Using Timer Viewing
You can set a desired channel to be displayed automatically at the intended time.
Set the current time first to use this function.
1. Press the ENTER

button on the Schedule Manager screen.
2. Press the ENTER

button to add manual booking.
3. Press the
◄/►/▲/▼
button to set the Channel, Repeat, Date, Start Time.
Channel: Select the desired channel.

Repeat: Select Once, Manual, Sat~Sun, Mon~Fri or Everyday to set at
your convenience. If you select Manual, you can set the day you want.
The (
c
) mark indicates the day is selected.
Date: You can set desired date.
It is available when you select Once in Repeat.
Start Time: You can set start time you want.
If you want to edit or cancel the schedule, select the reserved schedule on
the Schedule List, and select the Edit or Cancel Schedules.

Channel List
You can view channel information, Added Channels or Favorites 1-5.
When you press the CH LIST button on the remote control, Channel List
screen will be displayed at once.
Added Channels: Shows all
added channels.
Favorites 1-5: Shows all favorite
channels.
Favorites 1-5 will be
displayed when you set Add
to Favorites.
If you want to view favorite
channels you added, press the CH LIST button and use
(CH Mode)
button to move Favorites 1-5.

Set each channel using the Channel Manager menu options (Watch, Add to
Favorites/Edit Favorites, Lock/Unlock, Channel Name Edit, Add/Delete, Deselect
All, Select All). Option menu items may differ depending on the channel status.
1. Select a channel and press the TOOLS button.
2. Select a function and change its settings.
Watch: Watch the selected channel.
Add to Favorites / Edit Favorites: Set channels you watch frequently as favorites.
1. Select the Add to Favorites / Edit Favorites, then press the ENTER

If the channel is already added to favorite channel, Edit Favorites will be
shown.

button to select Favorites 1-5, then press the OK
button.
One favorite channel can be added in several of Favorites among
Favorites 1-5.
Lock / Unlock: Lock a channel so that the channel cannot be selected and
viewed.
This function is available only when the Channel Lock is set to On.
The PIN input screen appears. Enter your 4-digit PIN, the default of which is
“0-0-0-0”. Change the PIN using the Change PIN option.

Channel Name Edit: Assign your own channel name.
Add / Delete: Delete or add a channel to display the channels you want.
NOTE
All deleted channels will be shown on the All Channels menu.
A gray-colored channel indicates the channel has been deleted.
The Add menu only appears for deleted channels.
Deselect All: Deselect all the selected channels.
You can only select Deselect All when one or more channels are selected.
Select All: Select all the channels in the channel list.

Antenna (Air / Cable)

Before your television can begin memorizing the available channels, you must
specify the type of signal source that is connected to the TV (i.e. an Air or a
Cable system).

Auto Program
Scans for a channel automatically and stores in the TV.
Air: Air antenna signal.
Cable: Cable antenna signal.
When selecting the Cable TV system: Selects the cable system. STD, HRC and
IRC identify various types of cable TV systems. Contact your local cable company
to identify the type of cable system that exists in your particular area. At this point,
the signal source has been selected.
After all the available channels are stored, it starts to remove scrambled channels.
The Auto program menu then reappears.

Fine Tune
If the reception is clear, you do not have to fine tune the channel, as this is done
automatically during the search and store operation. If the signal is weak or
distorted, fine tune the channel manually.
Select Fine Tune in the Channel menu.
Fine tuned channels that have been saved are marked with an asterisk “
*
” on
the right-hand side of the channel number in the channel banner.
To reset the fine-tuning, select Reset.

Color System (Auto / PAL-M / PAL-N / NTSC)
Normally the TV can receive image and sound with good quality in Auto
mode. This mode detects the color signal sources automatically. If the color
implementation is unsatisfactory, select any of PAL-M, PAL-N or NTSC.

Entertain: Suitable for watching movies and games.
It is only available when connecting a PC.

Backlight / Contrast / Brightness / Sharpness / Color / Tint (G/R)
Your television has several setting options for picture quality control.
NOTE
When you make changes to Backlight, Contrast, Brightness,
Sharpness, Color or Tint (G/R) the OSD will be adjusted accordingly.
When connecting a PC, you can only make changes to Backlight,
Contrast, Brightness and Sharpness.
Settings can be adjusted and stored for each external device connected
to the TV.

Screen Adjustment
Set the various picture options such as picture size and aspect ratio.
Picture Size: Your cable box/satellite receiver may have its own set of screen
sizes as well. However, we highly recommend you use 16:9 mode most of the
time.
16:9: Sets the picture to 16:9 wide mode.
Zoom1: Use for moderate magnification.
Zoom2: Use for a stronger magnification.
Wide Fit: Enlarges the aspect ratio of the picture to fit the entire screen.
4:3: Sets the picture to basic (4:3) mode.
Do not watch in 4:3 format for a long time. Traces of borders displayed
on the left, right and center of the screen may cause image retention
(screen burn) which are not covered by the warranty.

Screen Fit: Displays the full image without any cut-off when HDMI (720p /
1080i / 1080p) or Component (1080i / 1080p) signals are input.
Smart View1
for LCD 550 series
: Reduces original screen by 50%.
Smart View2
for LCD 550 series
: Reduces original screen by 25%.
NOTE
Smart View1, Smart View2 is enabled only in HDMI modes.
The picture size can vary depending on the input resolution when
content is played using Videos under My Contents.
