Massage Chair. Before you start using the uDivine Massage Chair, please read
this operation manual thoroughly for the correct methods of usage, especially
taking note of the section on safety.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using the massage chair, basic precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
Read all instructions before using this massage chair.
DANGER – To reduce the risk of electric shock:
1. Always unplug this massage chair from the electrical outlet immediately after
using and before cleaning.
2. Never use pins or other metallic fasteners with this appliance.
3. Carefully examine the covering before each use. Call for service if the
covering shows any sign of deterioration, such as blistering, peeling or cracking.
4. Keep dry—Do not operate in a wet or moist condition.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
2. A massage chair should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from
the outlet when it is not in use and before putting on or taking off parts.
3. Close supervision is necessary when this massage chair is used by or near children or
disabled persons. Keep children away from reclining backrest and extended leg rest.
4. Use this massage chair only for its intended use as described in this manual.
Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
5. Never operate this massage chair if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not
working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.

6. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
7. Never operate the massage chair with the air openings blocked. Keep the air
openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen
is being administered.
11. To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove the plug from
the outlet.
12. Do not stand on or in the massage chair. Use only while seated.
13. The product is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a
person responsible for their safety.

14. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
15. Burns may result from improper use.
16. Do not crush—avoid sharp folds.
17. Keep children away from extended foot support (or other similar parts).
18. DO NOT WET—DO NOT USE PINS.
19. NEVER REMOVE COVER.
20. Connect this appliance to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This massage chair is intended for household use only.
1. Usage Environment
Do not use the uDivine in an excessively humid or dusty environment
as this may result in malfunction or electric shock.
Do not use the uDivine in a room with a temperature of 104° F or higher.
Do not expose the uDivine to heaters, stoves or direct sunlight.
Place and use the uDivine on an even, non-slip floor.
The uDivine is designed for home use and not for commercial purposes.
Caution
The uDivine is to be used indoors only.
If you use the uDivine in a cold room, do not increase the room temperature abruptly.
It is recommended that you increase the temperature gradually to a normal level.
If the uDivine is stored in a cold place and is being brought into a warm environment,
it is advisable to wait one hour before use. This is because its performance may not
be at optimum level, as there may be water droplets on the mechanical parts due to
condensation. Using the uDivine under such conditions may result in malfunction.

2. Safety Precautions
To ensure safe and correct use of the uDivine, do not operate it without reading
this operation manual carefully.
Do not use the uDivine when the upholstery or seat is removed. This may cause
injury or malfunction.
Do not use the uDivine in combination with other therapeutic equipment or electric
blanket, etc., as this may result in ineffectiveness or injury.
Do not use the uDivine an hour before or after eating as this may have adverse effects
on the user.
Do not allow children or pets to play around the uDivine, e.g., behind the backrest, under
the seat or leg rest of the uDivine. This may result in injury.
Do not rest or place heavy objects on the armrests, leg rest or backrest as this
may result in malfunction or injury.
Do not use the uDivine when your body is wet.
Do not operate the uDivine with wet hands.
It is not recommended to use the massage for more than 15 minutes.
Do not perform continuous massage on the same spot of your body for more
than 5 minutes at a time as this may result in excessive stimulation and may have
adverse effects.
Do not insert your hand or foot along the paths of the massage rollers during
use as this may cause injury.
Stop operation immediately if you experience any discomfort.
This product is not intended for self-treatment of conditions that should be managed
by a qualified health care provider.
People on medication or with medical conditions, please consult your doctor
before use. Please do not use the product if you are not feeling well.
Remove all scarves, neckties, necklaces and jewelry before using the massager.
3. People with Medical Conditions
Consult your doctor before use if you:
are under medical rest as ordered by a doctor.
have spinal disorders, an abnormal spinal condition or have suffered
a spinal injury.
have back problems.
have diabetes, osteoporosis or sensory impairment.
have joint dysfunction.
have a pacemaker or other electronic medical devices.
may be pregnant.
have phlebitis or thrombosis.
have an increased risk for blood clots.
had recent surgery.
have surgical pins, screws, or anything mechanical implanted in your body.

