Thank you for purchasing the Canon Voice

Operation Kit. Please read this manual

thoroughly before operating the Voice Operation

Kit to familiarize yourself with its capabilities, and

to make the most of its many functions. After

reading this manual, store it in a safe place for

future reference.

The Voice Operation Kit enables users of an

imageRUNNER ADVANCE (hereinafter referred

to as "the machine") to hear voice navigation

instructions when operating the machine. The

Voice Operation Kit also includes a voice

recognition function, which enables you to set the

various functions of the machine using your own

voice.

The following items are also included with this

product. Please use them, if necessary.

■Voice Operation Kit User's Guide (CD-ROM)

Includes a text-only manual for users who are

visually impaired, and who use a screen reader.

A PDF ﬁle of this manual for users who want to

view this manual on their computer using Adobe

Acrobat Reader, is also included on this

CD-ROM.

sizes displayed in inches, unless otherwise

stated.

Note that functions that cannot be used

depending on the model or options, are not

displayed on the touch panel display.

[Direct] may be displayed as [1:1], depending

on the region in which you live.

The keys which you should press are marked

with a , as shown below.

When multiple keys can be pressed on the

touch panel display, all keys are marked.

Select the keys which suit your needs.

If you ﬁnd it difﬁcult to read what is on the

touch panel display, reverse the display

colors. The resulting display will have white

text on a black background. For instructions

on reversing the display colors, see

"Reversing the Contrast of the Touch Panel

Display," on p. 1-25.
