WASHING AND DRYING
If you use lots of heated styling products on your hair, it’s really important that you look after it!! Heated
styling products, like straighteners and hair dryers can cause damage to your hair if they are not used
properly. Washing your hair often is important as it maintains the level of moisture in your hair – this is
the key to shiny, healthy, happy hair!
To avoid unnecessary damage, try and follow these instructions when washing and styling your hair:
01 Make sure your hair is soaking wet and then apply shampoo. Ensure that you massage the
shampoo into your hair and scalp as this will clean your hair.
02 Rinse away shampoo using warm water until the water runs clear and no bubbles are left in
your hair.
03 Apply a moisturising conditioner to your hair paying particular attention to the ends. Rinse
thoroughly using warm water - try not to leave any conditioner in your hair as this can leave it
looking dull.
04 Always towel-dry your hair after washing to remove excess water. You should then apply a heat
protection spray as this will protect against heat damage.
05 Let your hair dry naturally for as long as possible before using your hair dryer as this will leave your
hair less frizzy and static. Once your hair is thoroughly dry – get ready for styling!!!

STYLING INFORMATION
01 Make sure your hair is totally dry before you begin styling, otherwise the weight of the water in your hair could
cause curls to drop faster than usual.
02 Use your sectioning clips to split your hair into manageable sections. If you want to create bigger, bouncier curls,
use larger sections of hair. For tighter, more defined curls, use smaller sections.
03 Take each section in turn and comb. For long lasting curls, spray each section with a light hairspray before using
the rollers.
04 Select the size of the roller you want to use. The smaller rollers will give tighter curls, so should be used on the
top sections of your hair. The medium and larger rollers create waves and should be used at the back and
underneath.
05 Hold the tip of your hair over the top of the roller you have chosen. Wind the hair around the roller towards
your head, being careful not to burn yourself. Secure in place using the clips provided as shown in the picture
– these are in 3 sizes so you need to choose the correct size to match the roller you are using.
06 Make sure the roller is secure, then repeat on the other sections of your hair.
07 Once all sections of you hair are secure, leave the rollers in place while you finish getting ready! Try and leave
them in for at least 20 minutes – the longer you leave them in, the better.
08 Release rollers in turn by removing the clips and unrolling your hair. To loosen curls, run your fingers through
your hair. The result – sexy curls that will last all day!
Headgear Tip – Loose curls and waves are really hot at the minute. To create this look follow the instructions above
then blast your hair with a hair dryer on full speed.