Caution
The uDivine is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the uDivine by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the uDivine.
Avoid using the uDivine under the influence of alcohol.
Do not apply massage rollers directly on the head, elbow or knee joints, torso
or abdomen.
If your legs or feet slip off the leg rest during massage, do not force them back in as
this may result in injury.
Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet immediately should liquid be ac-
cidentally spilled onto the uDivine. Do not use wet hands to connect or disconnect the
power plug from the electrical outlet.
Do not tamper with the power cord or use the uDivine with a damaged cord
as this may result in malfunction and electric shock.
4. Instances when the uDivine Should Not Be Used
In the following events, please switch off the main power switch immediately and disconnect
the power cord from the electrical outlet:
If water is accidentally spilled onto the uDivine. This may result in electric shock
or malfunction.
If the fabric of the backrest is torn and the internal components are exposed.
If pain or discomfort is felt during massage, stop operation immediately
and consult your doctor.
If you detect any malfunction or any other abnormal condition during operation.
If there is a power failure. Injury may occur when power is restored unexpectedly.
If there is lightning.
5. Assembly and Repair of the uDivine
Do not disassemble the backrest cover of the uDivine. Touching the internal components
may result in malfunction or electric shock.
The uDivine must only be professionally serviced or repaired. Do not attempt
to disassemble or repair the uDivine yourself.

6. Things to Note About the Power Plug and Cord
Check that the Alternating Current (AC) voltage corresponds with the specifications
indicated for the uDivine.
Do not connect or disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet with
wet hands. This may result in malfunction or electric shock.
When disconnecting the power plug, pull it by holding the plug, not the cord.
Although operation will be stopped automatically by the Auto-Timer function, always
remember to switch off the main power switch after use.
Do not place the power cord under the uDivine or any other heavy objects.
Do not wind the power cord around the uDivine as this may damage the cord
and result in a fire or electric shock.
Do not operate the uDivine with a damaged cord or extension cord.
Do not use the uDivine if the electrical outlet is loose.
If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by a qualified technician.
7. Grounding Instructions
This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides
a path of least resistance for the electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This
product is equipped with a cord with an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding
plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
DANGER—Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk
of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service technician if you are in doubt
as to whether the product is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the
product—if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
This product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has a grounding plug that
looks like the plug illustrated below. Make sure that the product is connected to an outlet
having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product.

Do not sit, step or place heavy objects on the controller.
Do not drop the controller. It is recommended that the controller unit be placed in the
controller casing when not in use.
Do not exert excessive force on the controller.
Do not handle the controller with wet hands.
Do not operate the controller using sharp-edged or hard objects to press the buttons. It may
result in damage.

Preparation before use
Setting up the uDivine
The chair is packed with its backrest in
its fully reclined position.
Before use, ensure that the backrest is
raised fully to its upright position.
Caution
Do not use the uDivine in bathrooms,
saunas, or other locations with high
humidity.
Use the uDivine only when it is placed
on an even, flat surface.
Do not use the uDivine in dirty or
dusty locations, or in areas where the
surrounding temperature is 104° F or higher.
Do not place the uDivine in areas exposed
to direct sunlight or near a heater.
Placing the headrest pad
Insert the loose end of the headrest pad
under the strap of the backrest pad as
shown.
Placing the uDivine
Allow at least 28" of space behind the
uDivine and 32" of space in front, so the
uDivine can recline without obstruction
during operation.
Maintain a minimum distance of 39"
from AV devices such as television or
radio to prevent signal interference.

As the uDivine is heavy, please exercise
extra care not to damage floor surfaces
when positioning it.
It is recommended that a carpet is
placed under the uDivine to prevent
damaging floor surfaces and to reduce
noise level during operation.

Preparation before use
Caution
Do not move the uDivine with someone
in it. This will cause the uDivine to tip
over and cause accident and injury.
Moving Method (2)
Raise the backrest fully to its upright
position and retract the footrest fully.
Turn the main power switch OFF and
unplug the power plug from the outlet.
Move the chair by lifting it, as illustrated.
Moving the uDivine
The uDivine is fitted with casters for easy
maneuverability over a short distance.
There are 2 ways to move the chair.
Moving Method (1)
Raise the backrest fully to its upright
position and retract the footrest fully.
Turn the main power switch OFF and
unplug the power plug.
Lift the front of the chair as shown in
the diagram below and wheel it to the
desired location.

Caution
It is recommended that a carpet be
placed under the uDivine to prevent
scratching of the flooring and to reduce
noise level during operation.
As the uDivine is heavy, please exercise
extra care not to damage the floor
surfaces when positioning it.
Maintain a minimum distance of 39
inches from AV devices such as a
television or radio to prevent signal
interference.
Use the uDivine only when it is placed
on an even, flat surface.
Sitting on the uDivine
The rollers are usually stored in the
upper part of the backrest. This position
is known as the “storage position”.
If the rollers are not in the storage
position, simply reset by pressing the
power button on the controller before
sitting on the uDivine.

