IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Read this instruction booklet carefully before operation.
The appliance may only be used in households. It is not suitable for
industrial or commercial use.
The appliance is operated with electrical power which means there is in
principle a risk of electric chock. Pay particular attention to the following: -
- Never touch the plug with wert hands
- If you want to pull the plug out of the socket then always pull directly on
the plug. Never on the cable as it could break
- Make sure that the power cable is not bent, caught or run over, and that it
does not come in contact with heat sources
- Never immerse the appliance in water or fluids and keep it way from rain
and moisture.
- Only operate the appliance if the electrical voltage stated on the
compliance plate beneath the appliance matches the voltage on your
socket. Wrong voltage can destroy the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unattended. Close supervision is required when
this appliance is used by or near children or infirm persons.
Do not allow children to use as a toy. Store it so it is inaccessible.
Packaging material must not be played with. There is a danger of
suffocation.
Do not vacuum: -
- Hot ash, burning cigarettes or matches These can cause fire.
- Sharp objects such as glass fragments, nails etc. These objects can
destroy the filter.
- Water and other fluids, especially damp carpet cleaning agents. Internal
dampness can lead to a short-circuit.
- Toner (for laser printer, copy machines etc). There is a risk of fire and
explosion.
- Plaster, cement etc. The filter can become blocked
- Hair, fingers and other body parts or clothing. They could be pulled in
and cause severe injuries.
Do not push objects into the openings of the appliance while it is running.
The appliance can get block and overheat.
Never operate a defective appliance or an appliance with a defective
cable.
Contact the distributor or electrical service agent for repair.

ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER
Please Note: Always remove the plug from the power socket before
fitting or removing accessories
Fitting the Flexible Hose and Floor Head
Insert the end of the vacuum cleaner hose
into the connection point and turn until it
clicks and locks into place. Fig 1 – 1 & 2

Insert the handle into the upper end
of the telescopic tubes. Fig 2 -1 & 2
Insert he lower end of the telescopic
tubes into the Floor Head. Fig 2 – 3

Adjust the length of the telescopic tube.
To do this press the telescopic tube lock
(Fig 3 – 1 & a) forward, then pull from the
handle to the desired length. Fig 3 – b
To lock in place, let go to release the tube
lock.
Using Accessories
The floor head is adjustable to suit
either hard floors or carpets.

Use this to vacuum hard to reach places
The small accessories conveniently
attach the handle.
To fit: -
1. Clip the attachment to the handle

2. Insert the 2 in 1 Upholstery Brush
into the attachment.

the hook on the handle. Then clip
the rounded top end into the
attachment as shown Fig 7 – B
OPERATION
NOTE: The vacuum has an overheating protection device It will
automatically switch off if it is overheated eg. From blocked nozzles, full
dust container or unclean filters. If this happens, then turn off the
vacuum and unplug from power socket. Clean and allow at least 45
minutes for the motor to cool down before re-using.
Pull the power cable out until the
yellow mark is visible. Fig 8 – 1
If you can see the red mark the cable
has been pulled out too far. Fig 8 – 2
Press the retract button until it winds
back in.
Press the ON / OFF switch
to start the vacuum.

To switch off, press the ON / OFF
switch Fig 10 – 2
Unplug from the power socket and
press the cord retract button until
fully retraced.
NOTE: The power cable can whip
around when being wound up;
therefore make sure you hold the
plug in one hand whilst retracting to
avoid any possible injury.
The hose and telescopic tube can
neatly be hooked onto the back of the
vacuum for upright storage.
Clip the floor brush (Fig 11 – 2) onto
the hook provision on the back of the
vacuum Fig 11 – 1
MAINTENANCE
Emptying the dust container
.
Empty the dust container a frequently as
possible or when the suction power is
reduced. Do not allow the dust to fill over
the “MAX’ line indicator. Fig 12 – 1
Press the release dust container release button
and pull cover open. Fig 13

Lift the small handle from the top of the dust
container and gently pull the dust container
from its housing. Fig 14
Hold the dust container in position over a rubbish bin and
press the button to open the he base and release the
dust.
The dust container can be wiped clean or washed in
warm soapy water and dried thoroughly. Remove the
mesh filter prior to washing. Fig 17
To remove the mesh filter, open the dust container
hold the base and twist clockwise. Fig 16 -1
Twist the mesh cover and remove cyclonic centre
piece. Both these parts can be wiped clean with a
damp cloth or washed in soapy water and dried
thoroughly. Fig 17

Cleaning Filters
Please Note: It is very important to keep the filters clean to receive
maximum performance from the vacuum. Not cleaning and not replacing
your filters regularly can reduce the suction power and cause
overheating of the motor.
There are 2 HEPA filters. The first, is the
pre-motor filter, located under the dust
container cover Fig 18
The second is the exhaust filter located at
the back of the vacuum Fig 19
Both HEPA filters require regular cleaning
and periodical replacement.
To access the exhaust filter, unclip the
exhaust grill from the back of the
vacuum Fig 19 - 1.
Hold on to the small hook on the
bottom of the filter and gently pull out.

hold onto the small hook and insert the
top first then push in the bottom of the
filter.
A small brush is located on the dust
container Fig 18 -1. This brush is to be
used to clean the HEPA filters.
HEPA FILTERS MUST BE REPLACED PERIODICALLY OR WHEN THEY
BEGIN TO DETERIORATE. TO PURCHASE FILTERS CONTACT THE

Cleaner for a full replacement for a period of 2 years from the date of
purchase, which is only valid with the presentation of the original proof of
purchase receipt. This guarantee covers materials and workmanship defects
only.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This guarantee does not apply to defects arising from abuse, alteration or
unreasonable use of the product. In addition, it does not cover general
deterioration due to usage.
This guarantee does not apply to the accessories, due to general
deterioration.
WHAT H.E. GROUP PTY LTD WILL DO
H.E. Group Pty Ltd will replace the product, if a defect is discovered whilst
under the guaranteed period, subject to verification of defect or malfunction,
date and proof of purchase.
