver is turned off.
2. Use a RCA-cable from “Sub Out” on the receiver to “Line In” on the
amplifier.
3. Connect the subwoofer to “Speaker Output” on the amplifier.
4. Make sure that the switch is turned to “Low Pass”.
5. Make sure that the phase is correct, that you have connected + to
+ and – to -.
6. Turn on the amplifier and the receiver.
(Using speaker cables)
1. Make sure that the amplifier and the receiver is turned off.
2. Connect a speaker cable to Speaker Output on the receiver, R
(Right) to “Speaker Level Input R” on the amplifier.
3. Connect a speaker cable to Speaker Output on the receiver,
L(Left) to “Speaker Level Input L) on the amplifier.
4. Connect the subwoofer to “Speaker Output” on the amplifier.
5. Make sure that the switch on the amplifier is turned to “Low Pass”.
6. Make sure that the phase is correct, that you have connected + to
+ and – to -.
7. Turn on the amplifier and the receiver.
Use the amplifier as a full register amplifier
(Using RCA cables)
1. Make sure that the amplifier and the receiver is turned off.
2. Connect a RCA cable from “Pre Out” on the receiver to “Line In”
on the amplifier.
3. Connect a speaker cable from “Speaker Output” on the amplifier
to the speaker.
4. Make sure that the switch is turned to “Full”
5. Make sure that the phase is correct, that you have connected +
to + and – to -.
6. Turn on the amplifier and the receiver.
(Using speaker cables)
1. Make sure that the amplifier and the receiver is turned off.
2. Connect a speaker cable from Speaker Output Left and Right on
the receiver to “Speaker Level input R/L” on the amplifier.
3. Connect a speaker cable from “Speaker Output” on the amplifier
to the speaker.
4. Make sure that the switch is turned to “Full”
5. Make sure that the phase is correct, that you have connected +
to + and – to -.
6. Turn on the amplifier and the receiver
