CARD INSTALLATION: SIM 1, SIM 2 en

MICRO SD

The SIM card slot and an SD memory card are

located on the left side of the device. To

install the cards, first remove the protective

rubber and then gently pull on the metal

frame.

(you can do this with the aid of tweezers):

Before you start installing the cards, make

sure that the phone is switched off and not

connected to the adapter or other

accessories.

After switching on, the phone must

automatically recognize the cards. Note: the

hybrid slot works according to the following

principle: two SIM cards or one SIM card and

one micro SD card.

Be careful when using a memory card, especially

during insertion and removal. Some memory

cards must be formatted with a computer

before the first use. Back up regularly your of

information when using SD cards! Use outside of

the rules or other factors can cause damage to

or loss of the contents of the cards.

PRECAUTIONS DURING CARD

INSTALLATION

Switch the phone off and wait a few

seconds before inserting or removing the SIM

card (s). Take care of the SIM card (SD), do not

bend or scratch it.

When the SIM card is inserted or

damaged, a message appears on the screen

when the phone is switched on to indicate that

there is no card in the given slot. Check that the

card is correctly inserted and not damaged, and

then turn on the phone again. If the device still

does not detect the card, you must provide it to

replacement.

INSTALLATION BATTERY

The Syco RS-401 has a permanently

installed battery in the housing of the

device.

In the event of damage to the battery,

send the entire device to an authorized Syco

service center. Attempts to remove the

battery by an unauthorized service or

person are treated as equivalent to the loss

of the warranty.

To reset the device (this corresponds to

the temporary removal of the battery),

press and hold the ON / OFF BUTTON (about

10 seconds). (9). The device loses power for

a moment and then automatically restarts.

CHARGE THE BATTERY

Never use a charger or battery that is not

from the manufacturer or damaged. Other

types or modifications may damage the

phone and void the warranty.

When the battery reaches 15% of the charge, a

message appears indicating that the battery

needs to be charged. To charge the battery,

connect the charger to the wall socket and to

the telephone.

Please note that incorrect connection of the

charging plug (eg opposite) to the USB

connection can cause serious damage to the

device, but is not covered by the warranty.

When using chargers from other manufacturers,

make sure that the charger has a micro USB

plug.

The battery symbol on the display () indicates

the charge level of the battery. It takes about

3-4 hours to fully charge the battery. While

charging, you can use the device, but this

extends the charging time. It is normal for the

device to warm up.

Attention!

The ambient temperature during charging

must be between 0 °C and + 40 °C.

Batteries will wear after a certain time, which

means that their charging time will be shorter

and shorter.

SAVING THE BATTERY ENERGIE

(INTELLIGENT ENERGIE SAVING)

The device offers options to help you save

battery power. By changing these options and

disabling functions that are running in the

background, you can extend the operating

time of the device:

Every time you do not use the device,

you put it into sleep mode,

Close unnecessary applications,

Turn off Bluetooth,

Turn off Wi-Fi,

Decrease the backlight time,

Reduce the brightness of the screen.

SWITCH THE DEVICE ON/OFF

Press and hold the BUTTON for a few

on the device for the first time, configure the

device by following the on-screen

instructions. The first step is to configure the

internet connection (using WiFi or

transmission and data) of the Google accounts

(Gmail).

If the SIM card is protected with a PIN code, enter

it using the keypad displayed on the screen and

then confirm. Use the return key to erase digits in

the event of a mistake.

Pay attention!

If the PIN and PUK codes are not supplied with

the SIM card, contact your network operator. If

the PIN code is entered incorrectly three times,

the SIM card is blocked and the PUK code is

required.

GOOGLE DEVICE PROTECTION

For security reasons, GOOGLE Inc. introduced

additional security for devices from Android

(Google Device Protection). The above protects

your data and prevents the recovery of settings

by unwanted people, for example in the case of

theft.

"Google Device Protection" is automatically

enabled if you set two elements:

- screen lock (via pin code, pattern or

password)

- a special Google account.

We kindly ask you to enter the security

information in a deliberate and careful

manner, both phone locks and credentials

when setting up your Google Account.

After restoring the factory settings you can

only unlock by logging in to an existing /

previously assigned to your device Google

account.

The company Syco warns you: Please note

that complaints regarding the blocking of

the "Google Device Protection" phone are

not taken into account or will be removed

at the request of the customer.

The Syco RS-401 smartphone is equipped

with the Android ™ 8 operating system.

Android is the most popular system with

Linux kernel in the world, adapted to

support mobile devices. The system itself, as

maintained by the manufacturer (Google

Inc.), is an open system that can be

customized by the customer to his own

needs.

It offers a wide range of functions available in

the system itself and the Play Store, where you

can download and install any application on

your device. If you are an Android user, there

are many tutorials and other learning tools

available on the market that allow you to fully

explore the possibilities of this system. In this

manual the basic functions of the device /

system are discussed.

TOUCHSCREEN

The device is equipped with a touch screen (5 ",

the so-called multitouch) instead of a classic

keyboard. The screen acts as a display and

keyboard.

Pay attention!

Turn off the screen when the device is not in use. If

the screen is not used for a long time, it may lead to

burn-out.

TOUCHING THE SCREEN

Touch - includes a single touch of the screen.

Tap to select an item, shortcut, link or letter

from the on-screen keyboard.

Tapping and holding - is touching and holding

an item on the screen without lifting your finger

until the action is taken.

Drag - to touch the selected item and then,

without lifting your finger, move the screen to

the final position.

Shift - means that you quickly move your

finger across the screen surface. For example,

if you scroll up and down on the screen, you

can scroll through the list and you can scroll

from one side to the other to view different

home screens.

Double-tap - you can zoom in or out on the

website or map with two tapes. If you

double-tap, you can also zoom in and out

while viewing photos.

Zooming in by moving - shifting or spreading

the index finger and thumb, you can zoom in

or out. The movement is very useful when

browsing through maps and photos.

Notifications on top of the screen (status bar)

inform about the status of some functions of the

device (missed call, alarm, WiFi enabled, new

Dragging down the status bar gives you more

information about notifications. If you press (ALL)

DELETE, evaluated ratings will be deleted.

START THE SCREEN

From the home screen you have access to all

functions of the device. It shows indicator icons,

widgets, shortcuts to applications and other

items. The start screen can contain many panels.

To view other panels, swipe left or right. To create

another panel (desktop), drag a shortcut to any

edge of an application.

BLOCK AND UNLOCK THE SCREEN

If you lock the device, the display and the touch

screen are switched off. You can do this at any

time by pressing the ON / OFF BUTTON. (9), on

the side of the phone.

Unlocking is done in the same way. Press the

ON / OFF BUTTON. (9) and drag the icon

with your finger on the screen. The customer

can also set a different, safer blocking method,

for example a pattern or PIN code.

EXECUTE AND RECEIVE CALLS

The "Telephone" application is used to

make, receive and manage calls, usually in the

lower-left corner of the home screen. To

answer a call, tap the headset icon and drag to

the right; reject - drag to the left.

APPLICATIONS

The device is Android (version 8) installed. It

is the most popular and most universal

system used in smartphones. That is why

you can search for the many applications

that have been written for it (of applications

that improve and facilitate the device for all

kinds of games, organizers or applications

that support social networking sites).

The easiest way to find and install a selected

program is an application called "Play Store".

Tap the home screen and look for "Play

Store".

Each application can also be installed

directly on the phone, eg by downloading

from the WWW network and then

uploading with a cable connected to the

computer.
