  • Hello! I have reviewed the user manual for setting up motion recording on your DVR. This document provides detailed instructions on configuring the settings for both record configurations and motion detection. I'm here to assist you with any questions you may have regarding these setup procedures.
  • How does the DVR record by default?
What two menu settings need to be adjusted for motion recording?
Where can I find the Record Configuration settings?
Where can I find the Motion Detection settings?
How to set Motion Recording
DVR Records continuously by default and when hard drive is full, it will overwrite. To set only motion
recording, there are two menu settings that need to be adjusted: Record configurations and Motion detection
settings.
1. Access "Main Menu" >> Record >> Record Conf.
First choose the channel, for which these settings will apply. You can apply these settings either for All
channels or if it is only for specific channels (ex, 3, 5, 7), the settings will need to adjust for each channel
individually. After selecting the channel, uncheck the box under “Regular”, and leave “Detect” and “Alarm”
checked. Click “OK” to apply.
2. Access "Main Menu" >> Alarm >> Motion Detect
First choose the specific channel (or all channels, if settings apply to all cameras), for which these settings will
apply. You can apply it either for All channels or if it is only for specific channels (ex, 3, 5, 7), the settings will
need to adjust for each channel individually. After selecting the channel, check enable box to enable motion
detection. Make sure under “Record channel” only that specific channel is selected (highlighted in white). Click
OK to apply. See below image:
