Coaxial Dipole Antenna Installation
Installation
Mount the antenna vertically as shown with radial mountaing depending on your application. (If
installation is above 50 feet from the ground, see diagram A. If installation is below 50 feet, see
diagram B.) Antenna should be mounted in such a way as to provide line of sight to receivers. In
general, the higher the mounting the better. NOTE: You will need 76” of vertical clearance to
mount the 72MHz antenna (LA-116) and 24” of veritcal clearance to moun the 216MHz antenna
(LA-117).
Above 50'
(15.24m)
Higher Level Installations
In larger facilities (such as an arena or gymnasium) where the antenna is mounted substantially
higher than users, mount the antenna such that the “radial” is mounted DOWN.

Ground Level Installations
When the antenna is to be mounted at or near ground level (less than 50 feet above ground),
mount the antenna such that the “radial” is pointed UP.
Below 50'
(15.24m)
IMPORTANT
Make sure the feed line does
not protrude above the radial
side, at least within 12 feet
(3.65m) of the antenna.
NOTE: A LA-121 BNC adapter is required when using the LA-116 (72MHz) with the LT-800-072.
The LA-121 IS included with the LT-800.
