INSTALLATION STEPS
TOOLS REQUIRED:

1. Remove the 6 nut and 2 bolts that attach the grill assembly to the hood(Fig 1)with a 10mm nut driver. Lower
the hood
2. There are 5 hidden metal clips under the top edge of the grill that need to be released in order to remove the
assembly(Fig 2). Starting at either end, place one hand at the top of the grill and simultaneously pull up and
out 45° angle.(Note: there are 6 styles of grill for this vehicle, most will allow you to place your hand through
the grill at the top for better leverage.) While simultaneously pulling UP and Out at a 45° angle use your
other hand with our palm facing up to strike the bottom of the grill and pop the clip free.
3. Repeat this process on the opposite side of the grill. After the 2 outer clips have been released repeat the
process for the inner 2 clips and finally the center clip(Seeing fig 3 for the location of clips).Once the 5 clips
have been released the grill assembly can be removed and set aside.
4. Locate the slotted holes on the outer edges on the underside of the hood and install 4 plastic grommet nuts
from the hardware pack into the holes.

5. (5)Peel back 1”of the red backing from the adhesive strip on the hood protector and leave hanging. Hold the
Hood Protector to the hood and take note of where the adhesive will contact the hood. Clean the area with
the alcohol pad provided in the hardware pack.
6. (6)Using screws with washers, attach the Hood Protector to the hood into the holes with the grommet
nuts(Fig4).Check to see that the Hood Protector is centered on the hood, loosen screws and re-center if
necessary.
7. (7)Adhere the center of the Hood Protector to the hood by grasping the hanging red backing on the
adhesive strip and removing it from the adhesive. Apply firm pressure to set into place.
8. (8)Re-install the grill by lining up the 5 tabs with clips to the corresponding slots in the hood. Once the grill is
in place push downward on the top of the grill assembly to lock the clip into place.
9. (9)Raise the hood and re-install the 6 nuts and 2 blots that attach the grill assembly to the hood

FAQ’s
1. Mounting Bracket are not getting Installed properly.
In some cases Illustration images shown in Installation manual may not be the exactly same as per actual vehicle images ,also if Driver /
Passenger side mounting brackets are very identical in the design, suggest referring Parts Identification guide to avoid fitment issue.
2. Products are thumping / rattling after installation.
Please ensure that all required mounting brackets / hardware’s are installed & tighten correctly. Suggest using white lithium / regular
grease between the metal to metal contact surfaces.
3. Missing / Excess Hardware.
Recheck hardware count as per the part list.
4. Product not installing properly.
Ensure make model year, cab length and bed size of your vehicle is listed in the application. All installation steps are followed correctly.