Power ON/OFF
Connect the power cord to the uDivine
power inlet.
Insert the power plug of the uDivine into
the electrical outlet.
Turn ON/OFF the main switch located at
the back of the uDivine.
Preparation before use
Caution
Make sure the power cord is not placed
under the uDivine.
Make sure all switches are in the OFF
position (including the main power
switch) before connecting the power
plug to an electrical outlet.
Checking the backrest pad
Lift the backrest pad to ensure that there
is no hole or tear on the backrest pad.
Adjusting the arm

Raise both sides of the arm massage
units fully as shown.
Adjusting the shoulder
massage units
Slightly push to adjust the shoulder
massage units to your desired width
(2 width positions available).
For a balanced massage experience,
it is advisable to have both shoulder
massage units at similar width positions.

Note
If rollers are in the middle of the backrest
when operation is terminated, they will
return to storage position when the main
power switch is turned on again.

Raising/reclining
the backrest
To raise the backrest
Press and hold the backrest button [

until the backrest is lifted to the desired
angle.
To recline the backrest
Press and hold the backrest button [
]
and push the backrest down to the
desired angle.
Connecting the music source
An audio cable with 3.5 mm plug is
mounted inside the right armrest casing,
in front of the arm massage unit. Pull it
out to connect with your music source.
Turn on the music, following instructions
for your music player.
Always check to ensure that there are
no holes or tears on the backrest pad.
Stop using the uDivine immediately if
you find even the slightest tear. Unplug
the uDivine and contact Brookstone
Customer Service at 866-336-3199.
Raising (extending)/lowering

To raise/extend the footrest
Press and hold the footrest button [

until the footrest is at the desired angle
or length.
To lower/retract the footrest
Press and hold the footrest button [

Safety release function
In the event of a power failure
Slide the cover open for safety release
knob on the footrest.
Push and turn the safety release knob
clockwise approximately 30 times to
widen the kneading discs.
Turn your feet sideways, then lift your
knees to ease legs from the footrest.

Preparation before use
Caution
Do not sit on the chair with the footrest
raised. Any sudden heavy weight on
the footrest could cause damage to the
mechanism, accident and injury if the
chair tips over.
Ensure that the backrest returns to its
most upright position before sitting on
the chair, and reclining it according to
your preference.
Do not place fingers or objects in the
gap between the seat and the backrest/
footrest.
Ensure that there is no obstruction when
adjusting the angle of the backrest/
footrest.

Press and hold the Upright button
[ ] to return the backrest rollers/
backrest/footrest to their default
position.
Remove your shoes when using
the chair.
Do not stand on the footrest unit when it
is elevated.
ALWAYS retract the footrest unit to its
original position after use.
Always check to ensure that there are no
holes or tears on the backrest pad. Stop
using the uDivine immediately if you find
even the slightest tear. Unplug the
uDivine and contact Brookstone
Customer Service.
Caution

In an emergency or any malfunction,
press [
] button to stop the massage.
Rollers will return to storage position. Turn
off the Main Switch.
You can change from one Automatic
Program to another program at any time
without having to wait for it to complete.
However, changing between programs
will not reset the timer. Keep each
massage session to no longer than 15
minutes.
Do not massage any particular area of the
body for more than 5 minutes.
Keep massage sessions to a maximum
total of 30 minutes per day.

Keep massage sessions to a total maximum of 30 minutes per day.

1. Turn on the controller by pressing [
].
2. By default, the Quick massage program icon [

will illuminate on standby for selection.
3. Using the 4-way directional buttons,
press ‘DOWN’ to select Settings [
].
4. Press [ OK ] to proceed to the next screen.
The Shoulder Position icon [
] will light up.

7. Press ‘RIGHT’ to select the Timer icon [
].
8. Press [OK] to view the Timer selection
(5/10/15 minutes).
9. Using the 4-way directional buttons, press ‘LEFT’
or ‘RIGHT’ to select your desired massage duration.
Press [OK] to confirm selection and return to
Settings.
5. Press [OK] to view Shoulder Position (9 levels).
6. Use the 4-way directional buttons ‘UP’ or ‘DOWN’
to adjust your desired shoulder height. Press [OK] to
confirm your selection and return to Settings.

Simplified Chinese /Korean).
12. Using the 4-way directional buttons, press ‘LEFT’
or ‘RIGHT’ to select your desired language.
