Guide shows the easiest, most common connection.
Higher quality connections are explained in the accompanying owner’s manual and will provide better sound or
picture if your TV and / or audio system is compatible.

Disconnect all equipment from the power outlets. Connect the equipment to the power outlets only after you
have finished hooking up everything. Never make or change connections with equipment connected to the power outlet.

If you do have a Cable Box (or Satellite Receiver), first connect the Cable TV (or Satellite) signal to the IN
jack on the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver. Then, use an RF coaxial cable (like the one supplied) to connect
the OUT jack of the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver to the ANT-IN jack on the DVD / VCR.
If you do not have a Cable Box, simply connect your Antenna or Cable TV signal directly to the ANT-IN jack
on the rear of the DVD / VCR.

Connect the supplied black RF coaxial cable to the DVD / VCR’s ANT-OUT jack and to your TV’s ANTENNA
IN jack. The TV’s ANTENNA IN jack may be labelled 75-ohm,TV IN, or RF IN. Check your TV manual for details.

Plug the power cords of the DVD/VCR and the TV into an active power outlet.

Turn on the TV power. Set the TV to channel 3. (If you cannot use channel 3 at your TV, you can use channel 4
instead. However, you must set the DVD/VCR’s output channel to 4. See the accompanying DVD/VCR owner’s manual
for details.)

Press the STANDBY-ON 2 button on the DVD / VCR or its remote to turn on the DVD / VCR. The first
time you turn on the DVD/ VCR, you should complete the VCR setup. See the other side of this Quick-
Use Guide for details.

Playing a Disc

With the TV and DVD / VCR on, press the DVD
button to put the DVD / VCR in the DVD mode.

Press OPEN/ CLOSE / to open the disc tray.
Put a Disc in the tray with the label facing up and the shiny side
facing down.
Press OPEN/ CLOSE / again to close the disc tray.

Playback may start automatically. If not, press PLAY B.
If a DVD Disc menu appears, use the 1, 2, 3,4 or Number
buttons to select features or start playback. Follow the
instructions in the menu.

To stop playing a Disc, press STOP 9.
Setting Up the VCR the First Time

Turn on the TV and set it to channel 3.

Press VCR, then press STANDBY-ON 2. The VCR light will
appear on the front of the DVD/VCR. The display shown below
will appear.

Press 3 or 4 to select English, French, or Spanish as the
language for VCR displays. Then, press 2.

The AUTO SET UP message will appear. Press 2 to set up TV
channels for the VCR. When set up is complete, the lowest
TV channel will appear on the TV.

Débranchez tous les appareils des prises secteur. Branchez le matériel sur les prises secteur seulement quand
vous avez terminé toutes les connexions. N’établissez et ne modifiez jamais une connexion avec du matériel branché sur
une prise secteur.

Si vous avez un boîtier câble (ou récepteur satellite), commencez par connecter le signal de télévision
par câble (ou satellite) au jack d’entrée IN situé sur le boîtier câble/ récepteur satellite. Ensuite, utilisez le
câble coaxial RF (comme celui fourni) pour connecter le jack de sortie OUT du boîtier câble/récepteur satellite au jack
ANT-IN situé sur le combi DVD/Vidéo.
Si vous n’avez pas de boîtier câble, connectez simplement votre antenne ou votre signal de télévision par câble
directement au jack ANT-IN situé à l’arrière du combi DVD/ Vidéo.

Connectez le câble coaxial RF noir fourni au jack de sortie ANT-OUT du combi DVD / Vidéo et à l’entrée
de l’antenne du téléviseur ANTENNA IN. Le jack d’entrée de l’antenne du téléviseur peut s’appeler
75-ohm,TV IN ou RF IN. Pour en savoir plus, consultez le mode d’emploi de votre téléviseur.

Connectez les cordons d’alimentation du combi DVD / Vidéo et du téléviseur à une prise secteur active.

Allumez votre téléviseur. Réglez le téléviseur sur le canal. (Pour en savoir plus, reportez-vous au mode d’emploi
du combi DVD/Vidéo fourni.)

Appuyez sur le bouton STANDBY-ON 2 sur le combi DVD/Vidéo ou de la télécommande pour allumer
le combi DVD / Vidéo. La première fois que vous allumerez le combi DVD/Vidéo, vous devrez terminer la
configuration du magnétoscope. Pour en savoir plus, reportez-vous au verso de ce guide de démarrage rapide.

Lecture d’un disque

Après avoir mis sous tension le téléviseur et le combi DVD / Vidéo,
appuyez sur le bouton DVD pour mettre le combi DVD / Vidéo en
mode DVD.

Appuyez sur OPEN/CLOSE / pour ouvrir le tiroir. Placez un disque
dans le tiroir avec la face étiquette vers le haut et la face brillante vers le bas.
Appuyez à nouveau sur OPEN/ CLOSE / pour refermer le tiroir.

La lecture commencera peut-être automatiquement. Sinon, appuyez sur
PLAY B. Si le menu du disque DVD s’affiche, utilisez le boutons 1 2 3 4
, OK ou les touches numériques pour sélectionner les fonctionnalités ou
lancer la lecture. Suivez les instructions du menu.

Pour arrêter la lecture du disque, appuyez sur le bouton STOP 9.
Disques compatibles
Ce lecteur de DVD peut lire les types de disques suivants.
Les DVD doivent porter un code pour toutes les régions (ALL) ou pour la région 1.
Les DVD doivent être enregistrés en utilisant le système de couleur NTSC ou PAL.

Configuration du magnétoscope lors de la première
utilisation

Allumez le téléviseur et sélectionnez le canal
vidéo 3.

Appuyez sur VCR, puis appuyez sur STANDBY-ON 2.
Le voyant du magnétoscope VCR apparaîtra sur la façade du
combi DVD/Vidéo.
L’affichage suivant apparaîtra.

Appuyez sur 3 ou 4 pour sélectionner la langue désirée
– Anglais, Français ou Espagnol – pour l’affichage du
magnétoscope. Ensuite, appuyez sur 2.

Le message d’INSTALLATION AUTOMATIQUE apparaîtra.
Appuyez sur 2 pour installer les canaux TV pour le
magnétoscope. Lorsque l’installation est complètement
réalisée, le canal TV le plus bas apparaîtra sur le téléviseur.
